Tawfiq al-Hakim or Tawfik el-Hakim (Arabic: توفيق الحكيم‎ Tawfīq al-Ḥakīm) was a prominent Egyptian writer. He is one of the pioneers of the Arabic novel and drama. He was the son of an Egyptian wealthy judge and a Turkish mother. The triumphs and failures that are represented by the reception of his enormous output of plays are emblematic of the issues that have confronted the Egyptian drama genre as it has endeavored to adapt its complex modes of communication to Egyptian society.

مشكلتي مع هذه المسرحية تصوير ملك الموت بصورة ساخرة سخيفة وكذلك تصور أن النساء لا تسامح ولا تغفر قط ولاكن غير ذلك فإن المسرحية جميل ولا كن ليست أفضل ما قرأت الحكيم بطبع ولكنها جميلة أن كان إنسان يسطيع تقبول أسلوب الحكيم

مجموعة رائعة
وكعادة أي عمل للمفكر العظيم ، أنتهي منه في اليوم الذي بدأته فيه .

ينتظر محمود الزوج الموت ويشعر إنه يملك القليل من الوقت وتصبره زوجته حميدة بان صحته سوف تتحسن بينما يتناقشان يدخل عليهم محصل يصر على مقابلة الزوج لأمر هام وضرورى ،هل سيموت حقا أم تتغير الأمور؟؟
