I loved this book! The stories and pictures took me to a cabin in the woods. Those in the snow covered forest were my favorites, but the brooks and deer were icing on the cake. Creatures of the woods do indeed nourish my soul and comfort me. Being on Mt. Rainier is where I feel closest to God. I felt I was there while reading this book from the comfort of my couch. Nature has so much to teach us if we only take the time to listen. God speaks to me through animals, so I felt a kinship to the author.
