Dangerous Target

She learned the hard way that trust can be deadly.

A teenage brush with human trafficking transformed Luna Pannikos into OSI Dark Ops' most lethal tech specialist. Behind encrypted firewalls, she's untouchable—until skilled Air Force operative Boone Langston starts dismantling her defenses one smile at a time.

When he becomes the target, she becomes his lifeline.

When Boone gets separated from his team during a black ops mission gone wrong, Luna becomes the voice in his ear—his only hope for survival. But the enemy hunting him has discovered the woman watching from the shadows, the one who helped destroy his operation. Now he wants them both.

Some evils refuse to stay buried.

With old enemies resurfacing and time running out, Boone must eliminate the threat before Luna becomes collateral damage. But in this deadly game, she's no longer just his tech support—she's the woman he wants to spend forever with.

TJ Logan is an award-winning author of romantic suspense anchored by strong themes of family, honor, and loyalty. Her writing journey began in 2012, when a bunch of strange voices popped into her head.

Hoping to exorcise the craziness, she started typing, which simply ushered in more—as if she’d cracked open some sort of portal for fictional characters to charge through. And boy did they ever!

She grew up in a military family, lived all over the country, and was surrounded by five brothers … and, shockingly, lived to tell about it. She was also a key member of a team that managed a secret program for one of the world’s top defense companies. All of these things have given TJ an interesting perspective on life. And every bit of it goes into her writing!

Family, Honor, and Loyalty aren’t just words in a tagline to TJ. They are everything.

After watching Luna grow from a bratty, cult-entangled teenager into the brilliant tech genius of the OSI Dark Ops team, I have been screaming for her to get her own book. TJ Logan absolutely delivered!

Luna’s journey of healing from the trauma of "The Farm" is handled with such heart. She’s spent years hiding behind her monitors and firewalls, but Boone—the patient, deadly sniper with a heart of gold—is the perfect hero to help her drop her shields. Their chemistry is a slow-burn masterpiece, built on mutual respect and a shared mission to take down a disgusting human trafficker from Boone’s past.

Why you should read it Seeing Luna move from a side character to a powerhouse lead is so satisfying. The hunt for Aaron Udall keeps the adrenaline pumping from start to finish. Boone is the ultimate "who did this to you" hero, but he never stifles Luna’s brilliance.

This is a must-read for fans of romantic suspense and tech-savvy heroines. If you’ve been following the O’Halloran series, you cannot miss this one!

Dangerous Target is a fantastic story. Luna and Boone both work for O'Halleran Security. Luna is their tech specialist and Boone is an operative. Luna is leary about starting a relationship with Boone, but they soon become a couple. It's a rich story of ranch life with awesome characters mixed with black ops secret missions. An escaped convict from Boone's past shows up for revenge, while Boone's in Afghanistan on a dark ops mission. The mission goes south. Lots of action scenes that will keep you on the edge of your chair. The convict ends up seeking revenge, putting Luna in danger at the ranch. Its a great story with a wonderful, exciting ending you'll enjoy.

This is the fifth book in the OSI Dark Ops series and T.J. keeps delivering on the action packed stories that keep you on the edge of your seat! I love the strong camaraderie that is found among the team members and the support for each other. Boone and Luna circle each other and with Boone's persistence/patience their relationship develops at their pace. As they explore their new relationship an enemy from Boone's past resurrects and threatens both his family and Luna. The suspense and unknown dangers are what draws me into the story and keeps me turning the page to find out what happens next! A great read and HEA! Looking forward to following the team in the next book in the series.

Content warning. Kidnapping, violence against women and children, not by MMC.
Both Boone and Luna have a past. Some of it happy, some sad and some an intense punch to the gut. But all of it pulls at the emotions as we get to fall for this couple as they fall in love. I really liked the progression of their relationship, it was cute as well as steamy.
But the darkness of the past sometimes shows up to take another punch at you. And the darkness is at Boone's door!
As the OSI Dark OPS goes on the move, Luna starts to wonder if Boone is too close to the problem to help the team. As their relationship grows, so does the rot of the man they're after. And he has a score to settle.
But so does Boone.
Gritty action, steam and suspense made this a good story!

First off, Dangerous Target is worth reading twice. Yes, I said twice because the first time I was sick, and things weren’t making any sense at all to me.
So this isn’t the usual OSI book it’s different in a good way. Things you expect are not always the same.
I thought this was going to be along the same lines.
I was wrong. I am not giving hints or when it changes, if you have to be like me, start over. DO IT!
This book is surprising, with a little bit of everything thrown in with action, romance, family dynamics and renewal of faith in our selves and others.

Luna Pannikos, a tech specialist for O'Halleran Security, is the behind the scenes operative. She has her eyes on every mission and now her eyes are also on Boone Langston, a new member of the team. There is an intense attraction between them, but Luna's past keeps her skittish. In order to show how much he cares for her, Boone realizes he must take things very slow. As their attraction toward each other grows, a member of Boone's past resurfaces and attempts to harm anyone associated with him. A very suspenseful story!!

This is the 5th book in the OSI series, featuring Boone and Luna. Luna is the tech specialist and Boone is a former special ops soldier. While Luna's past experiences make her untrustful of men, Boone is trying really hard to be her friend. He thinks she's beautiful and very special. But his past comes knocking at the door in a very bad way. And it becomes a danger to those he cares about. This is a great addition to the series and I must admit I couldn't put it down. I Loved this book.

I did receive and ARC copy form the author, so the opinions are my own.

Rancher!!

Swoon worthy cowboy and a woman who is afraid to trust. These two are perfect for each other. Boone Langston has all the patience in the world. Luna is gun shy after events that happened to her.
All the team is back to bring down evil in the form of a past associate.

“I have no problem waiting until you’re ready to trust me with all of you.”

Danger is around every corner for the couple but with the OSI Dark Ops team always have their backs.

Absolutely fantastic story that you don’t want to miss.

Dangerous Target

Luna has spent seven years recovering from her time at The Farm, a dangerous commune she became involved in when she was 17. Her involvement nearly cost her brother-in-law and sister their lives. The trauma she experienced has made her unable to trust her instincts when it comes to trusting anyone new, especially men. So she spends her days and most nights in the OSI Dark Ops tech room, where she reigns supreme and can assure that her team stays safe and the fight against human trafficking can be carried on with extreme prejudice.

Boone is a sniper who joined the OSI Dark Ops team when he discovered that Calliope, a longtime member of the O’Halloran company, is his half-sister. When he first met Luna, he was immediately taken with her. But he recognized a women with scars and shields so thick, he would need C-4 to get through.

When he was serving in the US armed forces, he reported and testified against a teammate who was involved in human trafficking, Aaron Udall. When Udall escapes from military prison and threatens Boone before re-starting his human trafficking business in the Middle East the Dark Ops team sets their sights on taking him down.

Amidst the intense action and fast paced story lines that TJ Logan is known for, Luna gradually opens herself to Boone. Sharing her past with him and slowly starts to bring down her shields. Udall targets Boone and Luna, and the focus of the team is to protect those two while taking down the human trafficking ring!

What I loved most about this book was watching Luna open herself to Boone and her growth in sharing her trauma with the team. In the books since we first met her as a selfish, bratty teenager who got herself and her sister involved in a dangerous cult, through her growth to a tech genius who developed and patented breakthrough tracking tech at 19 to becoming a lead tech analyst for Dark OPs she has followed a growth path as a side character that made you want to scream WHEN IS LUNA GETTING HER OWN BOOK! Well, here it is, and it doesn’t disappoint. No more spoilers.

Y’all. I love this story. If you haven’t read any of her books, get them all. Read them all. You will be enthralled. Yes, she is that good. Couldn’t stop reading this one once I started. TJ Logan at her best. Drama, action, love, trust, team. Family. Honor. Loyalty. 15/10 recommend.

A simply wonderful read, great characters and a plot that had me riveted throughout
This story was simply filled from the off with a simply riveting read and I am sure that other readers will simply love reading about the main characters Boone and Luna. Boone has been interested in Luna for a time but as she is still very skittish and around him, she is taking things steady.
Luna explains that she had a bad experience when she had been a teenager and she wants to start a relationship with him but she trusts Boone. An Air Force Buddy from Boone’s past he had reported to the military what he knew about him, this had sent him to prison. Unfortunately, this had not lasted he had escaped and now he is on his way to catch the man that is trafficking young women and girls and is determined to stop this terrible practice.
Luna has not had good feelings about this mission she has had a feeling of doom associated to it and has no idea why, she has not expressed this to him as men about to go out on a mission do not need to be thinking about negative thoughts, dealing with what is actually happening is most important and concentration is essential as it kept men alive when in the field.
I love the warmth and the laughter and the camaraderie and brothership shared between the group, the danger and the excellent writing within its pages made the book and those before it as a simply wonderful read.
I guarantee that other readers will be blown away by this book as I have, from start to finish it was impossible to put down and I guarantee other readers will love this book as much as myself.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.

This is book 5 in the OSI Dark Ops series by TJ Logan. Here we meet Luna Pannikos, tech genius working for OSI. She stays in the background but is the lifeline to the Dark Ops teams when they are in the field with her cutting-edge tech. Boone Langston is a former military OSI operative who has an interest in Luna. After an experience as a teenage human trafficking Luna keeps to herself and is not interested in romantic entanglements.

Boone keeps breaking down her defenses with his charming and protective nature. Luna begins to see him as someone she trusts. An enemy from the past of Boone’s is on a mission to destroy him and plans to use Luna as a pawn in his campaign of vengeance.

This book has all the good feelings. There is a smart, independent female lead and an alpha male with a strong protective streak. Boone and Luna begin to see each other as more than work colleagues. An enemy from Boone’s past is out to destroy them.

There is romance, suspense and action. This book also includes characters from Logan’s previous books in this series and the O’Halleran Security International series. I love books that give you a peak into the lives of previous characters in a series. It is like visiting and catching up with old friends.

I highly recommend this book; it can be read as a standalone. It is much better if you read it as part of the entire OSI Dark Ops Series.

Luna Pannikos had to deal with human trafficking when she was younger. Now she works as a tech expert for OSI Dark Ops.
Boone Langston had been in Afghanistan fighting and now he is working for the OSI. He knows what he is doing is important, but part of him longs to be back at his ranch. When he meets Luna he's impressed with her knowledge as well as her beauty.
He becomes concerned more with a former soldier he was once close to. That man has gone completely rogue and is trying to run a very illegal operation from the Middle East. Will Luna and Boone be able to stop him without casualties or does this enemy have both of them in his sights?
This book is full of heart pounding action and suspense. The author is new to me. I was impressed with her knowledge of military style combat. After reading her bio, it made perfect sense. I can understand why she used initials since most readers don't expect female authors to write about more masculine themes.
Not only is there plenty of suspense, but some very spicy romance is included. Luna is very concerned about getting too close to Boone, but his charm and caring attitude win her over.
Another aspect I really loved was the closeness of the whole OSI team. Sharing get-togethers and horseback rides was part of the special bond they shared.
This book is part of a series which is also a spin-off from another series. Each novel stands on its own and promises a happy ending.

What a great story in the OSI Dark Ops series! This story is about Luna (tech wizard for the team – and little sister to Dana (who married Caleb from the original O’halleran security series) and Boone a newer member to the OSI Dark Ops team.

If you’ve read a lot of TJ Logan’s books, you would remember reading about Luna in Dana’s story. If you haven’t read the prior books, don’t worry, the backstory is included in this book too. Luna is gun shy about dating and men and so she tends to stay behind her computer screen and avoid dating. Boone is the newest member of OSI Dark Ops with a background as a rancher. He was instantly interested in Luna and has worked at slowly courting Luna.

Add in someone from Boone’s past who is looking for revenge and you have a great story that will suck you in and not let you go!

I loved this story and reading more about Luna. I remembered Luna from the prior book with her sister and it was great to see her as an adult – and it was great seeing her as a part of the OSI Dark Ops team. The opening scene is a flashback and that was a little disorienting for me until I realized that, but I have no other complaints. Can’t wait for the next book in the series!

I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book. This is my true and honest opinion.

Dangerous Target is another winner from TJ Logan.

We see Luna, the bratty little sister from Deadly Disciple, all grown up and brilliant tech support for the OSI Dark Ops team. Strong and capable in her professional role, she’s still cautious about her personal life from making some bad choices as a teen when it comes to getting closer to Boone.

Boone, new to the team, is mission-focused - whether that mission is getting the bad guy or getting to know Luna. His love for his parents, care of his animals and passion for his work show Luna his true character.

When a threat from Boone’s past puts Boone’s parents, children, Luna in jeopardy, the Dark Ops team circle the wagons and go to work. The bad guy always gets what he deserves in a TJ Logan book.

Romance, suspense, action, passion, and if you’ve read the OSI series, old friends pop in to say hello. It’s definitely a stand alone, but the added layers from reading the previous books make it that much better.

I highly recommend this book and reading the original OSI and 1-4 of the Dark Ops spin off if you haven’t already.

Thank you, TJ, for another great read!

Wow, what more could you want ? special ops and danger, a cowboy and a gentle romance all wrapped up in an unputdownable story, I was fully invested in this book from the first page.
Romance for Luna Pannikos was a no go, she had been burned and she wasn't going to let it happen again, then why did her heart flutter when she heard the gentle voice of a ruggedly handsome cowboy ?.
Luna was the Tech specialist for O'Halleran Security International (OSI), it was her job to track and advise the team when they were out on a mission as well as making sure that they had the latest technical equipment and that it was all in perfect working order.
Boon Langston was the latest recruit to OSI, Boone had been raised on a huge ranch in Wyoming before joining the army, but he was still a country boy at heart, working for OSI fitted in well with his lifestyle, when he wasn't on missions he could spend time on the ranch that he had bought and ride his beloved horses, it also brought him into contact with the beautiful, brilliant but gentle tech specialist.
There was obviously more than a spark between Luna and Boone but Boone knew that he must take it slowly, he had never felt like this about a woman before and he didn't want to blow it.
When a dangerous prisoner escaped prison, a prisoner who Boon had shared missions with in the army, a prisoner who Boone had put behind bars, Boone knew that all their lives were in danger, the OSI team set out to do what they do best, bring down the human traffickers and release their hostages.
T.J.Logan has created the most wonderful characters, the gentle but powerful Boone who would do anything to gain Luna's trust and protect her, the slightly naïve, plucky, Luna, with the brilliant mind, would she learn to trust Boone, would she learn to accept the danger that each mission would bring, this is truly a page turner and I cant wait for the next book in the series.

Luna and Boone are wonderful characters and their emotional connection is just beautiful. I loved everything about these characters and that this book included two amazing horses.

All of the books in this series are packed with with action, romance and a team that has each other's back at all times. This one stayed true to the series and can be read as a stand alone. However, you get a special experience if you read the series and know the story of the whole team and their unbreakable bond.

Luna is soft and likeable but she has a strong side to her as well and I love how her character development throughout the story. Boone is a rancher and a tough operative AND he loves animals? Sign me up for a guy like that!

TJ Logan consistently delivers fast paced stories that keep you turning pages and also tug at the romantic heartstrings. This is one of my favorites in the series.

Boone and Luna circle their attraction like a perfectly timed ballroom dance—measured, graceful, and full of quiet intensity. I adored their gentle connection and the way their vulnerabilities were handled with care, respect, and admiration. Boone is completely swoon-worthy: an alpha gentleman through and through. Luna is smart, sexy, and softly innocent, and their honesty with each other is both refreshing and deeply endearing.

The team adds warmth with laughter, camaraderie, and an unshakable bond that enriches every page. Danger weaves seamlessly into their everyday lives without overshadowing the romance, and when things turn dicey, the adrenaline hits just right. Watching them earn their happiness makes the payoff incredibly satisfying.

A story packed with action and suspense. Boone has been interested in Luna for a while, but he’s taking it slow because she’s so skittish. Luna had a bad experience as a teenager, leaving her doubtful of her own judgment. Still, she trusts Boone and truly wants to start something with him. Just as they grow closer, an old Air Force buddy from Boone’s past resurfaces. Boone had reported what he knew about the guy to the military, which landed him in prison. Now he’s escaped and is coming after Boone and anyone he cares about. When they discover he’s trafficking young girls, they’re determined to stop him. Luna has a bad feeling about the mission, but she knows everyone will give their all to take him down. Will Boone survive the op? Will Luna live to share a future with him?

(4.5) Fantastic follow up to Dangerous Hunter and to Luna's teenage years. I admire each alpha and their story, but Boone gave this old lady the swoons. Kind, careful, persistent in his wooing of Luna. Their honesty with each other, their care with each other just makes you melt. Combine that with their ops, Luna's intelligence and tenacity and you have a well rounded romantic suspense. I appreciate that their intimacy came after they were building their relationship. Loved the family they make and the actual family. Kudos Luna for paying attention and kicking butt. Thank you for the advanced copy. Luna and Boone were very much a switched on couple who will do anything to protect each other.

When Boone gets split from his team in a mission, he has tech officer Luna who is in his ear finding him

Fast paced and loaded with action. This had all the danger and suspense in needed in this type of book. These two had a special chemistry that was enhanced by the common goals they had. To keep each other safe.

This really was a must read. I'd have been disappointed if I missed it as it had me captivated from start to finish. The dynamic of not just the two of them but the team as well. I'm enjoying this series so much!!

Luna's past has given her no reason to trust men or her judgement about them. When Boone joins the OSI team though she is intrigued and drawn to him. She is the voice in the men's ears that lead them to completion of their ops and Boone is drawn to her like no other. His past is full of treachery and pain. That past, that he thinks is well behind him, comes back to haunt him and his new-found love in Luna. Can they learn to trust each other and live for their HEA? This book is full of action and angst and is a great addition to your TBR pile.
