"Books contain countless wonders."

Arakil, once a god of magic, found himself at odds with other deities. Imprisoned within his grimoire, he had to wait until the perfect person came along.

That person was a bunny girl named Lily. An orphan with a frail body that ruined her chances of being an adventurer. But, she had a talent for penmanship and a thirst for knowledge - the perfect foundation for a mage apprentice.

Seeing the opportunity to train a new pupil eager to improve their life, and sensing a chance to work towards his own freedom, Arakil teams up with Lily to foster her magical abilities.

FannnFriggenTastic! I LOVE Lily and Rose! And you will too!

I LOVE Lily the MC although Arakil is kinda sorta a close second, Lily's secret magic book! Without Arakil, Lily would be a sickly shadow of a Bunny, a Lagia! She would be without magic, or bloodline. Arakil believes that everyone is capable of using magic... so he sets about proving it to her!! And then there's Rose incredibly strong and wonderful friend a Dragia, dragon. Both Lily and Rose grew up in the same orphanage and decided on making a pact only sisters could make! So with some incredibly hard work the two sisters and Arakil manage to make Lily magical even faking a magic bloodline too. And Lily chose to fake Astral Magic because it looked soooooooo cool! Humm, I'm not sure that lookin "cool" is the best reason for choosing your magical bloodline, but Lily hardens her resolve resolve and Astral Magic it is. You definitely need this book in your library to follow Lily and Rose's adventure with their secret magic book. And maybe find out about puff... It's a perfect book to share with your entire family too!
I totally love Lunadea! I devoured Syl the story of the evolution of Slime and bk4 will be out in Dec. So you have time to read the Bookbound Bunny and catch up with Syl before the next book comes out! I'm not sure why Lunadea has yet to write about a human MC. But that's OK with me and I'm definitely following this author to see what else they're up to!

So, I gave this 5 stars, because 4 wasn't quite enough. But it's not necessarily for everyone I think.

First - it's LONG. I know that's a feature of LitRPG/progession/whatever but at some point I was getting a feeling of "I'm still reading this?" It's a trilogy in one book! That happened for me a bit before the midpoint. I'll note that the last three hundred pages sort of flew by once I shook that feeling.

This is the arc that happens before the 'goes to magic school' arc. So a lot of development and growth. It does end in the expected place, the goal of everything laid out having been reached for good or ill.

The character is young and acts that way at times. Decent surrounding characters, all with good intentions - which is probably good because otherwise they'd be really evil to take advantage of a young girl.

I was very pleased.

It is not slop, first off. I don't know if AI was used during the writing process (my guess is that it was minimal or none) but I enjoyed the writing style. It was appropriately childish for the characters involved and did an excellent job of winding me in with the drama of a magical orphanage.
It is, in my view, well written and well executed. The cute mannerisms of the main character did a lot for me as far as not only telling me she is a young and adorable rabbit but also showing me the same.
I also enjoyed the magic system that was put into place as well as how the "teacher" figure was introduced. It helped to put the entire story into perspective and teach a lot about the in book universe.
So yeah, I defintely enjoyed it. It was very charming.

Born with a fragile constitution Lily can't develop the strength and agility typical of her species. She owns a mysterious book (last memory of her late mother) that no one else seem able to even open, sealed inside of it is the Archmage Arakil.

Lily doesn't have a System helping her, and after some surprise at the talking book she gains motivation to study magic from him. It's not a simple endeavor, there is very little ambient Mana left in the world and Lily herself doesn't have any. Slow and stable progression.

I read this on RoyalRoad before publishing. I really enjoyed this book overall. The characters wants, personalities and actions match who they are described to be. The protagonist, Lily, has been sick the majority of her life while living in an orphanage. She stumbles into a discovery that changes her life. She might be scared but she puts on foot in front of the other to chase her dreams.

Cute

The narrative has captivated me completely, leaving me eagerly anticipating the next installment of this compelling story. The immersive experience was so profound that I find myself longing to remain within the pages, deeply connected to the world and characters that have so thoroughly enchanted my imagination.

Lunadea Writes Another Great Book

Honestly didn't expect I would enjoy this as much as Syl from the premise, but it is so good.

The cahrectwrs are very well written with their own voices and the charecter growth is great. It's nice to not have hard number stats.

I am really looking forward to future books and hoping for Lily and Rose romance.

Oh, I'm hooked

Gotta admit the cover enticed me to read this book. I'm so glad it did. It was wonderful. Just enough action to keep it interesting and the arch mage aspect to keep you hoping. The bunny girl just makes you want to root for her. Epilogue was great as well all aspects covered.
Bring on book two!

Buyer beware, not a litrpg. Read this one because I liked the author’s other series. They have drastically improved as an author. Very cute book about a girl and a somewhat evil book. Excellent slice of life, manages to write a believable yet not annoying young person. If you’re looking for a long, wholesome audiobook this one is near the top.

Outstanding story crafting

I was hooked from the start. I'm interested to see if the magic deity can be rehabilitated. Some societal challenges are hinted at like a storm over the horizon; how will Lily face them. I'm hooked and want to know!

so good

I have been looking for a story like this. I’m so excited for book 2 but with no official release date or even confirmation that a second is being worked on I’m sad to have to wait.

This is very much a slice-of-life story, but with excessively slow pacing. If this was half the length, it would be a much better read. As is, it is boring enough is several places as to be very tedious.

Fantastic light read

At first I feared for the worst being on the Internet, but much to my surprise the book is wholesome. It takes a few chapters to cover the background, but after that it's a good weave of all things fantasy.

Can' wait for book 2!

Main character is delightful, mentor is a book. No long character sheets. I like the star magic! I hope Lunadea plans another, well written book. 😁

Very enjoyable read. Sort of has a slice-of-life feel to it even though it's not marked as such. Now I need to wait impatiently for the sequels!
