It started with a viral attack, glass vials shattered in the heavily trafficked corridors of Grand Central Station. Within a month the virus was the deadliest attack the world had ever witnessed. But it was only the beginning. The survivors, what few remained of the planet's 7 billion, would come to realize the virus attack was the easy part; it killed outright, but the Blight was a different story altogether.
Good beginnings of a story, this book is short, but I could easily see it being a full length novel. The story is told by a young woman, or girl really, as she lives through an awful virus called the blight, she has lost her sister an now travels with Jimmy, trying to just survive. I found this o be a compelling read and only wish it was longer because there are a lot of interesting things going on and I think readers would like to know more about what happens.
Too bad this is so short. It's well written, and an interesting story. As long as you can keep up. This is one of those quick stories told by going forward and back to meet up in the now.
