Alter weißer Mann, grauenhafte Aneinanderreihung von Klischees über die Schönheiten Italiens. Nach 20% weggelegt.

En feelgoodbok, som jag ändå inte riktigt gillade. Handlar om Rickard, som trots att han är lyckad och framgångsrik inte känner sig lycklig. Han åker till Toscana, reser runt bland vingårdar och träffar Alessia. Omvärderar sitt liv och vad som är viktigt. Tror att detta är författarens skönlitterära debut. Boken har för många superlativ, för att bli trovärdig. Allt är fantastiskt, underbart, makalöst i Toscana. Jag vet inte hur många gånger jag läser att maten Rickard just har ätit eller vinet han precis har druckit är det godaste han någonsin fått. Det blir lite känsla av en novell i en veckotidning. Dock med en spännande avslutning av historien.

The story felt flat. Not enough character depth. What made it so hard to stick with was the AI narration of the audio book. First AI narration for me. Could not distinguish who was speaking. No change of cadence. It just ran together. Read like a lecturer. Could have been 3 stars if I read physical book but I’m not even sure about that. Boring.

Älskar denna bok! Den har allt vad feelgood handlar om… det finns ett djup och många tänkvärda frågeställningar och är inte förutsägbar.. Läs den!!
