This was so good. It’s not often I’ll find a mafia book that holds my attention well, but this one did just that. The pacing was perfect. Everything was detailed and well written that it was clear to see what was happening. Highly recommend if you love the tropes below in your mafia books.

I guess I'm in the minority here, but this book would have been better as a novella: so much repetition and overly descriptive phrases.

This is the second book I’ve read by Lucky Moon and it was amazing! If you love a good dark romance full of kidnapping, revenge, betrayal, lust and love this is the book for you.

Our story starts off with a shell of a girl who you can feel her facade cracking as you get to know her. She makes herself so small and so invisible you just want to rage and cry at the same time for her. Our little is Clara Albright, a dirty politicians daughter who does everything in her power to be the perfect daughter. But it’s to her detriment. On the night she finally feels something, pride for a gala she hosted and raised funds for a charity she held near and dear she is kidnapped by her father’s enemy to be used for leverage.

Our Daddy Dom, Alexei Volkov, Pakhan to the Russian Bratva. Ruthless, controlling, annoyingly calm and could kill you 6 different ways just for looking at him wrong. However when he takes sweet little Clara, he sees her, really sees her. The woman is beautiful and strong and stubborn and he must have her. But when does taking her become more about claiming her and less about leverage.

This book may have triggers for some and I suggest you read the trigger warnings. Again it’s a dark romance so violence is strong, kidnapping was civil -ish, plus a little bondage, and a lot of Daddy Dom / little sub behavior.

I loved this book from start to finish and can’t wait to jump into the next in the series. Lucky writes so beautifully and really pulls you into the story. You feel the emotions and several times I wanted to rage and scream right along with Clara, especially after her “rescue”. Ugh I’d love to punch her father right in the throat.

A simply wonderful read, characters and scenario that will hold you riveted between its pages
A simply wonderful read characters that simply had me riveted between its pages and a storyline that is so well written and I guarantee that you will soon have a real feel for the two main characters who are Clara Petrov and Bratva Pakhaan Alexi Volkov.
There are several interesting aspects to this book that I thoroughly enjoyed and which are real eye openers to those that read this wonderful book. Clara has always known that her father has no time what so ever for her unless it is for her to be able to use the fact he has a daughter to his advantage.
When her father Viktor finds that he has got into debt with the Bratva Pakhaan Alexi Volkov and owes him a great deal of money he decides that he is not going to repay the money, when his daughter is taken and he requests the money be repaid he has no interest in repaying the money and tells him he is not interested in what happens to her.
Since Clara has been taken by Alexi Volkov and situated in his penthouse apartment she has never been so well looked after, for the first time she actually feels noticed and as though someone actually gives a damn about what actually happens to her.
When Alexi sees the way, she acts around him and the way that she has suffered at the hands of her father and his total disinterest in the only daughter he has he cannot help but feel a certain amount of sympathy for her. Also, he sees the way that she goes out of her way to help others she has general thought for those that are suffering and I guarantee that you will be as captivated by the characters in this book as myself.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.

You might want to make sure to double check that you are buckled up, dangerous men, alpha’s personified, possessive, oh, gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a story consisting with three D’s (dark, delicious, and dirty) 😊. There will be suspense, betrayal, death, darkness, secrets reveled, violence, hope, forgiveness, and maybe even love along the way. Clara has been invisible her whole life although, her family was rich it appeared she had everything her heart desired since her family comes from money but her father’s political career is more criminal than anything she knows it, the only time he shows any interest in her is when he needs her to his advantage and when she is kidnapped because of a debt owed to the Bratva they are told to keep her he doesn’t care what happens to her. Alexi sexy as all get out Bratva Pakhan isn’t a man you want on your radar, he is ruthless, dangerous on a good day, deadly every day, when a debt is owed he intends for it to be paid back but when the politician refuses to pay his people take his daughter as an incentive not realizing the man didn’t care about his daughter and he has watched her from afar for a while to see that there was more to her than meets the eye. From the moment she was taken she actually feels seen for the first time, well cared for and Aexi feels for her seeing that her father could careless about her, he also notices that she goes out of her way to help others, cares for others who are hurting tries to help in any way she can that he admires nothing like her father but what will he do with her, will he make her father pay his debt, will all her father’s bad deeds be brought to light, will he give her the care she deserves, and will she get the care, the happiness she happiness?

Clara is the epitome of the poor little rich girl. Ignored by her father unless it suits his political/criminal needs, she is seemingly invisible to all… except Alexei. He, a Bratva Boss, sees her more clearly and deeply than she even sees herself. She is brilliant, he is brutal; she is a virtual innocent, he is a violence driven criminal. While both are extremely strong in their own ways they also have an extremely vulnerable side. So much alike, so much different, such a GREAT story of their coming together. Ms. Moon has a very devious mind and she puts to paper an action-packed criminal conspiracy enhanced by a hard-earned romance featuring compassion, conflict, erotic sex, and a Daddy/little relationship all within a juxtaposition of good versus evil. This is the first book in a planned trilogy of the Volkov brothers and it is truly outstanding. I impatiently await the next book, though I can’t imagine how it could be as good, let alone better, than this one. Ms. Moon has written a great many very good books but this is clearly her BEST yet. 5 Stars.

This story was nothing like I thought it would be, it’s better than I thought because it deals mostly with Alexei and Clara and how their relationship morphs into a beautiful love story. The Bratva is secondary to the couple. I loved everything about this story especially their emotions that I could feel through the writings and those went from one extreme to another and anywhere in between. There is danger throughout the story and it comes from the last person who should want to hurt Clara. It’s well written and presented in such a way that I was hooked on the story from the very beginning. I truly hated to see the story end. Definitely a story worth reading. I would love to read Ivan and Dmitry’s story.

She is a pawn in a bigger game but he is a daddy who uncovers her secrets

She starts off as a leverage for Alexis but soon turns into a hidden gem that is uncovered and he is the only person that really sees Clara I found that the plot development in the book comes along way and also you see her father is absolutely a scumbag I was so upset with how she was used by her dad but like she finally grows and stands up for herself I mean the office scene I think even Alexis saw her growth to. This slowly turns into a deeper connection between the two and you definitely see more into him as well but she softens him. I will say I wish that her father could of showed his true colors earlier because I hated she had to go through what she did . Alexis definitely shock me with how he handled the end of the story but it showed his hands are in several cookie jars so to speak

A new author to look out for unlocked.

I love daddy romance, but I haven’t (and maybe I’m wrong) discovered many authors, who write not only spicy novellas, but longer books filled with wonderful characters, a deeper, longer building connection, amazingly written plot and characters and that and more delivers this book.

Clara and Alexei’s story captivated me since page one. This book is filled to the brim with heart, heat, hurdles and love.

Poor little rich girl was my thought at first. Then the FMC started doing acts of kindness and it changed my perspective completely about her. And then, a lot of stuff happens to her and she proves to be much more than meets the eye. And, the towards the end of the book a big reveal that I was not expecting made this a beautiful love story. This book was well-written and easy to digest. It was interesting and detailed in a way that gave me good insight and background into both main characters. I loved both of them. I really enjoyed this novel and would definitely recommend it.

What an excellent way to start a new series. This book is heart melting, full of spice and love. Clara and Alexi are dynamic well written characters who you will be captivated by. This book will drag you in and keep you inthralled right to the very end. I really loved this book and can’t wait to read book 2.

Clara's father, Viktor, is a corrupt politician and he crossed the wrong man. Alexei uses Clara as leverage. I loved the dynamic between Clara and Alexei. I do not always love DDLG, but this one was tasteful and really well done. Clara is use to being ignored, but Alexei does not ignore Clara, quite the opposite. Very enjoyable and entertaining story.

3.5* Love the dynamic in this book. It was my first time reading DDlg and I enjoyed every moment of it!!!!! It was explained really well, and I am IN LOVEEE with Alexei. I didn't enjoy the FMC as much. I liked that she was so passionate about her charity work, but I feel like the way the dynamic was mixed into real-life situations was a little cringe at times. The plot part of the book was interesting, but did not fully satisfy me. Can't wait to read more from Lucky Moon!

What happens when your kidnapper shows you just how much your life sucked? Alexei is the perfect reluctant daddy. He loves Clara so much that he wants to protect her from all of the monsters in her life, including himself. Clara may be a "Little" but she's also a grown woman who knows what she wants and she wants her Bratva Daddy.

They really are well written and have you turning the pages to see if everything works out in the end.

I really enjoyed this book! It had the perfect blend of romance and mafia vibes that worked so well together. The DD/lg elements were actually really sweet and added a softer, more emotional layer to the story. If you like protective alphas with a touch of tenderness, this one definitely delivers!

Book started a little slow, but once you read a little more you find why the author gives so many details in the beginning. You will find betrayal between family as well as a unity, secrets, violence, and daddy and little. Once I got into the story I could not put it down.

Writing was fine but I don't do " little" romances and the mmc punishing the fmc with a pacifier (makes her use them like a baby) is the exact opposite of a turn on.
Several times the fmc mentions being "little" and though I did dnf before anything got extreme, I did not want to read more into a story with such extreme age play.

I loved Alexei and Clara's story. A highly entertaining and totally enticing blend of spice, emotions, drama, tension, heart, and intensity. The chemistry was off-the-charts and there was a lovely underlying sweetness in them being so perfect for each other.

Such Chemistry!!

Love the chemistry between Alexei and Clara. Their DDlg dynamic was perfection. Great storyline as well with Clara’s dad and rival bratva. Look forward to Ivan’s story!

DNF - light DDlg, light mafia, stopped at 40%, total snooze 💤 fest. I’m really getting tired of slow burns that have no substance, at least enough to keep the reader interested until 💦. The only author I have found that can keep a slow burn interesting is Jill Ramsower.
