Desperate Love - The Complete Trilogy collects all three novellas, and contains two bonus short stories not available anywhere else.
This book was pretty good, if short considering it's a omnibus of 3 short stories.
The world has had a solar flare disaster that's knocked electronics out, including cars and the like. The MC was on his way to a remote cabin in the Pacific northwest when it happened, and he's walking the last bit to the cabin he rented. Upon arriving, he finds a sick woman inside. He helps take care of her, and they eventually bond.
I didn't like the woman that much. She was too combative. While I can understand her distrust, she needed help and fought him just about every inch in the beginning. And she had so much emotional baggage that it's astounding that as soon as she's a little healthier, she asks to trade sexual favors.
Just as the story was starting to get good, it ends.
I really enjoyed reading this book! I found it very hard to put down. Yes there was descriptive sex scenes in the book but the just added to the story.
