Rate this book
A gripping, action-packed World War Two thriller! Perfect for fans of John Le Carré, Philip Purser and Charles Whiting.

The Nazis experiment with mind games…

Early in World War II, Captain Hector Chisholm’s freighter is sunk.

Transferred to a German submarine, claustrophobia takes over and his mental nightmare begins.

Assumed mad, he spends some time in a lunatic asylum — then is sent to ‘The Pavilion’, a sinister convalescent centre for wounded Allied prisoners.

Despite his successful escape back to England, the shadows of death and suspicion surround him as he is drawn further into a maze of intrigue and danger.

It is only when the Allies prepare to storm the beaches of Sicily that Chisholm learns the shocking reality of the enemy within.

But for him the game is not yet over...

CHAINS is an authentic wartime action military action and adventure during the Second World War.

‘Every bit as good as Le Carré’s best … heart-stopping suspense.’ — Publishers Weekly

Excellent book

Fantastic work. Reminiscent of Hammond Innes and Neveile Schute . I've read both of these authors and I'm gratified to find craftsmanship still exists in literature today. To the author please don't stop writing, your like is still needed today as it was 80 years ago
