In 2136 Illinois, where dark alleys hum with neon and the air tastes of static, death isn’t always the end.
After Luke Tarkin publicly stabs himself, Feln Services hires freelance detective Archon Grey to prove their hands are clean. But in a city run by data streams and corporations, every fact is for sale.
Archon’s first mistake is accessing the victim’s cyberbrain. Now, the same virus that drove Luke to suicide is rewriting Archon’s thoughts, bending his will toward someone else’s design. Across the city, Luke’s reanimated body hunts for the virus’s creator, while corporate power brokers plot to weaponize the code for their own benefit.
As the code evolves, can Archon survive gangs, mercenaries and the slow erosion of his own mind, and strike an unlikely alliance to stop the virus before it's too late?
Mindjacker is my introduction to the Cyberpunk genre, and I can't wait to dive into more. The cast of characters is diverse and captivating, and the story kept me guessing the whole way. I couldn't wait to reach the end, and now I'm looking forward to seeing what comes next!
