Parker is out on a blind date when things take a turn. Now, on the run for his life, he flees through New Jersey’s Pine Barrens. But the woods aren’t empty, and whispers of a creature living within the trees are known by many. So when he ends up injured, and someone – or something – rescues him and begins taking care of him, Parker doesn’t know what to think. Because the monster isn’t really monstrous, and soon he finds himself drawn to the devil himself.
This was a cute romance between a human and a monster. I loved the stories of the Jersey Devil when I was younger, and the way the story of the devil was handled in this made me both sad for him and also question everything I thought I knew. Because what if the story of the Leeds monster wasn’t the truth? Fantastic novella with a sweet romance and a drop of spice, I will never stop recommending this series.

I suppose I shouldn’t expect much from a book subtitled “a badly written romance”.
