A former college pitcher turned college coach turned minor league manager, Amelia Suarez-Carmichael has devoted her life to baseball. She’s climbed the ladder just like the players. Her years spent in the minor leagues have prepared her to help develop players, and create an environment in which they – and she – can thrive. When the Detroit Mustangs call on her to join the front office staff, the curtain is pulled back on the world of professional baseball, and Amelia’s perspective begins to shift.
Ethan Crawford has been coaching football for over a decade – from college to the pros – and knows a thing or two about changing sports landscapes. After an administrative mix up causes Ethan and Amelia’s paths to cross, the two strike up a friendship that quickly grows into something more.
When Amelia begins to question her place in the front office, Detroit, and the game of baseball Ethan is there to help her navigate the rough roads. With her heart on the line, more questions about life – and baseball – than she has answers, Amelia takes a leap of faith (in more ways than one).
Will Amelia strikeout, or will her new venture – in life and love – prove to be a home run?

I already know I’m going to love anything Megan Cousins writes, but this one might be my favorite yet. I fell instantly for Amelia and Ethan, and I loved getting more insight into the minor league manager we met in the previous series. The romance, the baseball, and the allegedly grumpy dog were perfect, but what really got me was the sense of community and found family woven throughout the story. Amelia is the most relatable character I’ve read from this author so far. I felt every moment with her: her doubts, victories, heartbreak, and joy. This book left me smiling when I turned the last page. My only complaint is I now have to wait for the next book to be released.
Loved this one so much! Ethan is such a dreamy MMC-supportive, loyal and I love ‘he falls first’. Adored he & Amelia together. I always love how Megan tackles gender equality in the workplace. Another win of a read!
Full review to come! This book was so sweet and so inspiring. I adored Amelia and Ethan. Amelia's inner battle with not feeling like herself hit so close to home and was all too relatable.
