Faceless Planet

The ship came down with three tubes working and five silent. The silver dart buckled and disappeared into a fetid, purple, alien jungle. A brave ship, ten fine men . . . lost!

The planet was as unfamiliar as the Syrian swamp islands. The survivors had to learn new survival data and learn it fast -- or die!

O'Callaghan was the captain, he believed in fighting -- until he met something he couldn't fight.

Sweeny was a coward. Sweeny ran. But there were things on that ghastly nightmare world that could run faster -- much faster!

It was a long time before they found the derelict. She was badly smashed but they hoped they might be able to salvage something . . . a radio? . . . a televiewer perhaps?

They walked in through a jagged hole in the fuselage. There were things in the wreckage. Donovan recognized the things and went mad trying to find an answer.

Cookson tried working it out. It began to look as though space and time had got out of gear leaving them in a vacuum vortex. The had to answer the impossible direction or spend eternity on the wrong side of Nowhere.
