I liked the idea of the story, but I couldn't quite connect with it or feel what I was supposed to be feeling when reading. For the majority of the book, I was pretty bored and was loosely listening to the story towards the ending. I did feel like some parts of the book did drag on, but since it kept my attention (and it was so short), I couldn't help but give it 3 stars for being an ok read.

introduces readers to Debbie, an influencer consumed by dissatisfaction and envy. She fixates on influencers who garner more likes and comments and is convinced that her beauty and sex appeal should entitle her to a lavish, enviable lifestyle. This mindset propels her to accept an all-expenses-paid trip to a luxury resort, a decision that changes her life.
The story unfolds in third-person narration, primarily from Debbie’s perspective.
I read this novel because I enjoyed Rosi’s Courier, but All Expenses Paid was not for me. I found Debbie unlikable and the author’s storytelling style less engaging than I had expected.
While the book delivers an important message about the influence of social media and the dark side of influencer culture (particularly the consequences of chasing wealth and status at any cost), Debbie’s choices leading up to and during her stay at the resort, as well as at the isolated mansion, felt unrealistic and somewhat ludicrous. With that said, the aftermath of her trip and its repercussions add some depth to the story.
The story concluded at a pivotal moment. Debbie’s final choice remained ambiguous, adding to the uncertainty. However, her hesitation and train of thought only deepened my dislike for her character.

On point novella about 2 influencers, Debbie and Amelia, and what they will do individually and jointly to be even more influential and get the lifestyle they so want/‘deserve’
But how far will they go and what will they deem too much as they are whisked off to a 5 star hotel by the mysterious Yusef…and then asked if they want to go to a desert resort where money can be made….in various ways
Edgy realistic well researched book,telling as we have come to expect from this author, a fascinating story,chilling and relevant

This psych thriller hooked me from the beginning.
I loved the comedic nod about influencers, and basically how they smile fake smiles into the camera, but don't really enjoy life. Smile, snap a pic. Dinner w/ a friend? Smile and snap a few pics. Even if the food is bad and the friendship isn't even that 'real'. It looks real on the camera, and when that's how you make your money and get paid to endorse products, isn't that all that really matters?
So anyway, influencer gets invited to a free vacay to promote some luxurious hotel. All expenses paid. and things just go bad from there... I wish we (as the reader) had gotten more details of the bad things, but that's just me. I don't mind a little gore. also, I loved the author note at the end and what inspired the story. I'll do more research into that myself

This was my third book so far this year by Rosi and I'm quite enjoying myself.
All expenses paid did a phenomenal job highlighting a darker side to Influencer culture. It's no secret that most of us are present on social media but how often are we our true authentic selves. There is a fine line between social media performance/presences and reality.
There are some heavy topics in this title including human trafficking and there are parts where the moral compass definitely becomes skewed. This isn't a story for the faint of heart.
I received a copy in exchange for my honest review.

A free, luxurious holiday abroad? Sounds amazing… but also a little too good to be true. For Debbie, though, it’s the perfect opportunity to grow her follower count.
After receiving an offer she can’t refuse, Debbie invites her friend (and fellow influencer) Amelia to join her on a dream holiday… all expenses paid!
But things quickly take a turn when they find themselves in an isolated mansion in the middle of the desert, in a very uncomfortable situation.
So let’s just say… things escalate fast, and money takes over the narrative.
I might be biased, but influencer horror is one of my favourite tropes and this book did not disappoint. It’s dark, violent, absolutely unhinged, and completely hooked me in.
As if influencer culture isn’t mind boggling enough, the decisions people make and what they’re willing to do for numbers is just wild.
For me Zoe’s writing is really easy to read and captivating. I’ll definitely be checking out Courier next.

This little novella packs quite a punch for less than 200 pages. It was definitely a fantastic exploration of how addicting social media can be, how it can impact a person's self-esteem, and how easily one can be lured into compromising situations. I also liked the pop culture references to the absolute insanity of everything happening around the P Diddy and Epstein cases, how people will do anything for wealth, and that the wealthy can do anything because they have so much money. It is extremely relevant to events happening around the world today, as we see how money can even lead to control of an entire government, without any repercussions. And for being so short, it was actually quite an impactful character study about why someone might be drawn into such situations, and why they can't easily get out, if they even wanted to.
I would have loved to see this be a little bit longer, because it would be fascinating to see more of the inner workings of this luxury hotel, and more into the lives of the men who frequent it. It has me wondering just how many influential men with power have connections to this dark world, much like what we are learning from the real-world events that inspired this novella.
Overall, this was an insightful, quick little dark read that I really enjoyed!

I love a book about influencers or reality shows or any kind of junk food media, particularly when they’re taken to levels of absurdity. All Expenses Paid follows two influencers who are offered a free luxury trip to a Middle Eastern hotel, but have to quickly figure out how much their dignity is worth. It’s Dubai yacht girls meets a very tame Saw.
While the concept was there, the novella itself followed an awkward stream of consciousness narrative with brief, random POVs sprinkled throughout. Everything was told to the audience with little shown to build suspense or scenery. There was so much trying to be crammed into such a short book that neither the characters, the action, nor the scenery worked for me. I would have loved to see this story fleshed out and cranked to 100.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. I literally couldn’t put this book down! I had an idea from the start what this would be about, just from things I have heard, but the book was so good! It should be read by anyone wanting to be an “influencer” so they can be cautious. The author had a great way of making me feel all of the emotions the characters were feeling in this book, it did get deep at times. I will definitely be reading more from the author.

This book was a roller coaster from start to finish. I feel like it was a really great commentary on influencer culture and how far someone could go when they feel desperate for external validation, desperate for money, desperate for safety. I enjoyed this. I’d recommend this if you’re a fan of the Hostel movies, or very, very dark fiction. It’s definitely not for the faint of heart.

This felt extremely Epstein-adjacent mixed with influencer culture, elite privilege, and “the rich think they’re untouchable” energy. There were also very obvious P. Diddy/freak-off style vibes throughout the story that made parts of this genuinely uncomfortable to listen to — not because it was poorly written, but because it felt believable.
The first 40-45% was honestly a little difficult for me to follow. There are a lot of moving pieces and characters, and I wasn’t fully sure where it was heading at first. But once everything clicked into place? The pacing picked up FAST and suddenly all the earlier confusion started making sense.
This is NOT a romance and there’s basically no spice, but the emotional weight still hit hard because underneath all the darkness was this really sad commentary about fame, power, manipulation, and the things people will normalize when money and status are involved. The friendship fallout honestly upset me more than anything else because I didn’t expect things to unravel the way they did.
The narration fit the tone of the story really well and helped keep the tension building once things escalated.
This is one of those books that feels weird to call “good” because the subject matter is so disturbing — but it was well written, memorable, and tackled themes that unfortunately feel very relevant in real life.
Who should read/listen: If you like dark thrillers centered around influencer culture, elite social circles, psychological manipulation, and real-world inspired horror, this would probably work for you. Just seriously check trigger warnings first.

Yiiikes. Dark themes and troubling content ahead as the author was inspired to write this story after hearing about influencers being paid to take part in troubling parties abroad. And guess what? She nailed it. A very unsettling read, taking the steep turn into debauchery in the second half of the book. I’m intrigued and will definitely checkout her previous work.
All Expenses Paid starts off detailing the intricacies of the irl friendships between influencers and you can’t help but roll your eyes at the obsession of it all. Once the FMC is invited on an all expenses paid trip we quickly pivot to the not-so-great parts of this culture and see these disgusting rich men who’ve shopped online for the perfect influencer girls to damage. Seeing just how much they’re willing to do and humiliate themselves for money. $30k to act like a dog? be pelted by rocks? It’s a quarterly dinner of fun & games for the men, but so much worse for the women. They are always asked if they consent to the “dare” before it’s done and can say no, but can they really when there are armed guards surrounding them?
It details the exploitation of desperate people vying for a better life. It reminded me of aspects of Squid Games, The Menu and the horrific real life horrors of the ultra-wealthy paying to see humans suffer. Seeing how far you’d be willing to go for money. It’s left me uncomfortable just like a good twisted novella should. If you’re wanting a quick read that leans horror and explores the dark side of influencer culture I suggest grabbing this one!

Highly recommend. I received an Early Audiobook of this title from #NetGalley and loved every second of it. The narration and narrator were perfect I listed on 1.25 speed and 3.00 speed and followed along wonderfully! This is a very suspenseful thriller that I enjoyed listening to from start to finish! Quick listen also which is a plus and I finished in no time at all.

This book hurled me through multiple emotions, from sadness to grief to furiosity. Knowing this happens in the real world is a devastating thought and it breaks my heart. 💔
The author did an amazing job by describing the way the girls felt during and afterwards the events and how the evildoers feel and act. It felt terrifyingly real! Well done Zoe!! 👌🏼The only thing I couldn’t wholeheartedly connect with was the reason why Debbie participated in all of this. She did have a choice imo. But on the other hand if she chose otherwise there wouldn’t have been this gripping, thought provoking, kick ass thriller!! Because oooh this was a freakin’ rollercoaster in every way. 🔥🖤🤘🏼I loved it and I would def recommend it to people who like this genre. This is a story which will linger in your head for a long time after reading.

I love how Zoe captures darkness. This covers exploitation, abuse and all things twisted in a delusional world of weird games played by those (men) who like to control and abuse those weaker than themselves by offering huge sums of money to do degrading things. But are the girls really the weak ones? Like Debbie, it was the appeal of money that made her agree to such things, but lost herself on the way. Being damaged already, and then some more - is really a price worth winning ?

This was an interesting read with a dark twist surrounding influencers. However, the dialogue for the first half was really awkward? It felt more like a YA book, which wasn't really suitable for something of this tone. There wasn't much happening either until the dark twist. I understand the idea behind dark influencer esque hotels and such. It's closer to reality - sextortion and degradation. Not my favorite read.

I really enjoyed this! It's a quick and easy read that's unique and well written. I was immersed in the story and couldn't put it down. If you're looking for a fast paced quick read, I would recommend this! Some people really know how to write gritty, dark thrillers, and Zoe Rosi is 100% one of them!
It's not a read or listen for the faint-hearted, I have to say.
All Expenses Paid takes a very extreme look at social media and the lives of some influencers.
Debbie is one of those influencers, pootling along with a decent follower count and an obsession with her likes and comment numbers, constantly comparing herself to others, including one of her good friends, Amelia.
An invitation for what looks like a gorgeous holiday in a distant, exotic location, with the opportunity for lots of content, and a chance to earn some good money, is too much for her to say no to, so she, along with Amelia, heads off to what she discovers is the much darker, more gruesome side of influencing and big money.
I found myself inwardly flinching as I listened to the story, and it really made me wonder... is there really stuff like this behind the content of some 'influencers', or is it just a very dark exaggeration for fiction's sake? Either way, it was disturbing but, in a weird way, interesting.
Hats off to the author and the narrator, who kept me listening!

this book was so wild it made me think in french. wow. i mean...if you're gonna do it, you may as well do it. An unhappy 5 stars to this deeply disturbing book reminiscent of Hostel. Thank you Xpresso Audi0books for the ALC.
If you want the Hostel of today's age, this is IT. I am sick to my stomach. How do I even write this review???? Debbie wants to be a well known influencer and will do anything to get there. I don't know what else to say other than this is the 2026 Hostel in book form, and if you loved that movie like I did, then you will love this book. The audio narration was also great. From about 55% in, I could NOT put this down. Damn.

This story touches on the exploitation of young girls, a topic that hit close to home and that heavier element gave the story an extra layer of impact beyond the thriller aspects. Dark, unsettling, and uncomfortably relevant.
As an audiobook listener, I also really enjoyed the narrator, which made this quick listen even more immersive.

This is my first book from Zoe Rosi and I was thoroughly entranced in this quick read. I can say this story is like no other story I have read before. If you like a story about influencers and what their lives entail, then this is for you. If you don’t like influencers, this could be for you too. There are quite a few twists that I did not expect. The story starts one way and then changes drastically in ways that made me gasp out loud. I did not see that ending coming!

This novella drops you straight into a sun bleached nightmare, luxury on the surface, absolute dread underneath. It has that glossy influencer trip vibe that curdles fast, and the shift from “dream vacation” to “you’re not getting out of this alive” hit exactly the way I wanted.
I love the way Zoe Rosi writes these sharp, vicious little stories. This is my third book from them, and the pacing is always tight: no filler, no downtime, just a steady slide into danger. The whole setup gave me major Hostel energy, but filtered through modern content creator culture, which somehow makes it even more unsettling.
If I’m nitpicking, I wanted a little more depth between the two girls before everything went sideways. But that's also the reality of a novella. There's only so much room before the story has to start breaking things.
Overall, this was quick, brutal, and easy to inhale in one sitting. Zoe Rosi continues to be reliably unhinged in the best way.

Don’t let the cover fool you, this isn’t a story of influencers living their best life. It’s a dark and twisted story that feels so real. The beginning shows you the very vain and fake side of influencers and then it dives deeper into the shady waters of just how much people will do for money and likes. If you told me this was 100% real I would believe it. I actually think I’ve heard of a similar situation happening, and knowing that stressed me out while reading.
I think this was extremely well written and that’s why it bothered me so much. So, well done lol.

I have mixed feelings about this book; I finished it in one go because it kept my attention, but the dark game premise felt underdeveloped, and the main character was flat and unlikable.
Unfortunately overall, it was just an okay read.
