Knot His Omega

Rate this book
One of the hardest challenges in life is saying goodbye to those we love.

This isn’t the way I imagined returning to Scotland, but when I get the phone call that my ma is sick, I have no choice but to leave Heated. As much as I care for Bree, it’s clear we’re not meant to be.

I don’t expect to meet an omega, who I can’t stop thinking about, mere hours after my ma passes, but here we are. Sadly, it’s not meant to be as Alora already has a pack.

Between Bree’s rejection, my ma’s death, and meeting an omega I want but can’t have, I’m not sure how much longer I can hold it all together.

It has me questioning if I’m ever meant to find my happy ending.

Knot His Omega is a why choose/reverse harem contemporary omegaverse. While part of the Heated series and featuring a previous suitor, this novella can be read as a standalone. This book is intended for readers 18+ due to language and content.

Loved finally being able to read Finnegan's story! He's been such a presence in the Heated series that when May announced he was getting a novella, I was waiting with grabby hands.

May managed to pack so much heartache and grief into this book, but also so much love, heart and happiness at the same time - so well done for such a short story. My heart utterly broke for Finnegan but I loved how the pack he found helped to heal him - and his father, in a way - as time went on.

Whilst being strong on the emotional front, it doesn't hold back on the steam and spice that May is well known for with this series - a perfect little read to tick off all the boxes.

Can't wait for the next treat from this series and this author!

Thank you to the author for the eARC opportunity. These are my honest thoughts that I have provided voluntarily.

Fun read. Really enjoyed getting to know more about Finn and finally reading his story. Ive been a fan of his for several books now so getting to see him get his happy ending was everything.

The beginning of this book was a little bit rough for me bc for some reason every month I get super emotional over stuff I usually wouldn't 😭. The beginning and everything that happened really had me putting the book down and taking a couple of days to pick it back up cause I didnt want to cry.

I loved how Finn never changed. He was still so respectful and amazing. Him and Alora from their first meeting had an instant connection. I loveeee how she knew she wanted him for her pack and did her best to find him. Im a sucker for a man that chases his girl but on the other hand im a bigger fan of a woman knowing what she wants and getting it. Him and her pack got along amazingly. He was the missing piece that they were missing.

Loveeeeeeee how they got together basically bc of his mother. Even though she wasnt physical with them anymore I loved the little things she did when she was there that brought his pack into his life.

Eeeek! I was so excited to read finns story and his happily ever after. He was on the first season of heated and unfortunately had to rush back to Scotland when his dad called him about his mom. His story is short, sweet and spicy. When he meets alora, it was like they both just knew. The way they all connected was adorable and it was a fantastic story!

adorable!

Finn was such a great character in the main Heated series, so I’m thrilled to get his story! It was sweet, spicy, and a little heartbreaking! Be prepared to cry a bit, but you’ll be laughing too!

Knot His Omega by Miranda May offers a heartfelt and steamy detour from the drama of the main Heated reality TV show, focusing on Finnegan's journey to find his true happy ending. This standalone novella, a spinoff from the Heated series, is a sweet and emotionally charged contemporary omegaverse, why choose/reverse harem story perfect for readers looking for a hopeful romance with a touch of fate.
Emotional Depth and a Fated Meeting
The story immediately plunges us into Finnegan's grief. Having left the Heated show and the omega, Bree, to return to Scotland for his sick mother, Finn's world is already fractured. The book excels at capturing the pain of his loss and his sense of hopelessness, making his eventual meeting with the omega Alora incredibly potent.
Finnegan is a character we've already met as a suitor in the first Heated book (Knot My Reality), and seeing him find his own path is immensely satisfying. His feelings of rejection and sorrow are palpable, setting the stage for a connection that feels both fated and desperately needed.

The core conflict of the romance lies in the fact that Alora already has a pack. This twist on the typical reverse harem structure is handled beautifully, moving the plot beyond the initial attraction into a sincere exploration of unconventional family and the ability to expand a pack's love. The inclusion of Finn's mother playing a hand in his path, even after her passing, adds a lovely, almost magical layer of fate and hope to the narrative.
Miranda May weaves a story that is not just about physical connection—of which there is plenty of steam—but also about emotional acceptance, healing, and finding belonging when you least expect it. The dynamic between Finn, Alora, and her existing pack members is compelling and demonstrates that love isn't always bound by simple arithmetic.

For fans of the omegaverse genre and the Heated series, Knot His Omega is a must-read. It provides a satisfying conclusion for a beloved side character and delves into the powerful themes of loss, hope, and the all-encompassing nature of pack love. It’s a fast-paced, highly enjoyable read intended for mature audiences (18+) that delivers both emotion and plenty of heat.

OMG YES.

If you've had the chance to read the Heated series, you have GOT to read this novella!
During book #1, we meet Finn as one of Bree's suitors. He was one of my favorites right from the start. It made me so sad when he had to leave the show -- although I understand why -- so that he can spend time with his mother before she passes.
Getting to see Finn's side absolutely had me in tears. I KNEW what was coming, but I was NOT prepared for it. (Make sure you stock up on tissues, because this piece might break you a little bit!!) Although Miranda got me all up in my feels for the beginning, she certainly made up for it with the rest of the book.
Finn comes across an omega that needs help.
What better to start healing a sad heart than by coming to the rescue of a damsel in distress?
Things certainly picked up fast when that infamous pull comes into play. Only there's a catch: said omega already has a pack. That doesn't mean the end of the story. Not -- at -- all. Because this is the omegaverse ;). The more, the merrier!
I was glued to the page as things start to come together. Not only does Finn feel something for this omega that he didn't with Bree, but the current alpha and beta are open to exploring where this might go. I was eating that up like it was candy!! (Okay, like my favorite Baked chips ^.^)
And WHAT helps bring things together in a more official manner? HEATS!
This might have been a shorter piece, but Miranda kept me locked to my computer for Finn's entire story. I couldn't get enough of it! My heart was already happy by the main Heated series, but getting a story from behind the curtains, for a suitor? Solidified why I love this world so much. You can BET that I'll be getting a paperback copy of Finn's story to join the rest of these amazing books!

FANTASTIC JOB, MIRANDA. You broke me again but gave me one heck of an amazing book with an HEA I love so much.

I look forward to what comes next from you!
(OBVIOUSLY I recommend this piece ;) )

I’m so pleased that Miranda’s decided to tell the stories of a few of the suitors from Heated who weren’t chosen to be a pack in the main seasons, as I loved the series so much.

Finn was one of my favourites from season 1 so I was thrilled to get to see him have his happy ending after having to deal with a devastating loss. I adored that it still felt as though his loved one had a part in his meeting his omega though – that was such a poignant moment for me. It really felt like a little bit of luck and maybe a lot of fate!

Alora and her pack are perfect for Finn, and he seems to be that missing part they’ve been looking for. The omega couldn’t be more suited for him and I adored her character – she’s confident, intelligent and feisty when she wants to be; she’s also not afraid to push back if she’s not happy with something and I loved seeing that strength of will.

“I’m a well-rounded person, Finnegan Abernathy. I have depth and shit. But really, I took multiple psychology classes for electives. I find it interesting to learn about how the mind works and why we do the things we do.” (Alora)

While only a novella, you still get a hint of how the pack’s new dynamic will work, and I really enjoyed seeing where Finn’s place would be in the hierarchy. The book also manages to squeeze in a lot of emotion in just over a hundred pages, so I went on a rollercoaster of emotions fairly quickly – heartbroken for Finn, hopeful and finally super happy for him after he gets the ending he's yearned for.

Finding love in the depths of grief.

Oh, be still my heart! I absolutely adored this book. I’ve always been captivated by Finnegan, and this story did not disappoint. Although I shed a few tears during the initial chapters, I couldn’t resist devouring the rest.

Finn, a contestant on the reality show Heated, was determined to win the heart of omega Bree. However, a sudden phone call changed everything, and he found himself on a plane to Scotland to be with his mother, who was in her final days.

As Finn grappled with the loss of his mother, he encountered an omega in distress in the Scottish hills. He returned her to her pack, and I firmly believe that his mother had orchestrated this meeting. Alora, the omega, was incredibly sweet, and I instantly fell in love with her. Wells, the alpha, was a bit over the top, but he genuinely didn’t know any better. Jordan, the beta, ensured that everyone was well-fed and content. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about their growing camaraderie.

While this story may not have been as steamy as the others in the series, the passion that was present was truly phenomenal. I absolutely loved this book and can’t wait to delve deeper into their lives in A Heated Christmas.

I can't get enough of this series. Heated is so original and beautiful in every way. I've always wondered what happened to some of the people who got sent home. I hope we see more of them. This book is Finn's book. He was on season 1 of Heated but had to leave early because his mom wasn't expected to make it. I really liked Finn, but he wasn't the Alpha for Bree. Turns out, there was an omega waiting for him back home. And that's where Finn's story begins.

I love the idea that maybe Finn's mom put Alona in Finn's path for a reason. Maybe she was looking from the beyond and hoping they crossed paths. Is this how it is? I dont know. Only the author knows the answer to that. But I love to imagine this is what happened.

This was a short book, so there wasn't a ton of spice, but what there was packed a punch. I mean that in the best way possible. This book is worth sticking your teeth into.

Knot His Omega: Finnegan’s Story is part of the Heated series written by Miranda May.

💜 fated mates
💜 heat
💜 omegaverse
💜 family
💜 🌶🌶🌶 spice

Finnegan can’t believe this is happening. If he’s truly honest with himself, he knew deep down he wasn’t fated to be with Bree. But, right now that really doesn’t matter, because right now he’s on a plane back home. He’s ma is sick and he wants to make it before she passes away. Will he make it in time? Will he get to say his goodbyes? Will he ever get another chance at meeting his omega and forming a pack?

This was a fun addition to the series. I loved this novella and all that it brought to the table. Finnegan was a favorite character of mine throughout the series and I’m glad he finally got to tell his tale. This added so much more depth and enjoyment to the Heated Series. I’m glad I read this story.

Finding a pack amongst grief

First off I absolutely love Finn. I'm do glad they kept him in the Heated family. This story it's short and filled with emotions and spice.

Finn rushes home to say goodbye before his mother passes. After she passes Finn finds himself at their favorite place. What he doesn't expect is a beautiful Omega to wonder into the are in tears and unable to find her pack.

I absolutely love how perfectly Alora and her pack fall into Finn's lap. His Ma absolutely had a hand in this meeting and it couldn't have come at a better time.

When everything falls into place you find exactly what you all needed. Even in grief you can find new love.

This book had me crying, laughing and fanning myself. It packed a big punch in a small bite. I absolutely adored seeing how Finn found his pack.

Miranda has once again proven that she can pack a world of emotion into a short gem of a story. By chapter two, I was already tearing up, and by the end I was cheering for the new pack with everything in me, desperate to turn more pages and linger in their world just a little longer.

This book beautifully captures one of the hardest challenges in life: saying goodbye to those we love, while still finding the courage to open our hearts to new beginnings. The grief, the longing, and the quiet moments of hope were written so poignantly that they stayed with me long after I finished reading.

Romantic, heartfelt, and deeply moving, this is a story that reminds us that even in heartbreak, love can still find a way.

We have Finnegan’s story and we meet him in season 1 of heated. I was sad to see him leave in that story but happy to see he has his own book so we can learn what happened to him. The story will have you heartbroken within the first few chapters. But never fear as Miranda May knows how to write a well balanced story. The way he meets Alora is sweet and instantaneously he is drawn to her. The circumstances that had him meeting the rest of her pack adds a complexity that none of them expected. It was sweet to see more of Finn and how he gets to his ending. The story was beautifully written and I loved seeing how it ends. The story may have been shorter but you do not feel as if it was rushed or having you missing on details. Definitely a fantastic read.

We met Finn back in season 1 of heated and he was one of Bree’s suitor and unfortunately had to make a hastily return back to Scotland, later returning as an employee of the show. This is Finn’s story and oh what a story this is.

I absolutely love these stories, and Miranda is such a fantastic writer that each story in this series is individual and stands on it own. Finn is not part of heated story but is a side story of his happy ever. Finn has returned home to say his final goodbyes to his mother and at this stage for him contemplates what life will be like for him, will he ever find his omega, the one that is his everything always and forever. His parents had that love, that connection and it one thing he always hoped he would share with his mother. Through dealing with his own grief Finn encounters a lone omega who is distressed, and he does what he can to help her. There is an instant connection with Alora and Finn is drawn to her, but the one downside is she already has a pack – Wells is the alpha and his brother Jordan the beta. Finn believes that he needs to take a step back as Alora is already packed up but the thing is Alora is looking to add to her pack as they need another alpha during her heats.

Can an already formed pack open up to another alpha? How can Well’s deal with another alpha when it has always just been the three of them? Can this four move forward together.

This is a wonderful short story from Miranda, that has her uniqueness of bringing raw emotion, instant connection, friction and the coming together never is too much. This book shows us that fate is always there in the background pushing us in a certain direction and that through heartbreak and sadness that love shines through.

This book was a new experience for me as I’ve never read a book that was mostly from the MMC’s point of view. I loved Finn in the first book of Heated and I was sad that he didn’t make it until the end. But after reading his story now, I completely get it. Miranda really did him justice.
Even though this was a Heated novella, it had a completely different story that also focused on guilt, on page death of a loved one and dealing with grief. There was a nice surprise in there I didn’t see coming, but I’m glad it was there.
Overall, even though it was a bit shorter, it wasn’t rushed, it had everything it needed to have and as a bonus we got to see Finn happy after experiencing a tragedy.

STARS: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. SPICE: 🌶🌶🌶.5

This story is Finns Story and it was so good. I loved it so much. Finn was on the first season of Heated with Bree. He goes back to Scotland for his mom who isn't doing good and ends of passing away. He goes on a walk and ends up helping an Omega who is lost. Her name is Alora and Finn loves the way she smells. But he finds out she has a pack and doesnt take it further. Alora has other plans and her pack is fine with it. They know she wants to add him as her Alpha for their pack. It was soo good, I loved Jordan and Wells.

Defiantly glad to finally have got Finn's story. He deserved his story to be told.

good read

I was excited to see Finn finally get his HEA. After seeing him in the previous one I was ready for him to get it. I will say I am sad that we didn’t get a bit longer book to read. I did wish it was a little longer, but it was still a sweet story.

The story does have me heartbroken at the beginning but I am so happy he got his HEA. This story was well balanced and I loved meeting the pack and Alora. They were good characters and each brought something different to the pack.

Overall, it was a good story. A little short but still good. I recommend this if you’re looking for something a little shorter and omegaverse.

This book was such a light and easy read. If you’re looking for something short, sweet with a ton of emotions this is definitely the book to read. Fin is an emotional character that makes you feel all his emotions and then some. The way the characters come together is beautifully written and yes it may be insta love but it’s the perfect type of insta love. It’s not forced, it’s natural and makes perfect sense. The scenes are spicy and sweet. The perfect balance between physical and emotional intimacy.

My heart aches for Finn as he leaves the reality show Heated, to fly home to see his mom. Even though both Bre and he knew he wasn't right for her pack, he wonders if he'll ever find his Omega. Finn goes to his special place in the forest to clear his head, ad there he meets Alora, and later her pack. Lots of growling ensues.
Miranda pulled me into Finn's story immediately and I am so glad he gets to tell it to us. She addresses loss, family, connections and new found family. Overall an amazing novella.

Genuinely, this is such an adorable book. It is sad, but honestly, the way sadness and everything else are portrayed is in amazing detail. At certain parts, it did have me crying, but it was because it was so detailed. Honestly, before reading this book, make sure that you read the triggers, but this is only a cute and adorable book. It is a book that is part of another part, so I do suggest that you read the prior story to get a little more background on Finnegan’s story, but other than that, this was an adorable and well-detailed book.

I adore the heated world and this is such a great addition to the series. Obsessed and have re-read several times already. This tells the story of Finn and how he finds his HEA after being called by his dad. When he meets Alora it clicks right away. He is the knight in shining armor for her and comes to the rescue. Who doesn't love that? However the omega already has a pack but luckily it isn't the end at all. The more the merrier it seems. I am so happy I got to read this and seeing another HEA! Need more.

What an incredible journey Finnegan’s (Finn) story is. This Heated world just keeps on being yummy, meant to devour as fast as possible. It’s also as much of a joy to read side characters' stories as it is the main characters'. It’s a thrill to learn more about them and discover their happily ever afters, which is much deserved.
Finn’s story has an amazing cover that fits so perfectly! It was an absolute delight to get to know Finn’s background and story. He has such an amazing pack. He’s become a beloved character in Ms May’s Heated series.

What a wonderful way to jump back into the Heated universe. In this novella we get Finnegan’s story. It is really a fantastic short read that had me openly sobbing at the beginning. There’s definitely insta-love with this book, but it is done so effortlessly that the whole leap from meeting to love is believable and seamless.
I really enjoyed this story and can’t wait to see more novellas from this world.

A SCOTTISH ROMANCE

Related to the Heated Series, this is Finnegan's story, and what a beautifully heartbreaking story it is. Finnegan was a favourite from the first book, Knot My Reality and he became a prominent side character throughout the remainder of the books. Mirand May has written this novella with heart, touching on issues of sorrow but ultimately the joy of finding your true love. I loved the emotions and banter between the characters and the powerhouse that is the Omega.

If you've read the "Heated" series then you'll recognize Finn as the psychologist that works for the series and already love him! He was in the first book/episode with Bree and as we know from that book, his time had to be cut short and obviously didn't end up with her. Now we know why.

This is a sweet book with some deep emotions and of course an HEA. Novellas are hard to get right and Miranda does this one well (I think in part because we already know Finn). Loved it!

Honestly, I love this series so much, and even though this was a short one, and I’m not usually the biggest fan of Insta love… I just really love Finnegan. I love his character and everyone of the books and there was nothing that could happen in this book that was gonna make me give it less than a five stars. Also, the fact that I ugly cried through the first few chapters, I knew I had to give it a five star.

I am so happy we get to see Finn's happy ending. Finn has to leave Heated in n rush after he finds out his mother is sick and he needs to return to Scotland fast. After his mother passed away, he went to the forest to think. Alora got lost and finds Finn, who helped her find her pack mates. Finn and Alora can't stop thinking about each other afterward. Alora and her pack find Finn after the funeral of his mother. They then go on a few dates the days afterward.

Finnegan has been such a constant force in the Heated series and its so good to get the story of how he met his pack. This is a short and sweet wee tale of a man losing his Mum and finding the people that complete him. I loved how the three main bits of his life intersected - Heated, his Mum and his new pack. If you love Heated books and really want to just lose yourself for an hour or so, this is the perfect steamy escape!

Finn was one of the contestants in book one of the Heated series and he was a fan favourite but had to leave before the end to say goodbye to his dying mother. Little did he know, his mother's death would be lead to meeting the omega of his dreams. But Alora is already in a bonded pack with two brothers, Jorden and Wells. However Finn may just be the missing part their pack needed...

I may or may not have sniffled at the start of this, aww poor Finn.  I've always wondered how Finn found his pack, now I know! Excellent read, it might be a novella but it still packs a punch and is a thoroughly enjoyable read. I loved Alora and her energy, plus she definitely knew exactly what she wanted! Finn.
