The best part of the book was the ending!

This is the second book of this series, and I have to say that I enjoyed the first one more. To me, Race and Tiberious are both pretty arrogant in how everyone has always catered to them. The ladies on the other hand are handling themselves very well in this world of the "monsters" . The way this book ended makes me want to read the next one; this third book seems like it will be more interesting.

good idea....but way too repetitive

Book 1 held much promise as the series began to unfold. However, there is so much repetition throughout the book that it lost much of it's appeal. Perhaps some editing would make it a cleaner read without the unnecessary overdone platitudes & reminders. Yes, I get it, Leonosis-Bad! Rage- good but a bit of a mess. Tiberius- good, but constantly tired, with a bit of a god complex. Overall, disappointing.

It's going to be a long wait

This story has some new characters and creatures.
I can't believe how easy this story is to follow. Having each character named to be the focus of each chapter, makes the story flow.
The three main characters are maturing in this part of the story with the fourth character (that left with the three main characters) is definitely maturing in a different direction! To say the least.

A decent installment with the usual coming-of-age stuff. Again, nothing is really resolved, but the worldbuilding is pretty good for a short episodic book.
