Just as every prisoner is given their final meal, the girl who has only ever been caged diverts from her planned demise for one last feast.

Only, the man who was meant to satiate her curiosity awakens new desires along with a far more dangerous emotion. Safety.

The war between the hurt child and the hardened woman she’s become begins as Hana questions if they can both survive in a world that’s only ever isolated them.

Drawn together by violence and silence, their lives begin to intertwine in ways they’ll never recover from. Auguste and Hana must face the question neither dared to

It was a weird one. I’m not saying it was bad but I took me a minute to get into it and normally I go into A.X. Cole’s books without thinking but this one was definitely out there. I am glad I read it especially if it ties in with the memento trilogy.

I didn’t see the connection between Hana aunt and uncle and Auguste mum and dad coming.

“What will it take for you to scream for me?”

The hunter and the prey.
The chase and the capture.

Prey shows his demons
Hunter shares hers.

Together they play a dark hollow trick and become each other's treat for the night.
Until the sun comes up and the morning light casts its eerie glow as the masks fall.

Once innocent lives are now walking down a haunted path…can they allow their demons to rekindle together?

“Run and hide, sweet thief.”

This is a dark, unhinged and deadly novella!

Set in the same world as The Memento Trilogy, this introduces two new characters and it’s safe to say that ‘Hana’ & Auguste are going to fall in nicely with the deadly chaos.

I loved that Hana was the villain stalker instead of it being a male role, it made a nice change and gave the story an edgier vibe. It was written in a very interesting way too, Auguste is written in first person whereas Hana was in third person and gave a whole new way of reading this one. You understand quickly why this was done and in such a creative way.

Hana has a very dark twisted tragic past and only wants one night…she got way more than intended and having Auguste stumble upon her made for a new wicked idea of claiming him for the evening.

Everything wasn’t so straight poshboy laced with Auguste either and Hana dug deep unlocking his true desires without warning too. As the story progresses you start to draw connections and your mind is wondering what will happen in the end…

A.X Cole is no sweet romantic-at least in the traditional sense and book 3 still to come…

With deadly bitter twists, mind turning smut and broken emotions that a therapist would beg to question how these characters are still “normal”...The Last Feast will certainly have you turning the light on in the dark.

“One, two…A devil’s coming for you.”

Okay, AX Cole is always going to kill it, and this one isn’t any different. I loved that this book is set in the same world as The Memento Trilogy world, and I can’t wait to see what happens to these two and how they are going to interact with the other characters. I loved that in this book, the roles are reversed, and Hana is the masked stalker, and how her part of the story is written in third person makes more sense in a way, and you will understand it when you read it. And Auguste’s story is written in first person, and it’s fun and wild to see how different these two characters are, but they really are the same. They have been through so much trauma, and my heart hurts for them. As the story goes on, you see more and more connections, and you can’t help but wonder what will happen to these two. AX Cole always keeps you on your toes, and your mind is always trying to figure out what’s going on. I can’t wait to see everything that is going to happen in book 3 because everything will start to make sense. You don’t want to miss it! And a little birdie told me that book 3’s title is releasing today. Also, you can read this book on Kindle Unlimited and the first two books of The Memento Trilogy.

🪓Thank you to AX COLE for the ARC!!🪓

As always A.X.Cole delivers on imtoxicating, addictive, dark books. I love her writing and find myself gripped by the words she writes.
This book starts from the get go, intense and gory, it is set in the world of the memento trilogy, which is such a good series. I was so happy that The Last Feast came out in between waiting for the third book. I totally recommend reading this series too!
The characters Hana & Auguste, are both broken, but Hana being the Pschotic Stalker, is furious with Auguste, he has taken her prized possesion. The twists & turns make for a gripping, enthralling read. I lapped it up! Desires & twisted Morally grey characters, edgy fast paced writing make this a 5 star read! It makes a change for the female lead to be the 'devil'. Two broken souls, mending one another through a stolen moment. Fantastic!

I myself don't have triggers although having gone through trauma, like many, I can detach myself in books and find them an escape. But if you do have triggers read the warnings as there are many!
Thanks to A.X.Cole for sending me this ARC, all opinions are my own.

Ax's books are not for the faint hearted, the Last Feast is no different. This is  pitch black, deranged, and set in the same world as the Memento Trilogy.

Hana is deranged but given good reason. When she sets her sights on Auguste and he takes something that doesn't belong to him, she makes it her mission to go after him and retrieve what rightfully belongs to her.
Auguste is fascinated by all things gore, right down to mutilation, what he doesn't expect with this little secret is for the deranged little psycho who follows him into a haunted maze to find out, let alone bring him out of his shell and have him become his best self.

No one truly knows what's going to come out of Ms Coles head, including herself sometimes but if she writes it, you can gaurantee I'm going to read it. Please know your limits when diving in and read within them.

If you have never read an AX Cole book you have been missing out. She has a fantastic way of telling a story that not only leaves you intrigued but also wanting more. Since I accidentally discovered her with her East Coast Bratva Series, I have been hooked. I devoured her books and can never get enough. If you like dark romance, I promise you won't regret picking up an AX Cole book. This book follows to traumatized individuals. Hana is waiting on her last feast before she ends it all. Auguste has no idea he has made her mad. She puts a plan in motion to make him pay, not realizing he might be exactly what she needs. If you love a good dark and spicy romance this book is for you.

Auguste & Hana.

So much trauma and emotions were somehow squeezed into 164 pages! Auguste is in 1st person POV but Hana is in 3rd person which I was unsure about going into it but it worked so well. It helped to show just how broken Hana was and gave her an almost animalistic quality.

When Auguste stumbles upon a deer carcass in the woods, he unknowingly takes the only possession Hana has ever had which sparks her rage. This delays her plans to end her own life by one night when she decides to punish the thief for taking without permission. Something she has endured for most of her life. What follows is a little stalking, a little violence and the unusual use of an axe.

What began as a chance encounter quickly becomes a healing journey for two very broken people. Don't get me wrong, this is dark - but it's also beautiful to watch both of the MC's finding in each other the opportunity to be exactly who they are without judgement. This gives each of them the space they need to face their own demons and set themselves free.

As always check your TWs and be warned ... it ends on a cliffhanger! I received this as an arc copy.

Sooo we’re back to the depravity. Similar to Delusions and Illusions, please do not read this book without checking the content warnings unless you genuinely have no triggers. I’m much more familiar with what A.X. Cole is capable of so I was able to knowingly skip them this time without feeling like I’ve been thrown for a whole loop. But whew. This is an intense 150 pages! Dark, depraved, gory, upsetting, violent, but somehow sweet as well. I realize that’s a pretty wild take, but I genuinely felt the sentiment at times. I’ll never look at an ax the same way though. Honestly, I’m enraptured and can’t wait to see if there’s more to come. I received a copy of this book directly from the author, A.X. Cole, and this is my honest review. 4.5 stars. Threads is the place for finding really good authors because it led me here.

If you are a fan of dark romance with a side of depravity, gore, and violence, this one is for you. Author Ax Cole writes The Last Feast. If you haven't had the opportunity to pick up one of Ax’s books, I highly recommend it. I would also recommend checking the trigger warnings before diving in, OR if you are someone like me who uses trigger warnings as a shopping list - even better!

This poignant and unflinching book follows Hana and Auguste, two deeply troubled individuals who have endured significant trauma in their young lives. This unhinged, twisty-turny little number will keep you on your toes. It is fast-paced and unrelenting. I love a psychotic FMC! LOL! I couldn’t imagine two people more suited for each other.

Thanks to Ax Cole for gifting me an eARC of The Last Feast. I am leaving this review voluntarily. All thoughts and opinions are my own

First off, mind your triggers for this book because there are a lot of them! Secondly, I had sort of mixed feelings about this book. For me it started off strong, I think the writing is great, the characters are strong and interesting, and I really enjoyed seeing the power dynamics play out between them. However, about halfway through the book that dynamic shifts pretty drastically which I don’t love quite as much, as well as I feel as though a big part of the whole last feast concept and suspense was, in my experience, lost because of that shift. Certain elements of the dynamics and kinks explored, especially in the latter half of the story, just weren’t to my taste as well, but again the writing was solid and if this book is maybe more to your taste, I think someone else could really love it. Thank you so much to the author for my arc of this book.

FMC: Hana/Sasha
MMC: Auguste/Jamie

This was an interesting read, for sure. I love how these two tortured souls found each other and wanted to repair the broken pieces in each other. They see the good in each other despite all the darkness.

The plot twist was completely unexpected. The cliffhanger was (lovingly) unappreciated. LOL. I want/need to know what happens next! I cant wait to see how this branch of The Memento Trilogy world fits into the original trilogy when book 3 of it comes out.

Once again, A.X. manages to suck me in with her depraved words and edges me into oblivion with these characters & stories. Well done.

are we okay? no. the answer is no. check your trigger warnings before diving into this one.
The Last Feast was darker than the others I've dived into for AX Cole but omg I love her messed up mind. Hana was as deranged and psychotic as I imagined her to be. BUT THE TWIST FOR AUGUSTE?! Of course he was born from evil, how could we not get that ending. #ForNow 😈
this book throws you head first into depravity. blood, gore, and questionable morals from your FMC. however we get a nice golden retriever MMC that will do absolutely anything for her including running downhill into the fire of unknown societies. I cannot wait to see how this book connects to the rest of her shared world, and what's next for Sasha.

"I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.” The last feast. When Auguste stumbles across a deer carcass in the woods, he unknowingly takes the only possession Hana has ever cherished. His careless act ignites her fury and delays her plan to end her own life. Determined to punish the thief, Hana sets out on a path of stalking, violence, and the unexpected swing of an axe.
But what begins as a dark confrontation transforms into something far more complex a fractured connection between two broken souls. As Hana and Auguste are forced to face each other, they discover the rare freedom to exist without judgment. In that fragile space, they confront their demons, and in doing so, find a chance at healing. 💛

This one had an interesting twist and was a little different in the delivery, the first person pov for Auguste and third person pov for Hana took a minute to get use to but it fit the story so well and added an extra unhinged element.

i love the reverse roles in this with Hana being the unhinged stalker, the story unfolds nicely and I love that this is set in the memento world so we already know it’s gonna be dark, seriously twisted and unhinged before we even dive in.

this was a amazingly packed short read with layers of trauma, spicy and emotions that took you on a ride you won’t soon forget with a fab twist.

Ax is not a soft romance writer, so if you haven’t read one of her book, be sure to check the TWs and prepare to question your sanity and life a little in the darkness.

Every time I read something by A.X. Cole I think "How bad can the MINDF**K going to be this time?" and yet ... I am never fully prepared for it.
Still, it's what I come back for time and time again.
This time? The broken parts of Hana and Auguste are so utterly broken and tragic. Their interactions were so twisted and dirty. Their ending? Dear Lords and Ladies ... I am so glad I have learned to leave my sanity at the door because WOOF.
AND YET - I love having my heart and mind and morals and ethics twisted and turned like they've been tossed in a dryer with a bag of bricks.
As with all things A.X. Cole -
Bring on the carnage, bring on the twists, bring on the insanity.

wow. fucking WOW. This is my first book by Ax Cole and I'm stunned. I genuinely have no words for this hauntingly beautiful story. Auguste, Hana, they were amazing characters with so much depth and I can't WAIT to see what happens with them next.

Ax's writing was gorgeous, like, I'm in awe, and the way they wrote Auguste's trauma? It had me in tears. Auguste and Hana had me in tears. I'm feeling so many emotions with this and I regret finishing this.

Yes, the spice was certainly spicing but the depth between these two, the chemistry, they way they didnt try to fix each other but rather accepted darkness. I cant get over this, I really really can't.

So good! The Last Feast was the story of the the start of Hannah and Auguste. It leaves you on a bit of a cliffhanger if you wanna call it that. All I know is I can’t wait to see what happens next and by the ending you do know that something happens next it was amazing and I highly recommend you read it.
Hannah, her life has been full of trauma and abuse. She has been used by just about everyone she’s ever known and the same has happened for Auguste in similar but different circumstances. How they come together is fate.

Trick or Treat?!!!😈😈😈

The Last Feast is A.X. Cole's Treat right on time for Halloween season! If you're into some gory plea$ure, bl00dy chewing and have no triggers (like me) this book is definitively for you!

Let me start by saying that I absolutely loved our protagonists and the way they so insanely connected. Kindred minds think alike, even by innocence lost and self.
All aspcts of the story scream G.R.O.T.E.S.Q.U.E. in tone with the complete subversion of roles and senses as the Midas touch.

Hanna and Auggie/Jamie made perfect sense together, specially being from very different upbringings with an unfortunate clound of past trauma marring their lives and souls...feeling th⁸e same impotence, unfairness emptiness and that coiled rage that eats you ⁷jnside and gnaws deeply.

The end, I wasn't expecting and, apart from the Trick and Treat feature, the narrative objectively is the author throwing a bone, because.....why not?
It was a no-brainer, at least for me, the step A.X. Cole took into the er0tic h0rr0r genre, undoubtedly expectable really, but not without giving a soul to her characters and a past that links with her other works still ongoing and makes this another unique story inside a bigger one, with perspective and definition, and a great sense of empathy toward monsters created by monstrous people, making the readers very much engaged and rooting from the start yo ebd
At this time, we all want bl00d and revenge....

To be continued.....

This book is completely unhinged! There are very dark themes in this book so read the trigger warnings.
Hana and Auguste are two broken souls from two different lives with horror inflicted upon them during their young lives. Two separate paths in life converge over violence that seems to cleanse them and give hope for a future.
I’m honestly lost how to describe this book…tragically beautiful perhaps. I do know that I would have never guessed that whole ending. To see how intertwined these two strangers actually were.
Great spooky season read for those who crave the dark and twisted!

I did not expect that at all!! Holy moly I need the next book. This one is dark and different from what A.X. Cole has written before and I love it! Picture religion, but a dark back story with unhappy backstories. It's dark and there a lot a smut, not normal type smut. So please read the trigger warning. I'm not going to say much because it's short, but all those twist got my mouth wide open!!! Hana and Auguste have the same stories in different ways. I couldn't put this down at all and I have to know what happens next.

I loved having an unhinged FMC. The story itself was good, but I had trouble connecting with it for some reason, I don’t know if it was because of the unique writing and it being the first time I’ve read a POV like this. The spice was good, I’d give it 2/5 🌶️, the scenes were short and mildly descriptive. I’m not sure if I will continue the series, but I feel like people should give it a read and decide on their own. I appreciated the unique storyline and how the story is told, it might just not be for me!

What was this? What have I read? Mind-boggling. Ax Cole did it again, and I even told her how amazed I am by this story. I needed more of the main characters. I’ll be waiting for the next instalment of this gruesome story. This is short, fast-paced, with impactful content. At every stage, I was like What & how and with all that, I truly craved more of it. I was not ready for the end, and I have so many questions. I need my answers. Read triggers first and then only dive in. It is not for everyone, but definitely give it a try.

I really enjoyed this. The spice was so good and really dirty. A lot of the sex was different from what you usually see. O really liked the selection of trauma and how it shows how sex can be healing. Also how each character switched from being dominant and submissive, I love that. I really just wish the plot was a little more structured
