As the father of a daughter who went through sorority recruitment, I can honestly say I wish The Rush Bible had been available when our family was going through the process.
Recruitment can be stressful for any family, but our daughter's experience took place during COVID, when everything seemed uncertain and constantly changing. My wife and I wanted to support her, but we didn't really know what to expect or how to help.
Fortunately, we found Trisha Addicks and signed our daughter up for her recruitment coaching service. Looking back, it was one of the best decisions we made. Trisha's guidance gave our daughter confidence, but just as importantly, it gave us peace of mind. Knowing she was getting advice from someone with so much experience made an overwhelming process feel much more manageable.
I'll also admit something else—I was probably the stereotypical overprotective, over-involved father. I wanted to fix everything, asked way too many questions, and was probably making the situation more stressful than it needed to be. Trisha never made me feel that way, though. She always took the time to answer my questions, calmly reassure me, and remind me to trust both the process and my daughter. Looking back, I think she was coaching me almost as much as she was coaching my daughter!
There were days when our daughter called home discouraged after hearing rumors or comparing herself to what other girls were saying. Like any parent, it was hard to hear. Trisha always seemed to know exactly how to encourage her, help her tune out the noise, and keep her focused on what really mattered. That guidance made an incredible difference for our entire family.
I'm convinced Trisha helped our daughter present the very best version of herself throughout the process. That confidence and preparation made all the difference.
Reading The Rush Bible, it's obvious this book is the result of years of experience helping young women and their families navigate recruitment. It's practical, encouraging, easy to follow, and full of insights that most families simply wouldn't know on their own.
Take it from an overprotective father—if your daughter is getting ready for sorority recruitment, this book is worth every penny. I only wish we'd had it when our daughter was going through rush. It would have answered so many questions, relieved a lot of stress, and probably saved Trisha from having to talk me off the ledge a few times! I highly recommend it to any family preparing for recruitment, no matter what college your daughter is attending.

Thank God for this book! I wasn’t in a sorority…track was basically my sorority in college! 😂 So I truly had no clue how any of this worked. With my daughter going to an SEC school, where rush is a very serious thing, I knew I needed to educate myself so I could help guide and support her through the process.
She may not have read the book, but I did! 😂 And now I feel like I have answers when questions come up and a much better understanding of the entire process.
This book also completely changed my perception of what a sorority really is and what it means to be part of one. I definitely had the wrong impression based on how sororities are portrayed in movies and TV shows! After learning what they’re truly about…the sisterhood, philanthropy, support, connections, and sense of community…it honestly makes me wish I had joined one in college too! 💕
