This was a great book. I loved Natasha, especially the way she handled some members of the police force she was working alongside with when they didn’t take to kindly to her job. Natasha is clearly dedicated to her job. When they tried to pull her for her own safety she was adamant that she wanted to stay. I really love when a book has a strong female character. It’s refreshing to see a woman who can handle her own and stick up for herself.

It is fast-paced, with characters that are well-developed and detailed descriptions that easily have you watching this story in your mind as you are reading it. You can see the characters, and you have empathy for them. Well, some of them. Derik Ryder; not so much.

I almost chewed my fingernail off. Derik is one sick thing...I call him a thing because of what he does. He makes Hannibal look like a sweet little kitten.

This is not a standalone book you must read book # 1

In this book Natasha Stolt is trying to get into the mind of the serial killer named Grimm. Her partner, Giovanni Tagliente has something to hide. Natasha is being held captive by the monster of a man, but she sees something else in this man she calls Grimm than the horrible, human being the country seems to know him as.

Natasha is forced to look at herself and what she truly feels inside and what she really wants.
She has thoughts and feelings she would rather not admit she has, but can she control the monster known as Grimm?

This book is a heart-pounding adventure, it's full of twists and turns, it has its fair share of erotica. This is not your topical erotica story though. I didn’t get the first book, so I had a tough time following along initially, but once I got into it, I couldn’t put it down. I plan on going back and buying the first book while I am waiting on book 3 to come out so can find out what happens next. I highly recommend this book! I do suggest buying the first book so you know what is going on in book 2.

Psycho Romance!

My review of the first book in this series said there was no romance in it. This book has romance, but it's frickin crazy! There's not much I can say without spoiling it for others, but sheesh! Let's just say these characters are intense and hard to read considering the circumstances.

I would have given this book 5 stars because it kept my interest the entire time BUT the excessive use of exclamation points drove me bananas. Every inner thought the characters had ended in an exclamation point. The italics would've sufficed for most of the thoughts. The exclamations ruined the flow of reading at times, made it a little juvenile.

I recommend, but you have to read part 1 first. Great series!

I'm absolutely in love! *Spoilers**

I have read the first two in this series and loved them both. The continuation of this series is spot on. I have so many questions? Why does Tags son refer him to Uncle. Is Natasha infatuation with M/Grimm Stockholm syndrome or is she just as twisted? Is Derik falling for her or is she just truly a worthy adversary? I cannot wait for book 3! Keep email coming AJ! Well done!

This is book 2 in the trilogy series, Submit to Darkness, revolving around a serial killer, and the FBI agent attempting to capture him. This book is more about their meeting and becoming romantically involved rather than the killer’s murderous escapades.

Agent Natasha Stolt is attracted to “M” despite his gruesome behavior, and is forever questioning her reasoning for being drawn to the “man” while hating the “beast”. Yes, this is a spin off the fairytale Beauty and the Beast, and while I am certain some readers may roll their eyes and wonder how far fetched it is that a woman can want to become involved with a man who murders women and children in the most horrific of manners, I would question all of you, do we not do this ourselves on a daily basis only on a smaller scale?

How many of us continue to be attracted to our significant other, regardless, and in spite of their often questionable behavior? Do we not remain in relationships and marriages, despite our partners, cheating on taxes? Lashing out in anger? Flipping someone off in traffic? Telling a racist joke? Committing adultery? How many of us remain in harsher circumstances such as verbal, physical, or sexual abuse? How many of us love criminals and drug abusers? All the while still being attracted to our abuser and the one in our life who commits questionable acts?

I know I did for 26 years. It’s just an understandable aspect of human nature.

I continue to like the story and will read the third book to find out how the story concludes. I deducted one star because the book continues to have spelling and grammatical errors along with WAY too many explanation points that should not exist.
