This book wasn't for me. It was boring.

we started strong with her brother being dead and kaz being her ward.

But then it kind of lost me.

She was having trust issues that he can be the person who killed her brother.

But she didn't have any problem having sex with him......

Then apparently for some reason started trusting him .

got kidnapped . he rescues her .


blah blah blah.

400 pages long.

also too much smut.

It also includes slight bdsm.

It was more of a thriller . Too many things going on.

If anyone wants to try mafia romance with mystery, obsession, slight stalking, kidnapping ( not by mmc ) and predictable plots give this a try.

Kazimir Dmitriyev is a handsome billionaire mafia boss of the Dmitriyev Bratva crime family. Marissa is partially deaf in one ear and as had a lot of struggle as a child. Kazimir was at his casino what he received an an urgent call from his old friend Charlie saying that he was shot by a rival Bratva and needed his help and was in the hospital.
He dropped everything and rushed to his friend. However, when he got there Charlie was injured bad and was dying and asked him to do him a favor and protect his sister because he was the only one who could trust to do the. Marissa was at a show and just finished her performance when she received the call and hurried to the hospital just before he died and he told her that she could trust Kazimir. But Marissa wasn't so sure who she could trust and wondered if Kazimir had something to do with her brother's shooting since he was by his bed side when she got there.
Kazimir was shocked when she walked into the room. He couldn't believe the coincidence of their paths crossing in this particular manor and that the woman who he had been stalking was his friend little sister. This morning she was just his obsession. But tonight she's going to his. Until a shared enemy left him with no choice. Charlie was put in that predicament with no fault of his own, but because of his dad and the bad deal that he had made with Bratva leader Vladamir Popov when borrowed money from him but he also sold his daughter Marissa in the deal to Vladimir for an arranged marriage for his son Rurik unbeknowing to Charlie or Marissa. Marissa was devastated with grief about losing her last living relative and doesn't know who to trust even though Charlie told her that Kazimir was trustworthy.
And to make matters worse she found out that he was one person stalker her and leaving expensive gifts making it even harder for to trust him. Their relationship started tumultuously but changed after a while and they burn up the pages and sheets with passion. Their chemistry was electrifying, erotic, and steamy. With Charlie's death Kazimir and Marissa inherited the casino. But Marissa life is still in danger because Vladamir will stop at nothing to get her in order to cash in on the debt. Victor Kierkov was the one who murdered Charlie and he's task with killing Kazimir and then kidnap Marissa and bring her to him. The Popov Bratva and the Dmitriyev Bratva are rivals. Therefore, with Popov involvement in the casino is definitely going to pose a threat for the family and when Popov send his men to kidnap her Kazimir had to call his brothers for help to get back his woman and take care of the Popov Bratva once and for all avenging his friend death and let paid for touching what he deems as his. These two fought hard for their HEA.

“Claim Me” is the second book in the “Dmitriyev Bratva Series.” Kazimir Dmitriyev is the younger brother of Mikhail Dmitriyev, Pakhan of the Dmitriyev Bratva. This can be read as a standalone, but personally, I would read “Hunt Me” first. Marissa is a very talented pianist virtuoso, and unknown to Kazimir, his childhood friend Charlie’s sister. Out of the blue, Kaz receives a phone call from him asking for help. “I’m in the hospital. Someone shot me and you’re the only person I can trust. I need to see you as soon as possible.”

What has he got himself involved with….whom has he got himself with? Either way, they will pay….no one touches friends or family! “Whoever had attacked him would pay a hefty price.” He is dying and his one request to Kaz is for him to protect his baby sister Marissa. Just as she arrives, Charlie flatlines….she remembers his warning to her…“Do not trust anyone and I mean anyone. We need to talk when you return from LA.”

Standing in front of him is his stunning virtuous, “The only woman who’d sparked my interest in years, a voluptuous blonde with eyes the color of the purest emerald.” She was stunning and he had been mesmerised the whole entire time he sat in the audience. Now she had no one except the person standing in front of her, a man she didn’t know. Somehow Charlie had gotten himself with Vladimir Popov, of the Russian Bratva out of Seattle. His father had done extensive renovations to the fifties casino, costing millions, with the possibility that Marissa was the collateral! It is up to him to find out what is going on and ultimately, protect her. In the meantime, who will protect his heart….

Prepare for a story full of twists, turns around every corner, loyalty and betrayal, power and control and sizzling heat. This is a story you won't be able to put down - you will be totally hooked! The story is very fast paced and full of twists and turns! You have danger, betrayal, love, tears, death, power, action and passion.

As per standard for Piper’s Mafia Romance stories, it is dark in places, violent at times, passionate in places, full of secrets, loyalties tested and let’s not forget the heat between Kazimir and Marissa. The chemistry between them is off the page! A thoroughly enjoyable read from page to page, one chapter to the next - at times you are metaphorical “on the edge of your chair” wondering what will happen next. Overall, I would highly recommend this book and you will not be disappointed 😊

Kazimir contacted by Charlie on his death bed, requesting him to protect his sister Marissa
Kazzimir had rushed to the hospital so that he was able to speak with Charlie who was quite literally on his death bed after being shot several times in the chest and this had damaged his heart and he was still bleeding out.
Imagine how Marissa felt when she rushed to the hospital, she had been told of the shooting when she had finished her last concert and had travelled by plane trying to reach her brother, her last family member who she loved dearly.
All those years ago when Charlie had been at Kazzimir’s parents’ home where he had been sent by his parents to learn a lesson and some responsibility and this had made them brothers and family for life and he had known he could be trusted to help care for his sister.
Kazzimir could not believe that his “Perfect Virtuoso” was the pianist he had been following even gifting her flowers and jewellery and now that he met her, he realised that she had lost everyone she loved in the last year and a half . When Kazimir had reviewed the evidence left by Charlie it was apparent that Vladamir Popov was involved in this and now wanted to acquire Marissa as interest payment on the outstanding debt.
The relationship between the two has been simply electrifying and he has not felt as drawn to a woman since the loss of his first love, as time passes as his family get to know this talented pianist who is deaf and yet plays like an angel and has also started writing her own music again since finding her muse in Kazzimir.
I guarantee that readers will be totally captivated by this book and I will not spoil the outcome for other readers. I do assure though that you will be kept on the edge of you seat until you discover the final outcome of this story, and left looking forward to future publications by this wonderful author.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.

When a friend from the past calls Kazimir for help, he rushes over. But Charlie isn’t going to survive. He needs Kaz to protect his sister, Marissa the pianist. She happens to also be the woman that he has an interest in. Marissa has a stalker. She doesn’t know who he is. The call from her brother telling her to come home, she races back. Finding a tall, hot, sexy Russian is in the room with her brother stops her in her tracks. Being told to trust no one, makes things that much harder.

I love that Kaz has such patience with her. Granted he really is interested in her. A past relationship is clouding things for him. We also find out that Charlie’s father made a deal with Popov. I had a feeling about an issue with Marissa but she has learned to adapt. In the beginning, these two are at odds but the chemistry and the sexual tension is hot. With a stalker and even a deal, we call in reinforcements. And I have to say, YEAH!. I love reading about our Pakhan comes to his aid as well as other family members. The romantic nature from Kaz is refreshing. It shows he has a heart even though he says otherwise. And Marissa is a fighter and grieving her loss. She finds strength and a future with Kaz. Who is next to find love and fight for it?.

When Kazimir gets a call from Charlie, an old friend, he discovers that he is dying and wants Kazimir to protect his sister, Marissa, from a ruthless Russian Bratva boss who claims that she is his. When Kazimir sees her he realizes that she is the piano virtuoso he has been stalking and wants to claim. As Marissa tries to cope with the loss of her brother, she realizes she has to be strong to deal with not just those who will destroy her life, but the man whose intensity draws her in and gives her what she needs, but his past may be a hindrance to any future. As Marissa deals with her grief and her attraction to Kazimir, outside forces and internal betrayal threaten her future and her life. The intensity between these two is so strong and I love how Marissa was able to use that grief and her attraction in her music and the way that she played. As well as being steamy, and full of suspense, the emotions felt by both Kazimir and Marissa literally grabs you and draws you in so you can feel it with them. Seeing Marissa get stronger as the reality of what has happened and is going on sinks in, was good to see, especially when she stood up to Kazimir. Loved this story and really looking forward to the next one in this series.

His Virtuoso!

Marissa was a semi deaf piano player was so good,she played all over the world.Kazmiur enjoyed listening to her and would go to her concerts,send her red roses and very expensive jewelry he didn't realize who's sister she was until he got a call from a old buddy name's Charlie asking for help and to take care of his sister,she was all he had left.Marissa is a very strong independent young woman,Kizmiur is a strong ,pigheaded Russian, he is there for his friend and his sister but now she is all by her self and in danger.They both find out that her father when he was alive got a loan for the families business and they are there to collect but they also want Marissa too.Kazmiur and his family do everything to protect Marissa but she still get taken ,after her last concert.Kazmuir and his brothers find out who is on the take in the hotel ,behind the scenes at the concert,at the police department. This story does have a happy ending,but they also find what happen to her parents,but the criminals are put together or off the street.This story is thrilling,yes it has voilice but story is very interesting!

You’ll be hard pressed to not fall in love with Kaz and Marissa!
I love the inkling of an obsession by Kaz for his piano virtuoso though he doesn’t overstep any bounds. Then there’s his dropping everything to go above and beyond to help an old friend that seals the deal for Kaz being way more than just a Russian mafia boss. I feel for Marissa after all she overcomes in life with her hearing to get her piano solo and feel like she made it, to only be given the horrible news of her brother’s shooting. Then arriving at her brother’s hospital on his deathbed, and doesn’t know who to trust despite her brother’s insistence to trust Kaz. To Kaz, it’s fate that bought Marissa in to his world as he is the only one to keep her safe after her father’s bad loan decision. How the two work together and heat up the sheets, you will not be able to stop turning the pages as the danger unfolds. Best quote ever in a romance story - “Have you ever met someone you knew you were destined to remember for the rest of your life?”

Kazimir has become obsessed with pianist with the symphony ever since her first heard her play. When he gets a call from a friend asking him to come, he is bad shape. Charlie is on his deathbed, being shot several times and they cannot repair all the damage. He asks him to look after his sister, what his father got messed in, is coming for her. He never expect the sister would be the same woman he has obsessed over, Marissa.

Marissa is not sure she can trust Kazimir but there is something about him the catches her interest. This man is determined to keep her under lock and key. She wavers from trusting him to not trusting him as events unfold throughout the book. This not for the faint of heart, there is plenty of violence and intense scenes between the main characters and spankings. I love how she evolves thru the story.

The Russians are coming; the Russians are coming!

Marissa is an accomplished pianist who has drawn the heart of Kasmir. He finds her music entrancing. She is partially deaf and she may slowly lose what hearing she has. Kasmir is a wealthy semi retires Bratva member. He has shed is past and is mostly a legitimate businessman in Las Vegas. Marissa’s brother is killed trying to amend a mistake his father made to save Marissa. Marissa has been marked by the competition as a fix for her father’s poor judgement. They think she will be Povpov’s bride. Over Kasmir’s dead body. Kasmir has is work cut out for him, Marissa ‘s not going quietly. Piper has added a twist with Marissa’s hear issues. I applaud her. This book has simulating discipline and hot and heavy rewards. Please read the trigger warnings prior to purchasing.

Marissa is an accomplished professional pianist who attracts the attention of Kazimir Dmitriyev when he hears her play. He starts sending her roses and gifts.
The meet when he is called to the beside of his friend Charlie who is Marissa's brother. Charlie has been shot; he succumbs to his injuries but has time to tell Kazimir to take care of his sister and about all his suspicions about the death of his parents and his shooting.
The heat between Kazimir and Marissa is off the charts. They are both stubborn but eventually succumb to their desires. Their relationship is threatened by Popov's and his son threats.
This story has a wonderfully complex plot, with multiple twists and surprises.
There is a spectacular ending with a HEA ending.
This story will set your Kindle on fire!!.

The last thing he expects is to be interested with his friends sister a woman he has been secretly obsessed with. Losing the last of her family she fights. She doesn’t trust anyone and doesn’t want to hide away, no choice. They have a very steamy chemistry and our continuously drawn together. Parts of him back to life that he thought were gone forever. He is the muse to creativity that she never expected. Together they are electric, spicy and intense. The author always writes a good mafia story with a lot of detail in that secondary arc. Always a happily ever after.

This is book 2 in the Dmitriyev Bratva series and can be read as a standalone though I highly recommend book 1.

The spice, the plot, and the characters are always on point with a Piper Stone novel. I just know I'll love it if she writes it and this book was no different. As always I devoured the pages.

This book is full of action, suspense, and those delicious spicy scenes Piper writes made me melt into a puddle of goo.

I'm never disappointed in the quality of characters I get in her books. Marissa is a strong independent FMC who is easy to relate to and like. Kazimir Dmitriyev is the possessive morally grey alpha that makes swooning and melting easy to do.

With all the intense excitement, unexpected twists, and delicious steamy romance I couldn't get enough.

Piper Stone has done it again with this dark Mafia romance! The connection between Marissa and Kazimir is fast, dirty, and sizzling hot. What started as stalking quickly turned into protection when Marissa lost her brother, setting the stage for a perfect blend of suspense and hot, steamy moments. Excellent dark, mafia story full of danger, romance and surprises. Kazimir rushes to the bedside of Charlie who he shared a friendship with many years ago when then were younger. He is shocked to find out that her was shot and even more surprised when he discovers that Charlie's sister Marissa is the same talented pianist he has be obsessed with for a while. Kazimir's protective instinct takes over as he discovers that Marissa is being targeted by the same rival Bratva that shot and killed Charlie. I was addicted from page one.

The plot was intriguing and well paced. World building was intriguing and well thought out. The characters drove the storyline and were perfectly drawn. They were dark and gritty and delicious. Highly recommend.

Ooo, how delicious and decadent! Kazimir couldn't deny his attraction to Marissa, even though he tried to deny himself. And Marissa wasn't sure if she could trust him even though she felt the connection, too. Add in the danger that's really trying to come between them and seeing Marissa becoming more than she knew she was capable of all the while they're fighting an enemy trying to destroy everything her family had built. Great characters and world building, loved the storyline. Bravo!.

Life is full of coincidences and none more so than when Kazimir finds out the sister his dying friend wants him to take care of is no other than the piano virtuoso that he has been enamoured with for months. This is a story of duelling Russian groups, one legit and one not both want the same girl albeit for different reasons. Lots of heat and spice, betrayal and brotherhood and a good storyline make for a great read.

This one is the second in the Dmitriyev Bratva series. In this one Kazimir is asked by his friend to keep his sister safe. Marissa, a pianist, rushes to her brother's side. The relationship between the two is a good one. It doesn't feel rushed. He still has emotions for his first love, and she doesn't just accept his decisions. Loved the story. The action starts at the beginning and last until the end. It’s well written, full of action and very entertaining. Kazimir and Marissa make a great couple but there are obstacles along the way. It’s great to see characters from the first story play a part in this one. If you want excitement and not sure what will happen next then this story is for you.

Her Muse

Going into this story with no expectations or specifics is the best option to enjoy the plot. While some things may seem predictable it is the slight differences in character development and added surprises that will keep you invested in Kaz and Marissa's romance. It is suspenseful, steamy and intriguing until the end.

I kept telling myself just five more minutes, then it was just one more chapter and before I realized it, I had just finished this terrific book. Kazimir and Marissa are scream from the top of the mountain five-star characters. This needs to be your next mafia romance book to read. You will be extremely happy you did.
