BRONWEN Five years stuck on this prison planet taught me one thing—everything here wants to kill you, so you'd better be the thing they fear most. Now a hulking Vinduthi warrior has crashed into my kingdom, all horns and fangs and delicious violence. He thinks he's rescuing me. Poor beast has no idea I'm the monster in this fairy tale.
ZAREK I came to this hellscape for revenge. Instead, I found her. Bronwen—soft where I'm scarred, smiling where I snarl. She walked into a death trap, whistled once, and sent the beasts that were tearing me apart slinking back into the dark. Then she offered me a her secrets for passage off-world.
Because when a scarred alien beast meets a sunshine psycho with murder on her mind, the only question is who claims who first.
Reader, dreamer and frantic scribbler. I really do believe that love conquers all... and make terrible things for my characters to survive to prove it! (insert evil laugh here)
A highly entertaining romance with a grumpy MMC and a psycho/sunshine FMC
Bronwen is a human escaped prisoner who has survived for five years on a deadly prison planet. She has mastered the terrain, learned the language of the local wild beasts, and is effectively the apex predator of her "kingdom." She is incredibly intelligent and determined to get off the planet and finish what she started when she was sent away. She is also a little psycho and is fascinated by the mechanics of violence and finds beauty in it.
Zarek crashes onto the planet on a mission of revenge and to retrieve a relic; he has no idea what he is in for when it comes to Bronwen. Watching her flip the damsel-in-distress script and use her dark intelligence to outsmart the enemy was magnificent. Zarek and Bronwen are perfect together and completely support each other's quest for revenge.
A brilliant, dark, and thrilling addition to the Vinduthi Stolen Brides series! If you like your sci-fi romance unhinged, dangerous, and with a truly powerful FMC, this book is for you.
Dark, funny, and sizzling hot — Bronwen and Zarek are absolute chaotic perfection.
Bronwen is hands-down one of my fave heroines — mostly because she’s a little psychotic, slightly unhinged and completely brilliant. Stranded on a deadly prison planet, she hasn’t just survived… she’s basically running her own twisted nature documentary, studying predators while scaring the life out of anyone who crosses her.
Enter Zarek, broody Vinduthi warrior on a revenge mission. He thinks he’s rescuing her, but really? She’s the one saving him. Their banter crackles, their chemistry is 🔥, and watching them flip the damsel-in-distress script is so much fun.
Ava York nailed it — action, chaos, romance, and just the right amount of unhinged. Loved every page!

Ava York's Alien Devil's Wrath is a symphony of beautiful violence against those who have wronged warrior Zarek, stand in the way of his retrieving the second relic, and try to harm the human escaped prisoner Bronwen. What a complete berzerker he becomes when threatened! She is an amazing woman who has survived on a wasted prison planet, learning the language of the local wild beasts, enabling the two to navigate the harsh terrain. When his body nearly fails after an intense 18 hour constant battle, she takes over as his love bite has transformed her into the ultimate killing machine. This book literally kicks ass!
Had to stop for a bit and skim through a few parts. Basically two beings that that have twisted priorities and feelings or lack of them for killing and violence. Not clear about what is reason he is searching for artifacts or their purpose. Or how she became slave to owner that sent her to prison planet. Suspended my natural dislikes and skepticism. Though I did not like the couple the author created couple that was twisted and suited for each other. Rating was for her skill and specifically the way the woman used her skills she learned from survival of her past situations to adapt and survive on planet that many do not
His Beautiful Psychopath What a brilliantly dark and dangerous book. I loved Bronwen and Zarek's story from start to finish. A great twist on the Vinduthi being the most dangerous predator out there. Bronwen has survived 5 years on the prison planet - coming up with very imaginative (and dark) solutions to dangerous problems. She and Zarek have to trust each other so that his mission and her desire for revenge can come to fruition. Magnificent and scary throughout.
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC and am happily leaving a review.
Not all soft and innocent. Borowen is ruthless violent and bent on revenge. This was an Interesting turn for the human woman. She is close to being a psychopath but with honorable intentions. Great twist
