Shut Up & Die

Rate this book
Sadie Rivers has loved Milo Dasch forever. He’s her best friend, her safe place, the boy she’s certain will one day see her the same way.

But then Milo meets Sadie’s mother. Jackie Rivers isn’t the woman he expected—she’s younger, magnetic, and dangerously alluring. What begins as fascination turns into desire, and soon Milo finds himself caught in a secret, all-consuming affair that could destroy everything.

Jackie knows it’s wrong. Milo knows it’s a betrayal. But the pull between them is stronger than reason, stronger than loyalty—and far stronger than Sadie’s fragile heart.
In a world where passion blurs the lines of love and morality, Shut Up & Die is a haunting forbidden romance about temptation, secrets, and the devastating price of desire.

So let me start by saying I managed to miss the trigger warnings for this. I am not usually a spicy reader but by the time I realized this wasnt necessary a murder mystery I was committed to reading to the end to find out what happened. These characters felt so real and I just wanted to slap Jackie silly and ask her what she was thanking.

Honestly I the ending did bring closure and was the best ending for this story unfortunately. Was definitely worth reading if your a fan of spice.

TW: SA

Shut up&die was a rollercoaster! My favorite chapter was chapter 26 because of the major plot twist. Each page was descriptive and drew you into the theme even further.

There was an accurate representation of SA, and the dangers of an older/teenage relationship dynamic. Fast-paced despite being 200+pgs. An easy, enjoyable read. Highly recommended. I have over 100 highlights from this book! Very entertaining to get you through a few days.
