5 🌟 Great fun & love the dungeon settings

not a bad book, but I think some of the powers are lame.
Not a bad book, just wish the power progression was a little bit faster. The MC likable, but not very dynamic, more like a cookie cutter personality. I personally don’t think the powers and skills. The character has received so far are very interesting. And don’t let me go into the fact that he’s talking to his skills. The MC is more timid than courageous. Maybe that’s because he’s growing into his abilities, I don’t know for sure. Just wish the MC would wander on his own instead of being static in the same place. Will read the next book.

Best! Evarrr! Friggen! AwesomeSauce...
Ohhhh! Myyy! Best! Book! Evarrr! And if you can't tell I friggen Loved the book!!! Edge Vasher was an awesome MC and as his story continues, he levels. There is nothing I like better than all the action that happens when fighting monsters, whether it's ranged attacks, frenetic melee, or better yet dungeon diving. Edge along with his team are doin just that, and hitting even higher leveled monsters to gain greater rewards! When they heard about the Savage Garden an apt name for the Dungeon that's never been conquered, they decided to help! With a lot of planning, 6 teams marched on to challenge the Savage Garden. Things went pear-shaped very quickly however and Edge finds him alone in a very, very dangerous dungeon. His only chance of survival is to trust in Skill Eater, and the other spells he's acquired!
And get this his skills are seemingly aware/sentient once Edge discovered that he makes them his best buds. Relying on them to help him get stronger and survive! I love this idea! Treat your spells well, and they'll in turn treat you right!
Here's a couple of quotes that tickled me:
“Well, I’ll be... It’s chibi me.”...“You can understand what I’m saying?” The skill avatar nodded, then resumed dancing. After that, it refused to respond to anything other than Chibime."
"...he would have judged the intensity of this moment to be ten out of ten. It grew to eleven."

This was a little better than the first. Edge goes into a dungeon to save the town. It's a TPW, and he gets separated from his group. Eventually he gets stranded in the dungeon with some convicts who are seeking the same reward his people are: a Magitech Core creation building. So he has to avoid or kill them, and kill three mini-bosses to get into the final chamber. It illustrates why this is a good series: by the time the book ends, his skills have almost completely changed. He is much stronger but because of how the skill progression works, but he's not OP and his character sheet remains fluid because of the nature of his Core and the way the System works. It's a lot better in concept than the typical D&D build where you choose to play a thief and that locks in certain ideas about what to expect. Here, he can gain skills that completely change his combat prowess in the course of the book.

Maybe unpopular opinion I enjoyed Edge by himself instead with a group. Other than trapper the rest of the group just slow him down too much in my opinion. I did enjoy the final fight against the gardener with snake and one eye they really kick ass with edge, makes me wish they was a group instead with fox sprinkled in. Also to add to the romance department I really like Sakura the most and hope they get closer after both baring their secrets to each other. Idk because recently my luck with who obviously the best girl the MC always pick the most obviously lame option 🙄
Side note: I hate how Edge talks about the women it’s so cringe I genuinely get second hand embarrassment can we please tone it down 😭

More levels and more skills in a rare opportunity to delve a uncleared dungeon goes awry when Edge finds himself separated from his team.
World building continues and questions arise, can a AI living in the core of the planet be subverted somehow? Is a high rank prisoner in control, is the AI just bloodthirsty and a little crazy?
On the “trapped on the planet” side, is population going to be an issue? Puppets are cloned bodies and sterile, are jailbirds able to give birth? Are puppets immortal or can skills make you longer lived? Can the system clone more people?
Can Edge crystallize his skills with alchemy and bank some regeneration for people?

not bad
I really wanted to give 5 stars. However, the amount of internal dialogue was overwhelming.
The reputation of the same idea over and over. Is too much. He reminded me with the school days. When we needed to write a paragraph of certain count of words and we run out of ideas. We repeat the same idea different words which the author didn’t even do. At different situations. I hope that he read the review and change that matter. I would really appreciate it. And get to enjoy the book with out skipping.

Rough start...
The first book was at best a 3.5. However, the epilogue had a great hook so I jumped into book 2 right after. Honestly the first 40% of this book should have been heavily compressed. It was nothing that was really interesting. Just a running list of I did this, then I did that... I skipped pages at a time. Once it finally advanced to the dungeon that was foreshadowed in book one things were interesting again. Just not for me. I will return to the series after reading something else.

Solid Litrpg
This book is well-constructed with a great plot, a very interesting world, and solid characters to back it all up. The writing has the usual issues you’d find in the genre (opposite of the show-don’t-tell philosophy and overexplaining/lack of faith in readers’ memory for details chief among them) but to a very manageable degree. I found the series gripping and a nice escape.

Not a bad book. I don’t know about him talking to his skills. And the leveling up goes in spurts. And sometimes is totally ignored. But the one thing that really bothers me is the battles. In almost every one it’s going great and then something happens and they’re losing and then they turn it around and win. I was just waiting to see what would fuckup this time. And not in the good way. But I think I’ll read the next one

I am really enjoying this series! Thank you for the recap. It had been more than a minute since I had read book 1 and I was a little confused about what was going on. Once I got my bearings, I thoroughly enjoyed the adventure and I am totally looking forward to reading book 3!

Dungeon crucible
Alternate universe, magic, leveling, adventure, fight for survival
Edge has his work cut out for him in this entry, as he becomes separated from his new friends and has to survive in a dungeon filled with powerful monsters. And the it gets worse. A couple continuity errors, but still a good yarn. Excellent editing. I'm in for book 3.

Great second book
Another enjoyable read.
Magnus really piles the pressure on our hero and I really struggled to put this down.

Even better than the 1st book
Not perfect but certainly better than the first book. Edge is much more comfortable in his skin and actually knows what he’s doing. The world building is pretty good and the supporting character are good as well.

A strong book 2
When I started this series I expected it to be an overpowered MC fantasy, but instead the main character feels like an underdog clawing their way up. It is delightful. The world of Ord keeps getting more complex and I can't wait to learn more about it

book could be half as long if the it didn't spend 5 mi minutes describing a skill that is used often and with little change. I do enjoy the magic system and the story is fairly basic for the genre.
