Blood Drift: A Colt Landry Novel

Rate this book
In the one place the law can’t reach, a killer thinks he’s untouchable.

Welcome to Widow’s Pass. Where the snow buries secrets, and the law ends at the treeline.

Newly appointed Sheriff Colt Landry expected a quiet start in the remote town of Widow’s Pass, Wyoming. Instead, his first day brings a body. A park ranger left mutilated just inside the infamous Zone of Death. Fifty square miles of legal loophole just inside Yellowstone National Park where crime isn’t punished.

Until now.

Locals whisper of animal predation when the ranger is found. But Colt’s instincts, and the coroner’s forensic evidence, might just tell a different story. A darker story.

With a historic winter storm about to cut the town off from the rest of the world, the clock is ticking for Sheriff Landry to catch the true predator. Someone who knew the law well enough to hide behind its blind spots.

To get to the truth, Colt must unravel a web of political agendas, buried grudges, and dangerous myths tied to the infamous Zone of Death.

With a pregnant widow demanding answers, a young deputy on the edge, and a mayor obsessed with protecting the town’s image, Colt will have to decide how far he’s willing to go for justice… and whether the truth is something the town is ready to face.

In a land without law, the truth is still out there, buried in blood and snow.

Perfect for fans of C.J. Box's Joe Pickett, Craig Johnson's Longmire, and William Kent Krueger's Cork O'Connor series, Blood Drift is a heart-pounding police procedural packed with chilling atmosphere, rugged terrain, and secrets that won’t stay buried.

blood drift

I enjoyed reading this book very much. I love it when there’s plots in so many sub plots but you just can’t figure out the criminals in the first two chapters. I know I will be enjoying reading this whole series. Thank you again for writing. Such a wonderful story to read.

Good reading

I love animals, and feel MIGG did the correct thing with Kelly. She got what she deserved. She was truly evil. Looking forward to reading book 2. I think this will be another good series of reading.
