በሔዋን ሰበብ
"አዳምና ሔዋን ከእውቀት ዛፍ ፍሬ የበሉ ቀን ለምን አልሞቱም?" ለሚለው የሔዋን ጥያቄ መልስ ፍለጋ ሁለት ወዳጆቼ ጋር ሄድኩ። እየቆየ የሔዋን ጥያቄ የእኔም ጥያቄ ሆነ። አንዱ ጥያቄ ብዙ ፈለፈለ። ሔዋን ማናት? አዳም ማነው? እኛ የሔዋን ልጆች ነን? ወይስ የአዳም ልጆች? ሞት ምንድን ነው? ከእውቀት ዛፍ ፍሬ ለምን አትብሉ ተባሉ? ፍርሃት ምንድን ነው? ፍርሃት ጠቃሚ ነው? ለምን እንፈራለን? ስንፈራ ምን እንሆናለን? መስዋዕት እና ክብር እንዴት ተቆራኙ? የመውደዳችን ልክ በምን ይወሰናል? ራስን ማወቅ ምንድን ነው? ራስን መግዛት ምንድን ነው? ራስን ማወቅና መግዛት ይቻላል? እንዴት? እነዚህና መሰል ጥያቄዎች በመጽሐፉ ተስተናግደዋል።

interesting read!
This is one of the most interesting Amharic books I’ve read in recent time. It’s different! Different from the usual writings from character building to the level of intellectual discussion amongst the three characters (Hewan and the two grown up college graduates). Since the dialogue is both entertaining and educational, I don’t want to ruin the hype the readers may get by going into details of the contents of the dialogue/monologue. If you have enjoyed the types of writings of the late Gash Sebhat Gebre’ziabhier, this may be a closest thing to it.
