Great book good character and storyline. Only thing through me was the drinking and she was suppose to be pregnant. The plot twist was definitely Calvin didn’t expect that at all.
Thank you for the ARC! Sorry it took me a minute to write this review! I was thinking about how to write it!
I struggled a little bit with this one. The storylines between characters were good! I wanted to read more to see what was going to happen next and what was going to happen with all the secrets. I think I struggled because of all the different POVs. I was having to check again to see who I was reading about in the chapter I was reading, and with all the different characters, it kept me confused. Overall it was an ok read for me and was by no means horrible, but I guess it just wasn't quite my cup of tea.
first, a big thank you to the author for providing me with an e-arc of things we don’t say. i always appreciate the opportunity to read early and form my own thoughts. this book was full of drama, scandal, and secrets from the very start. we follow four women whose friendship looks solid on the outside, but underneath is being held together by silence, betrayal, and way too much cheating. every single storyline was heavy, messy, and layered, and the stakes kept getting higher the further you read. there are a lot of povs and twists in this one, which at times made it a little difficult to keep up. you really have to stay locked in because the secrets overlap and the relationships are deeply intertwined. once everything starts unraveling, though, it’s hard to look away. the author definitely knew how to keep the tension high. that said, the cheating trope was just not my favorite here. i know it was central to the story and necessary for the drama, but personally it took away from my overall enjoyment. it felt relentless at times, and i found myself more exhausted than shocked by some of the reveals. overall, this was a solid read and i can see why it will work for readers who love scandal-heavy friendship dramas. it just wasn’t fully for me. i’m landing at a 3/5 — entertaining, messy, and well-paced, I believe there is a second book, so I do plan to re-read and read the next one. thoughts may change :)
Now that I got my thank yous out the way….Chileee, let me tell yall! This book was a MESS! A good juicy mess 😂😂 I literally just finished it and came straight here. If you like scandals, a lil sneaky link here and there, and a lot of drama… and maybe some Kingpins, then this book is definitely for you. It’s short but just long enough to get you(me) wanting to read about the core four a lil bit more. I can’t wait for the next installation!
When I say it was drama all in this book that’s what I mean. These women are going through it with all these secrets. Secrets will def come out and loyalty is definitely questioned in this book. Baby I can’t tell nothing else just go and read it!!!! Geli B…I have questions cause this book had me all over the place. I definitely enjoyed this book.
Ooooooh this book is juicy!!!!! Everybody has a secret & when things start to come out….Omg!!!! I have never said chileeee out loud so many times while reading before in my life! Taylor is my girl! I can’t wait for the next book because there just has to be another one.
