True story: I used to cut up bodies. No, not for fun, you sickos–for work. After reaching the age of majority and fleeing the clutches of an overprotective mother, I went to university like a good boy.

More than a decade later and an alphabet soup of letters after my name, I found myself looking down the double-chamber of a microscope at an eyeball. Feeling ironically introspective, I decided that it was time for a change.

After seventy plus novels and more than a million copies sold, I’ve found my true calling, one that also includes a plethora of letters. Hopefully you see something in my catalog that you like, something to feast your eyes on.

I also have two spooky podcasts that are appropriate for ALL ages, so long as you like to be scared: P.T. Logan's Five Minutes of Terror and Camp Fear. Both are FREE and available on all podcast platforms. For MATURE audiences, I've created two fiction podcasts, Nightmare Residue and Bad Priest.

First of all: did this book not undergo ANY editorial work?! The sloppy writing and countless grammatical errors were awful.

So many clichés it was painful to finish. An extremely cynical young white, good looking man work as an FBI agent who "plays on the edge" and goes against everything his boss tells him to do? Yeah, heard that one before. An even younger, even more beautiful white woman gets her first assignment and is paired up with this washed up agent to solve a crime, and then they just click in every possible way and find trust between each other instantly? Yeah, heard that one before too.
Also almost DNF:d this because, as a previous reviewer also wrote, I got sick and tired of how many times the protagonist describes people as fat, lazy, generally disgusting. Cudos to the author for throwing blatant fatphobia, shallow behaviours and the obvious anti-woke agenda bullshit into the novel too.

I don't find it fun to write negative reviews, but it truly baffles me how this book has so many 4-5 star reviews.

The Striker and Frost series is an FBI Crime Thriller and while this is the first full-length audiobook, I highly recommend beginning with Tell Me Where The Sandman Sleeps as it tells us about Con’s sister going missing and the case that made Striker a notorious FBI Agent.

Tell Me Where She’s Buried takes place a decade after Tell Me Where the Sandman Sleeps, and Con Striker is frankly a mess. He drinks too much, his marriage has fallen apart, his boss wants him gone; and Con is obsessed with finding out where the Sandman buried her body. So far, the Sandman has refused to talk. Con doesn’t work well with others, and when he is assigned a new agent to assist him on a pirating case, he treats the guy like shit and gets him transferred.

Enter, rookie agent Alex Frost. Frost just passed her exams and is thrilled to be partnered with Con Striker. Her boss, however, wants her to spy on him and update him to oust him. The tale that unfolds marks the beginning of their partnership and the anniversary of Valerie Striker’s disappearance.

Agent Striker was tenacious when we met him in Tell Me Where the Sandman Sleeps, so I had to come to terms with the mess of a man we meet. The tale started off slow until Frost appeared, and then things sped up and pulled me in.

We’ve got several case threads. The one they are assigned regarding a Hollywood movie production company whose films keep ending up on piracy sites. Then we have the case Striker is obsessed with, his missing sister. Striker suffers from guilt regarding Valerie, and it’s caused his life to unravel, but Frost slowly helps him pull things together even as he spirals out of control. Plenty of twists regarding both cases made for some intense moments as we saw the beginning of this dynamic team forming a bond.

Rick Adamson narrates, and while the change in narrator threw me in the beginning, I felt he did a great job of giving voice to both Striker and Frost. The story lends itself perfectly to the audio format, and listening enhanced my overall enjoyment. This review was originally posted at Caffeinated Reviewer

2.5 Estrellas!

I would have given this book five stars were it not for the lack of proofreading. There were many misspelled words and formatting errors that should have been caught in editing. That said, the story itself rocks. To say that Con Striker is a flawed individual is a massive understatement. He is obsessed with finding the body of his sister who was supposedly murdered eleven years earlier by The Sandman, a serial killer. He has burned through a dozen partners. His wife is leaving him and he drinks heavily. He is also a legend within the FBI for bringing down The Sandman.
In this book, Con and his new partner, Alex Frost, are tasked with investigating pirated movies. It seems like a pud case until it isn't.
I like these two characters and I want to read the rest of the series.

I feel like this book had potential but it fell very flat for me. The main character Con was hard to like and I feel like Alex carried the story. I didn’t find the story super engaging either but I did finish in the hopes of answers (which we don’t get in this book).

I first read the prequel to this a couple of months ago and was absolutely thrilled with it. When I finally started reading "Tell Me Where She's Buried" I was slightly disappointed, as it started off a bit slow. But, by about the halfway point suddenly it takes a turn, and boy, buckle up for a wild ride with lots of twists and turns along the way. I'm glad I stuck with it.

Logan again delivers another gripping psychological thriller that keeps readers on edge. With its dark, atmospheric storytelling and relentless suspense, Logan masterfully weaves a tale of obsession, secrets, and shocking twists. The protagonist Con's descent into paranoia and fear is skillfully written, making the tension almost unbearable in the best way possible. Glad to see the author introduce a new character (Alex) as she seems to balance Con's weaknesses. Fans of chilling mysteries and psychological depth will find this book impossible to put down. A must-read for thriller lovers!

An unputdownable thriller… This follows Constantine Striker, the FBI agent that became BIG news because he helped put away The Sandman - a notorious serial killer. The only problem is The Sandman will not tell Con where his sister is buried. You see, she was one of The Sandman’s victims; she has never been found. This lack of closure has weighed heavily on Con and he falters through his day, his job, his marriage… until he is given a new partner. His new partner gives him the spark he has been missing!

When I tell you this book scared the bejesus out of me…!!! I read it at night and there was definitely a night where I freaked myself out so bad reading it before bed! I liked the characters. I liked the cases Con and his partner worked. And there is definitely more to this duo in sequels that I will absolutely pick up.

Found 3 typos is my only complaint. Please hire me to proofread your books, people.

Despite having some interesting elements, the textual problems alone deserved a better editor. I'm really surprised at the number of enthusiastic reviews. Conrad Striker is pretty unrelatable, but I'll admit that Alex Frost has a much more sensible and likable personality.
Not that I know much about the FBI, but having Con leading a successful case on a serial killer at 24 seems far-fetched. Unable to set aside my disbelief about much of the novel.

Great story, mediocre writing

While this was a great story in terms of character growth and plot, the writing was mediocre at best. The errors in spelling, wrong words, incomplete sentences, and plot errors (using wrong names for example) was greatly distracting. I pushed through the errors because I did enjoy the plot and wanted to know how it would end, but was not able to enjoy it to the full extent.

I really liked the sarcasm and humor of the main character Con. I found myself laughing out loud many times.

I enjoyed this author’s writing style but the proofreading of this book sucked. 🤔

Regardless, it did not stop me from thoroughly eating up this book in one day!

I am thrilled to have found another author that I will be spending more time with!!

Off to get lost in Tell Me What You’ve Done…

Truly couldn’t be happier that i finished this book. Terrible way to kick off the reading in 2025. I judged the book by its cover and thought it wld be spooky and cool but it truly was the most boring slow book that I’ve ever read. Also just like didn’t care about the topics or characters and it was just not good. Totally put me into a reading funk - please drop recs to get me back into the reading flow 😫😫🙏🙏

Really exciting book. Loved all the characters. They had such heart for their jobs and you could tell they really cared about people.. The book was good and exciting and I didn’t want to put it down, but it sure could’ve used some proofreading. Lots of misspelled words and wrong words in the sentence. And I don’t see the need for all the foul language that was in it. It would’ve been just go to story without it.

Who really is responsible?

Excellent crime fiction thriller by Patrick Logan. If you think the thrillers you are reading are a bit too slow, then Patrick Logan is your solution. Tell Me Where She's Buried had me guessing until the last page.

A Trigger Warning for graphic content and language but otherwise you'll enjoy a boatload of chills and thrills coming at you 90 miles an hour. I also give the author a big kudo for a strong, positive female protagonist.

Awesome storyline

I love the fact that you make the characters so real. The fact that you show Con falling apart when he is sure that he has seen his sister after all those years of thinking she's dead brings a whole new look to his character. How would we feel if faced with that same scenario? Please keep writing and I will keep reading!

This was excellent. On one side my heart breaks for Con but on the other I want to slap him and tell him to snap out of it. His life has been ruined by this obsession. I love Agent Frost. She's smart and tough and really good for Con. The one character I don't like and there's always one is their boss.
Moving onto the next in series.

Interesting Characters

The writing in this book kept this reader interested until the end. An older FBI agent named Con is paired with a new agent named Alex. Con has gone through many partners, but finally he starts to trust Alex. Solving their first crime together quickly becomes very complicated.

I wish I could give 3 1/2 stars. The pairing of Agents Striker and Frost worked well. I liked the story line and the background story of the missing sister is not resolved which leads me to wanting to read more from this author. My only complaint was notable errors- Agent Constantine “Con” Striker was referred to as Colin in a few places. A few grammatical errors too. Otherwise a good read.

I thought the other reviews that commented on all the errors in grammar etc were exaggerating, but no, it’s as if this book was never proofread. I wanted to go through with a highlighter, but every other page would have been marked up…

The story itself was popcorn. Easily digested, but fairly forgettable afterwards. Lot of the crime cliches were utilised, and fairly misogynistic in parts tbh.

The start to another great series

Once again Patrick Logan hit it out of the park. I can’t wait to continue this series. I particularly love the fact that he brought back a character from another series and mentioned Chase Adams as well. I am going to enjoy reading about this new partnership.

The ending seemed so random and inconclusive, like it was written just to be done with and not for any real reason. Other aspects of the book were alright, not amazingly written but decent enough to follow along. The ending just really didn’t do anything for me and made me drop my ratings for sure.

Where is my sister?

Con was not functioning at his best after his twin sister disappeared. His focus was finding her alive or her body. The murderer he suspected and almost killed when Con apprehended him denied killing her. Very interesting storyline, intense interactions with his new partner, and the mystery of the missing sister keeps your eyes glued to the book.

I had to DNF after a few chapters. The editing in this book is god awful, grammatical errors for days and some character’s names even change which is unreal. The prequel was like this as well but I was hoping the actual series would be better.
The story in itself seemed interesting but I could not get past the errors.

This book took me FOREVER to get into. I would read a chapter and stop, start another book, finish that one, come back to this one, read another chapter, start another book, and so on…

Once Agent Frost came into the picture it was much better. Her wits and intelligence made the book more interesting. Otherwise, I would not have finished it.
