Tierney never fails to leave me feeling giggly and a touch faint after these stories. Heather was hilarious. The way she had no issue jumping into action to save her men had me giggling. And you her cute and fluffy sidekick had me rolling. I had the best time going on this mission with her. I laughed, I swooned, I enjoyed the spice. These are always fun ventures that leave me completely satisfied in the end.

Heaven, Wraith, and Reaper, names better known to their devotees as Heather, Atlas, and Gio, have all come back to the pages of Reaper and Ruin, alive and in good health, though they are not the same three individuals you left behind last time. They have re-entered their original lives completely unaware of one thing: they'd come so close to a total breakup. The turmoil that almost destroyed their relationship is hidden just outside their field of vision, and they have no idea. The story's first shock hits the reader right from the first page; this twist is entirely unforeseen and immensely rewarding, so that you can't put the book down once you start reading it. Even Heather decides to pursue revenge and sets out to bring the person who killed Missy to justice.

Still, her path is by no means smooth; revenge is never a straightforward course that unfolds perfectly simply because you have identified the right person. The whole narrative develops like a slowly cooked stew, with layer after layer of secrets being revealed in turn, filled with light, teasing banter and openly felt emotions that accumulate, skillfully blending tight suspense with gentle vulnerability in just the right balance to advance the plot stand out most impressive scene in the book is the breathless forest chase: Atlas chases Gio and Heather, in what seems to be a frantic, life-or-death game of cat and mouse. On the surface, it is just a race to get away from one another, though beneath the surface rests a tension and attraction that only the three of them comprehend.

A strong electrical charge runs between Atlas and Gio; each accidental touch of skin and each hidden, secret kiss is charged with electricity, threading their story into a deeply affectionate and passionate m/m romance that is both sincere and tense. Yet, it never takes away from the central, indestructible bond between the two of them and Heather. The connection among all three remains the story's strongest main thread.

For a while, their little world was warm and intimate, so stable that it seemed as though nothing could go wrong, since they spent every day together and it seemed as if no storm from outside could ever get to that small area. However, the tenuous peace they had all found together was suddenly destroyed; the kidnapper who had previously taken Heather reappeared, throwing everything into disarray and causing the stability they had only just established to break apart completely and forever. What followed was even more surprising: this time, Heather was in control. She completely reversed the situation and, instead of waiting to be rescued as she had before, held Atlas and Gio back herself, taking a leading role through her own strength.

This decision pushed the already-building chaos into a wild, uncontrolled state, and the previously tense, confrontational atmosphere suddenly took a crazy, hilarious turn. Heather keeps cheering herself on, telling herself that she is a cold, professional female assassin. Still, this self-encouragement ends up being rather endearing; it's obvious she fumbles through each step, her brain a complete mess and with no idea which way to go next, which provides just the right amount of comic relief during the story's most tense moments. This honest, clumsy nature makes her extremely relatable, and even after you finish reading on the last page, you'll never forget this character who acts tough but is actually soft-hearted.

You'd think that the situation could never get any more out of hand, yet Silver turns up at that moment. Beyond providing backup, he brings in an unexpected person from buried parts of Heather's dusty past, and several individuals who never would have been expected to come together form a makeshift rescue team, all willing to face every difficulty ahead. Although the team comes together at the last minute, each member is willing to risk their life. As Heather and her new allies come together to plan their next step, Atlas and Gio are made to confront the kidnapper who had previously tortured Heather, a man who enjoys carrying out cruel and deadly games, employing electroshock cuffs to cause pain.

Those cuffs are by no means mere toys that he would ever use for fun in his private time; they are weapons capable of actually killing. The rescue operation takes a sharp turn for the worse, and an unexpected new element steps in to make the situation even more complicated. The tension which had been building during the journey finally breaks, resulting in an exciting, satisfying action sequence that lays out all the accumulated conflicts at once.

Despite the intense chaos, none of the novel's female characters has their importance reduced; each gets a turn in the spotlight and makes her own contribution. All of them are fierce, direct, and firmly determined not to give in, and at least one has an icy presence that sends shudders down your spine. It is clear, even from the way she is described only in passing, that she is a person who should not be taken lightly. Even Heather, someone who in the past would have been startled by the sight of blood, shows a certain kind of courage, in that even if you have to close your eyes when confronted by what frightens you, you are still prepared to open your heart and endure everything.

Bravery isn't just about lacking fear; it is just as remarkable to take a stand even when you are shaking with fear. I must admit that Heather's occasional outbursts of teenage rebellion might offend some readers, for when she throws a tantrum, she behaves like a child who hasn't grown up. Still, her constant loyalty and willingness to risk all to protect the two men she loves give her credibility; she is real, flawed, and deeply sincere. You can't help but feel sympathy for her and support her, sharing in the peaks and valleys of her emotions.

To read the entire book is like going on a wild rollercoaster: it speeds up right from the beginning, makes you think that the storms have stopped and you can finally take a breath, only to throw you straight into a disorderly and extremely funny double loop which leaves you stunned yet unable to stop, so frightened you can't even blink for fear of missing one single brilliant moment. Right when you think you're actually going to reach the end of the story and that it's about to come to a close, the last few chapters give a clue that an even bigger battle is still to come and that the problems these three people face are by no means over.

One thing is entirely clear: Heather, Atlas, and Gio are still far from safe and will keep facing the storms that come their way. Although the woods around them are completely black, full of dangers, and the branches trembling in the wind look as if they conceal hidden figures, the story of these three people shines brighter than at any previous time, even against such a dark background, glowing so strongly that you can't look away.

Reaper and Ruin combine suspense, romance, and completely unexpected humour into a full and unforgettable reading experience. When you finish the book, you'll only be desperate to find out what these three will meet next and will never be ready for the story to end.

Okay, so the gang is back—Heather (Heaven), Atlas (Wraith), and Gio (Reaper)—and despite the way the last book ended, they’re all alive and kicking. More surprisingly, they’re completely unaware of what actually happened, which made for a brilliant twist. With Heather’s plans for revenge now firmly focused on the person who actually killed her best friend, Missy, I was a little surprised that there were only vague references to how they intended to achieve that goal. In fact, much of the first half of the book is spent keeping a low profile, indulging in plenty of flirting and, of course, the spice. I absolutely loved the primal play kink, with Atlas chasing Gio and Heather through the forest, as well as the growing bond between the two men. I’m not usually an MM romance reader, but their relationship remains fairly mild, mostly consisting of touching and a few kisses, with both men very much focused on Heather. For a while, everything feels surprisingly and wonderfully domestic. And then Heather’s kidnapper turns up again. Only this time, she takes the men. And that’s when the real fun begins. Because Heather turns out to be just as accomplished at rescuing people as she was at kidnapping Gio. Which means... not much. But honestly, that’s exactly what makes the whole situation even funnier. I loved Heather’s constant pep talks about being a badass and embracing her inner hitwoman when she is quite clearly neither of those things and is completely out of her depth. Thankfully, Heather knows exactly who to call, and Silver is soon on the scene. Better still, she doesn’t come alone, bringing someone Heather never expected to see again. So, naturally, it’s an oddball trio that sets out to rescue Heather’s men. Meanwhile, Atlas and Gio are dealing with a kidnapper who enjoys playing games and let’s just say, judging by the shock collars around their necks, these are definitely not the fun kind. By the time the rescue party finally arrives, what they find can only be described as complete and utter chaos with another player on the scene. Actually, chaos is probably the perfect word to describe much of this book, but you might not even notice because you’ll be too busy laughing. One thing I really loved was that the women in this story are every bit as badass as the men, if not more so. One woman in particular is so completely off her rocker that she genuinely gave me chills. Even Heather, who, as you may remember, can’t stand the sight of blood, proves that sometimes you really can do anything with your eyes shut. There was one thing about Heather that occasionally annoyed me, though. At times, she could act like such a teenage brat. That being said, when it really mattered, she didn’t hesitate to put her life on the line for her two men, and you can’t deny her heart was in the right place. I loved the rollercoaster feeling of this novel. It starts right at the top of the incline, picking up where the previous book left off, before gradually lulling you into a false sense of security... and then suddenly slamming you straight into a double loop of chaos. Although this book ends on a happy-for-now ending, the final three chapters not only tease with the promise of two new storylines but also make one thing abundantly clear: Heather, Atlas, and Gio are definitely not out of the woods. Not by a long shot.

This is me only just realisingI had read these books in the wrong order, I started with Game On and have ended with Reaper and Ruin.
However, it was super good to read this book, explaining how things got to the start of the Game On. A very well written book, Heather is the best, a little ray of sunshine in a dark and grimy world. Atlas and Gio are her perfect matches in this why-chose book. I love the family dynamics, the way each page flows and adds the fun in dysfunctional.
A lot of suspense and WTH just happened moments, Danika being the cause of most of them. Im glad that they all got their odd version of a happy ending for now, and especially grateful that no beautiful puppy dogs got hurt during the story, wth even a promise of one more possibly being added to the dynamic!
All of the characters are great, each given proper backgrounds and potential for further stories.
The cabin the MC's live in is wonderful, quiet and in the middle of nowhere, one of my dream places I would love to live in, although that will only ever be a dream. I suppose living in a council house with a boring life isnt the basis for a good story anyway!
Anyways, back to the story, the open ending being the great segway to Game On, Tierney is such a fun author, and her books are so engaging and hard to put down!

This book was delightful. I've enjoyed the other books in the series, so I was excited to pick this up. It still follows Atlas "Wraith" - the hot, tattooed, semi-refomed Russian hitman, Giovanni "Reaper"- the ex-mafia bossy with a sexy soft side, and Heather "Heaven"- the ex-stripper turned mafiosa girl in training.....they are all back for more.

I enjoy the banter between the characters. The author has taken a lot of care into the world and character-building. Atlas and Gio are so different, but their shared love for both Heaven and in each in this delicious why choose was the chef's kiss. We should all strive to find partners who are as unquestionably devoted as them.

The only beef I have, and it is what kept me from rating it 5 stars, was at how immature Heaven was at times. Thankfully, my feelings were soon put to rest by a well-timed quip or conversation back into adulthood.

The addition and expansion of characters like Danika and Dominic were intriguing. Um excuse me, what is with those implications at the end? Plus I'm excited to see more of where Emilio and the rest of the De Luca's are now headed. I will definitely be continuing on into this amazing world Tierney has created.

Fun, Spicy, and Completely Unhinged!

This one was another fun and completely chaotic adventure with Heather, Reaper, and Wraith. Heather is still somehow managing to get herself into situations that are way over her head, and watching her try to navigate revenge, kidnapping, gangsters, and her two very questionable love interests made for an entertaining read.

I liked the flipped tropes and the fact that this doesn't take itself too seriously. The whole golden-retriever-stalker hacker/hitman hiding behind a ghost mask is still one of the most ridiculous character descriptions I've come across, but somehow it works for this story. 😂 There are plenty of spicy moments, humor, action, and enough craziness to keep things moving.

That said, I didn't love this one quite as much as I expected to. Some of the over-the-top humor and character dynamics worked for me better than others, and there were moments where the story felt a little too chaotic. I still enjoyed the overall storyline and the characters, but it wasn't quite a five-star read for me.

Overall, this is a fun choice if you're looking for a dark rom-com with suspense, spice, found family, forced proximity, and characters who make some seriously questionable decisions. 3 stars from me.

Okay, everyone, buckle up, because your favorite ray of chaotic sunshine is back! Complete her two adoring boyfriends and new cotton candy blue hair, the former stripper turned world’s worst kidnapper, is settling into her life on the run (while going only a little stir-crazy). Unfortunately everything is not rainbows and butterflies for Heather and her boys. Heather is still missing Missy, and Giovanni’s gangster father has also sent an assassin after the trio - someone not unknown to Atlas. Should they be afraid? Maybe a little.

I read Game On before this book, and I probably should have read it AFTER Reaper & Ruin. I got confused about the timeline. So many spoilers. But, honestly, that was 100% my fault. So, I guess this is a PSA. Read the books in the correct order for the best reading experience!

It was just a lot of fun, though. It made me laugh out loud. Heather, Atlas, and Giovanni are absolutely ridiculous most of the time, and I can’t help but love them. The inner dialogue in particular had me giggling into my kindle. Despite the darker moments and stabby heroes, it’s a feel good story. If you like the dark romance, but need something on the lighter side, I highly recommend this dark romcom series.

This was the 9th book in the Gangsters Paradise series and it was an entertaining dark romance with plenty of suspense, emotional tension, and chemistry. I enjoyed the darker atmosphere and the complicated dynamic between the main characters as they navigated all the danger and challenges surrounding them. Their chemistry was strong, and I liked watching their relationship develop through all the twists and emotional moments. The story kept a good pace, and the spice definitely brought some heat without overshadowing the romance. A few parts felt a little rushed, and I would have liked more depth in certain areas, especially with the character development, but overall this was an enjoyable read that kept me invested and turning pages.

Book 2 of this trilogy by Tierney Storer

This book starts where book 1 left off, our heroine Heather (Heaven) killer, hit woman and Stripper extraordinaire has been kidnapped, she is sure her boys Gio (Mafia boss and owner of the strip club Heaven danced at) and Atlas (killer, merc, stalker, kidnapper....read book 1) will save her.

There is a lot goes on in this book, with a lot of familiar names cropping up again and again. Especially Gio's massive family (not sure his parents had a TV).

There is humor mixed in with the darkness and a trio that are hopelessly in love with each other.

Be warned there are dark topics, death, arson and kidnapping to name a few, so be aware of this before you read.

I love these books, this one does have a little bit of male/male but its sweet and not at all in your face for people who aren't big fans of that.

All in all very good read. Keeps you hooked.

The development of this book is fantastic!
I loved learning more about Gio and Atlas. Specifically with their past. I liked watching their relationship grow. Their personal development stays about the same as in book 1 but Heather’s really picks up. She’s still the same person overall but she tries really hard to do better. There are also characters introduced into this book that I definitely want to check out and see if they have their own story/learn more about.
The first book is very much romance based but in this one the plot really picks up. The book continues right where book one left off. A ton happens that is both serious and unserious at the same time. It’s great. I really love the balance that happens. The pacing is great too!

I had to run and read this after finishing the first in the set of Heavens books. It didn’t disappoint! Not going to lie I thought the mystery woman was Silver at first which broke my heart than she started saying more things and I figured it out. While i was supposed to hate her gosh I loved her so much she oddly reminds me of a harder version of Heaven. Totally going to devour Emilo’s books now!!!

Even though we get a conclusion it’s not the final one so looking forward to more of their story and that ending…I was wondering if he would show back up again…maybe Silver can handle him this time lol and more Rowan!

I absolutely love Heaven's character. She feels like how my mind works and it's refreshing to read a character that way: she's funny, sometimes off topic, but she's loyal and very determined to get what she wants. Atlas' and Gio's dynamic in the story is great and wish I'd read more of it: while I do love how Heaven's their center, I am also curious how the two men relationship will grow too. The revenge was executed well and really like how it address how it affects the characters afterwards.

This was once again absolutely hilarious and such a fun time. I was laughing out loud from the sheer absurdity and ridiculousness.

Heaven, Reaper, and Wraith are a riot and so hot together. Their dynamic is just so entertaining, a little chaotic, and dysfunctional in the best of ways. The action keeps the pacing quick and easy to read.

Overall, it is a fun light-hearted dark rom-com full of laughs and heat.

I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

Im absolutely loving this series so far. Giovanni and Atlas are the best book boyfriends. You get a different side with each. Gold retriever energy alongside touch her and die energy. The story starts off with the trio living carefree whilst danger lurked in the corners. Happiness becomes terror. Terror reveals secrets and unearths more lies. Can't wait to see what comes next!

Just like the first book this was highly entertaining. I love the banter between the main characters and Heather has so many sassy moments. You also get to see more of the relationship dynamic between Gio and Atlas which was just so much fun for me. There’s some spicy scenes as well if that’s your vibe.

Loved the characters, twists and turns, funny and witty, a bit chaotic, very unique and interesting story. Excellent read, thoroughly enjoyable.

Another fast pace fun story filled with hijinks and hilarity! I loved it so much read it in one afternoon . The sarcasm is brilliant and I love these misfits! Can’t wait for the next one!

Atlas, Heather and Gio. Loved these characters. Some spice, some humour and some kills all thrown in there. Great book, will be reading more.

This story is fun, a little dark and has a lot of character. The main characters meshed well together. It’s a wonderful mix of humor and spice. Overall a really good story that I’d recommend.
