I’m speechless. I was able to read this easily in one sitting and so surprised at all of the mystery, angst, violence and tension packed in this story.
A haunting paranormal misunderstanding that pulls these step siblings apart as much as it draws them together.

Trick or Treat? Or maybe a little of both! This novella is just the right size treat for Halloween wickedness.
Slight Spoilers throughout, but nothing with any sort of details.
The story is about Ada and her stepbrother Greyson. Both of them, unaware that their bond spans generations. On Ada’s 18th birthday, Greyson decides it is time to bond Ada to him in a most intimate way. Their coming together is like gasoline on a fire. It also settles something within each of them. But then Greyson does the unthinkable, and Ada runs away. Greyson feels betrayed, Ada feels betrayed. When Grayson’s father threatens him to stay away from Ada or else, Grayson resigns himself to his classes at Bartholomew University, while Ada attends an all girls university. However, Greyson is assured through the ghost that haunts his love, that their time will come.
The story opens at Bartholomew University, 3 years after Ada’s birthday. Due to an exorcism gone wrong, Ada is being sent to finish school here. She knows she will bump into her stepbrother, but is determined to keep him at arm’s length. However, Greyson and a certain poltergeist have other ideas.
Betrayals are dissected and revealed. Our couple come together in a pairing that will set your kindle on fire! They were always destined to be together.
Be mindful of trigger warnings. This is a dark romance and may give you nightmares or sweet dreams…look I am not judging 😂 There is a collection of stories by multiple authors that are set at Bartholomew University….it is called the Sinister Season.

I was lucky enough to read an earlier draft on this and I am soooo excited for it! I loved it! This one was so different from what I expected! Possession made me think demon, but nope! This is a dark book and if you have any triggers you should probably listen to the TW. I don’t have any, so I was good to go! I love a good dark romance and this was a really great one! Ada and Grayson were deliciously wicked together. The OW drama was there, but not truly central. It really focused on Grayson and Ada and where they began to where they are now. There was a great twist in there that kind of broke my heart at first, but then you learn their entire story from both POVs. I loved the way you get to see everything from each of their eyes and it really rounds out the story and adds something to it.
Excellent novella! V. Brown has another win here and while she doesn’t really write dark romances, she definitely doesn’t well and I would definitely read another one from her! I’d read pretty much anything by V. Brown, though!

loved this novella! The story follows Ada and Greyson who are step siblings and is set in a shared world of Bartholomew University a school for the rich, elite and supernatural.
The story follows Ada who is haunted by an unknown force and is transferred to Bartholomew university after an incident in her last university and this is where she's reunited with her step brother Greyson after being separated for 3 years.
I devoured this in one sitting and really loved the relationship between Ada and Greyson, the chemistry and spicy scenes between these two were 🔥 and they belonged together. I loved that we had POV from both of them of past events leading up to they're reunion.
Greyson is unapologetically psychotic and obsessed with Ava, I loved all the mystery and darkness in this novella and highly recommended it!

I loved this novella. Perfect for spooky season!
This novella is set in the shared world of Bartholomew University, and follows Ada and Greyson, step-siblings who have never really gotten past their attraction to one another. Ada has been haunted by an unknown entity since she was 16, and is reunited with Grayson after 3 years of separation.
This was such a good quick read. Ada and Greyson have a hate/love relationship, and it's hard not to like the tension between them. Greyson is obsessed with her, and Ada likes to pretend that she doesn't absolutely eat it up. Yet another novella that I wish was a full length novel because at the end I just wanted MORE. Loved it!

What a good short horottic novella!
I really enjoyed this one and it's dark undertones that seeped from the pages. Please read your trigger warnings before venturing into this book as it can be dark and triggering for some.

Loved it
Ada and Greyson were perfect for each other. I love how alpha Grey was and Ada was her own kind of crazy. Great read for Halloween 🎃 👻☠️💀😈
