YOU CAN OUTRUN A MONSTER. YOU CAN’T OUTRUN A DEMON DISGUISED AS A GOD They took my name first. Then my face.
I was brought here to pay for sins that were never mine. Traded, reshaped, and punished until the woman I used to be is completely erased.
They say I look like her. They demand that I become her; become a living ghost. And when I fail, they remind me what happens to replacements that don’t fit their requirements.
For a long time, I believe there is only one man doing this. His cruelty and obsession simply wearing different moods like a living god who punishes and absolves at whim.
By the time I learn the truth, that there are in fact two of them, that they are twins, it’s already too late. I no longer remember who I was before they remade me.
And I don’t know if that loss terrifies me…or if surrendering to it is the only way I can survive.

🎧JUNIPER REYES - where have you been hiding? I have not had the pleasure of hearing your butter-like voice, but now that I have - I want more of it! Leandra could not have been voiced by anyone else I feel that in my bones. Look forward hearing more of your beautiful voice
🎧JOE ARDEN - It has been a long while since I was blessed with the sound of your voice and unhinged laughter… oh how I have missed it so. As always you manage to make me forget the world and live in the one you lend your voice to. I think you, sir. From the bottom of my darken soul.
📚 ELLIE SANDERS - I did not have the pleasure of the other books before this one. But I LOVE YOUR MIND. I know they say, “Don’e judge a book by its cover,” that being said, I judged the shit out of this cover and the cover (plus of course Joe Arden) made my brain tickle! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!
Holy Hannah what did I just read?!?! If you are looking for a super dark (I said SUPER DARK more like Pitch Black) spicy romance that will wreck you completely & make you squirm a little give this bad boy a read….but be warned: check out the trigger/content warning pages before you pick it up….yes, pages….I always go in blind because I rarely trigger but parts of this book got me….if I could jump in the book & get my hands on Ines it would have been on like donkey Kong…between her & Konstatine I don’t know which was worse….oh & those two weren’t even the main characters….Lazarus & Leandra had a rough go of it….both strong willed but everyone in their life (except his Dad & her Mom) were out to tear them both to the ground….together they were a force…..were the both a little or a lot messed up….uh yeah but with the lives they had & the things they went through who wouldn’t
DECIMATION is The Brethren Lords book 5. And as we have come to expect… Its Pitch black. Its Twisted. Its Brutal. Its Obsessive and its Completely unhinged. And when i finished i was like well… THAT was an experience!
Ellie Sanders really looked at the previous books in this series and thought ‘You know what? Let’s make it even darker.’ and somehow… she did…again!
Decimation is PITCH BLACK. This isn’t a dark romance with a few questionable bits thrown in, no… this is disturbingly brutal with psychologically intense and completely unapologetic moments and yet I could not put it down.
So… Lazarus. Ohhh, Lazarus. This man is SERIOUSLY messed up. He is cold, ruthless, controlling and deeply immersed in the twisted world of the Brethren. He has spent years believing in duty, bloodline, loyalty and the rules that control his world. Until Leandra happens!! Watching this terrifying and broken man slowly have those walls cracked open was exactly what i needed with such a dark book. He doesn’t suddenly become a good man. Let’s be very clear about that… as with most of Ellie Sanders men… they aren’t redeemable, just tolerated and ‘them’… He’s still a monster.
But Leandra brings something human back out of him and watching his obsession develop into something deeper was absolutely fascinating and terrifying in equal measure. And when Lazarus finally allows himself to FEEL? Yeah… that got me.. why do i always fall for these men???
Ok… Leandra! She is one tough FMC… i mean seriously! She has endured things that would break most people and yet there is still so much strength underneath regardless of everything she’s been through. She is damaged, angry, frightened and complicated but she keeps fighting! I really enjoyed watching her slowly begin to reclaim pieces of herself and discover that she isn’t simply the person other people have decided she should be.
The Brethren Lords, well nobody in this world needs therapy more than these people. The story keeps peeling back layers of this incredibly twisted world, while we get more of Lazarus, Konstantine, Ezekiel and the history behind the Brethren, this book like the others gives us… Secret societies. Bloodlines. Religious fanaticism. Power struggles. Betrayal. Violence AND Revenge. There were moments where I genuinely had to sit there and process what I’d just read. And then, obviously, I turned the page… because of course I needed to know what happened next.
This is NOT a healthy relationship. At all. But if you read pitch black romance and enjoy morally black characters, obsession, possessiveness and relationships that exist firmly outside the boundaries of normal… this series and Lazarus and Leandra are compelling as hell. Their relationship is messy, brutal and deeply complicated but there is something incredibly powerful about two very damaged people finding something resembling safety and love in each other. (If you can label it that) however Lazarus goes from ‘I don’t need anyone’ to ‘I will protect this woman at any cost.’ And apparently I am extremely susceptible to that particular brand of insanity.
And that ending… No spoilers… but that final stretch had me completely hooked and satisfied.
Again… There is darkness. There is violence. There is revenge. There is obsession. There is heartbreak. And somehow, underneath all of that chaos there is also a little glimpse of hope… Which honestly surprised me! Cause this is the kind of book where you finish it and think ‘What on earth did I just read?’… and then realise you absolutely loved the journey.
Ellie Sanders has created a world filled with people who are quite frankly, varying degrees of terrifying and somehow she still manages to make me care about them… i really need to reflect on that!
Decimation was brutal... Disturbing... Emotional... Twisted... and Completely unhinged. And I was hooked… sooooo if pitch black dark romance is your thing, this series absolutely belongs on your TBR, it has from me 5 beautifully messed up stars and 5 for darkness and 4 spicy chills! As always… its a ride from Ellie Sanders!
NOTE: Please read the author’s content warnings before starting. This book contains extremely dark themes, including sexual violence, abuse, coercion, torture, kidnapping, psychological manipulation, murder, religious/cult themes and other potentially triggering content.
When the ARC for Decimation landed, I did what any perfectly rational person would do… I stopped adulting, cancelled all unnecessary responsibilities, downloaded it immediately, and 24 hours later emerged from my Kindle looking like one of Ellie’s heroines who’s had her brain completely rewired.
I genuinely think Ellie chose the title Decimation for a reason because that’s exactly what she did to her readers.
Holy hell. What the fuckery fuck, Ellie?!
Before you’ve even read the first chapter, you’re hit with a dedication that perfectly sets the tone:
“For all those readers who looked at the devil, saw sin dressed up as salvation, and spread your legs for him anyway…”
At that point I laughed and thought, “Oh… this is going to be one of those books.”
Then came three pages of trigger warnings that looked longer than my Tesco receipt (Walmart, for my American friends!), followed by an author’s note politely suggesting some readers might want to skip one of the opening chapters.
That’s when I realised…
I wasn’t reading a book.
I was signing a waiver.
And then Ellie completely pulled the rug out from under me.
The first 120 pages alone had me questioning absolutely everything. Every time I thought I’d figured someone out… plot twist. Every time I thought I’d found solid ground… another plot twist. I gave up trying to predict what was coming because Ellie was always five steps ahead.
This isn’t simply dark romance.
This is pitch black romance. The kind of book where the trigger warnings genuinely matter, and I cannot stress enough that readers should check them before diving in.
What has always impressed me about The Brethren Lords series is that beneath all the darkness is an incredibly intricate story, and Decimation is the perfect example of that. Every reveal feels earned. Every secret matters. Threads from across the series come together in ways that left me genuinely speechless.
I’ve never hated, loved, questioned, forgiven and side-eyed so many characters in a single book. The emotional whiplash is relentless, and somehow Ellie makes every single moment feel necessary.
Did I make the mistake of reading certain scenes over dinner?
Yes.
Would I recommend that life choice?
Absolutely not.
This is, without question, my favourite book of the entire series. Not because it’s the darkest (although it’s certainly competing for that title), but because it’s the most satisfying. Ellie wraps up The Brethren Lords with confidence, intelligence and emotional impact, delivering a finale that exceeded every expectation I had.
After weeks of joking about The Brethren Lords Survival Guide, I can officially confirm…
There is no survival guide.
There is only Ellie Sanders.
An unforgettable finale that will stay with me for a very, very long time.
Thank you to the author and her PA for the ARC copy to read a review. As always this is my honest review. (Sadly, I forgot to post my review before release day) 🤦♀️
I give this book a overall 5⭐ A spice rating of 4🌶️

TROPES: 🖤 Forced Proximity 💀 Secret Society 🖤 Pitch Black 💀 Unhinged Morally Gray MMC 🖤 Forced Marriage 💀 Stockholm Syndrome
WOW...OMG...WTF...THERE'S NO F'ING WAY... WAIT WHAT... a few thoughts as i was reading. In my opinion, Ellie is the Queen of this pitch black, unhinged, unredeemable, walking red flag MMC'S that you just can't stop reading and thinking about. This series is MY ROMAN EMPIRE, so back off and I will absolutely take no criticism on. 😂😂 I think a re-read of all the books back to back needs to happen...🤔
ANWAYS... back to the review.
The amount of trauma Leandra (FMC) and Lazarus (MMC) went through in this book...holy freaking moly. The relatable feelings I had with both characters is pretty insane, but yet healing. Yes, healing. This hit hard... "Love doesn't excuse breaking promises. that doesn't excuse abandoning responsibility."
Ma'am, we need to have a conversation about this... 😂😂 The Bone of her bone, flesh of her flesh, with the union of flesh and joining of bodies part is STILL living rent free in my head... IYKYK
I wanted to gag everytime Ines was mentioned, along with her pathetic husband Konstantine. His grotesque obession with Ines... How could you let your wife do what she did, being okay with it, and at times present. They deserved each other in their disgustingness... well and their ultimate demise.
I loved the fact that in the end, revenge was done, changes were made to get rid of the darkness that haunted the space. In no way shape or form do any of these books have HEA, but this ending would the the closest, in my opinion.
I feel like out of all the couples in the series my favorite are Lazarus and Leandra. The truly love each other in all their faults and trauma (though it took her a little longer to realize it). Out of all the unhinged, unredeemable, walking red flag MMC'S in this series...Lazarus would be my fictional boyfriend. 😂😂
QUOTES: 𓂃🖊 "Goodbye to the girl I was, goodbye to the hope of a love that doesn't leave scars."
𓂃🖊 "Because you are the most dangerous thing I've ever seen."
𓂃🖊 "Lick it all up like a good f*cking pet would."
𓂃🖊 "And that look in his eyes- he looks like the devil come to claim my soul."
𓂃🖊 "I am consuming my own violation, and calling it communion."
I genuinely don’t even know where to start with this book because I was so invested from beginning to end. First of all, Lazarus and Leandra. I loved them. Like genuinely LOVED them. Lazarus is a sweet baby angel and I will accept no arguments on this matter. 😂 He was easily one of my favorite characters in this entire series, and I loved Leandra just as much. Their story had everything I wanted from a Brethren Lords book while still feeling completely different from the others, and I was SO happy that these two finally got their happy ending… if that’s what we can call it lol.
One of my favorite things about this series has always been how interconnected everything is, and Decimation made all of that payoff so worth it. After spending this many books in this world and getting attached to everyone, I loved seeing more of the pieces come together and getting those little moments and connections that mean so much more because you’ve read the entire series. And somehow Ellie STILL managed to shock me. There were multiple times I had to stop and just stare at my Kindle for a second because excuse me??? I thought I knew where we were going and apparently I did not lol.
Obviously, this series is DARK dark, and Decimation is no exception, so please actually read the trigger warnings before going into it. But if you’ve made it this far into the Brethren Lords series, you probably already know exactly what you’re getting yourself into. I love that every book has managed to feel different while still being part of the same world, and this one might honestly be one of my favorites.
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of Decimation, and I absolutely devoured it. Lazarus and Leandra completely stole this book for me, and I was nowhere near ready to be done with them when it ended. I’m just happy my sweet baby angel Lazarus got his version of happily ever after, even if the Brethren Lords definition of “happily ever after” is a little questionable. 😂🖤
I honestly don't even know where to start with this book because, after reading Conrad's and Antonio's books, I didn't know what to expect from this one. (Ok, I was kind of expecting the H to cut the h in half :)) relax! He didn't, not really :))) But as usual, it completely took me by surprise!
Although I think this might be the darkest book in the series (and it's really, really difficult to decide which one is the darkest), Lazarus completely stole the show for me and is now my favorite H. Don't get me wrong—he's definitely not all hearts and flowers, but he's different, and I loved that about him. As much as Leandra goes through absolute hell, Lazarus's own journey isn't all that different, and I think that made their story even more compelling.
I also loved the way Ellie wrapped up the grand finale of the series. While I was secretly hoping all the Lords would get a different ending, this one felt satisfying in its own way.
I don't want to say much more because this book is genuinely too good to spoil. It ties everything together beautifully, but the road to get there is bumpy, heartbreaking, and full of twists.
Did I love every pitch-dark page? Yep. I devoured every single one of them and still wanted more. And guess what? Ellie doesn't disappoint because the ending leaves us with some amazing little glimpses of what's coming next, and let me tell you—I am already counting the days.
P.S. It is almost 2 AM, so if my review doesn't make much sense, blame it on the lack of sleep...
This is a PITCH BLACK story. Let me preface this by saying this is NOT a romance. It’s an erotic horror and there are LOTS of traumatic themes, including SA and religious trauma. It was devastating from start to almost finish. I. Loved. This. Story. 😭🖤
The FMC is sold at 18 to a man in a religious-type group. She experiences so much pain and torture, but her spirit NEVER breaks. She has these tiny pockets of hope for a different life, only to have them ripped away again and again. UGH. The heartbreak I felt reading this. 😭 The MMC is a twin and the spare to the “empire.” He has endured his own traumas and times as a captive. He’s cunning and VERY patient, but he’s also so deeply indoctrinated in their beliefs that I wanted to scream at him at times. When these two finally meet, I thought maybe things would finally get better…NOPE. It was just more pain.
I really don’t want to give away too much because this story was so phenomenally written and performed that you NEED to experience it for yourself. The strength it took for this man to fight for the future he envisioned for them was everything!! Watching these two claw their way toward something better after everything they endured absolutely destroyed me.
Juniper Reyes and Joe Arden blew my mind with this performance. 😭🖤🖤🖤 They brought every ounce of darkness, pain and emotion to these characters and I was completely wrecked.
If you love a hard-fought HEA, dark DARK themes, a man who will burn the world down for his woman and a strong-as-hell FMC who refuses to break…ADD THIS TO YOUR TBR. 🖤🔥
I was given this series as a suggestion when I needed something to get lost in, and that’s exactly what happened. I would finish one and immediately read the next one. I hunted down the books not offered on Amazon and bought them to read. This series has become, by far, one of my favorites.
What that says about me is for someone else to decipher, it’s none of my concern 🤷♀️
Now for Decimation specifically… I don’t know that I even have the words for how finishing this book feels.
First, I actually really loved both main characters equally. And I know that sounds insane because most of the MMCs in this series are deplorable and are meant to be. This one was different for me, and I know exactly why but I won’t spoil it by saying.
This book rounded out the series in a perfect way, we got some answers we didn’t previously have.. and some of the layers of this world were peeled back for us.
Ellie, I genuinely thank you for this series. It was awful and wonderful and beautiful and sad. It made me feel all the things and I really think that is what makes a book, or series, really stand out.
I’m sad to leave the Brethren Lords behind, but I’m equally thankful that I got to experience this world.
Right when you think things couldn’t get darker. Ellie opened the fkning pit.
From the 3 page trigger warning list to reminder of the ending of an era. My little black heart felt a little bluer but also a little more satisfied with how things flowed from start to finish.
Now please understand as much as I’d love to go into great detail, a book such as this is not one to take lightly and due to the graphic nature. It makes it rather hard to give my full honesty open opinion. WITHOUT getting into trouble. 🫣
BUT What I can say is if you are looking at this book i am assuming that means you have read her other books. And if that is in fact the case then you will know her books are dark, pitch black, void of emotion and straight depraved.
This one… takes the cake. This is the darkest book she in my opinion has come out with and though a lot of things do not affect me. This one took me out of the game. I had moments I had to set the book down and touch grass just to remind myself that this is just a book.
She wanted to go out with a bang on the name of the brethren lords and I do believe she wrote a book that will stick with me for a long time and a long with many others.
Decimation is the fifth book in the Brethren Lord series, and just like the previous books, we are firmly in pitch-black territory. 😅
If you're thinking about starting this series, please read the trigger warnings first. The MMCs in this series are one more unhinged than the next, and this book definitely doesn't hold back either.
This time we follow Leandra and Lazarus, and oh boy… these two have been through A LOT. Some of the things they endure are honestly beyond words. Their story is dark, brutal, and incredibly intense.
One of my favorite things about this series is how the timelines continue to intertwine. You immediately recognize events and characters from the previous books, and all those little pieces you've been carrying in the back of your mind suddenly come together again. It makes the entire series feel like one big, twisted story.
I was completely hooked and couldn't put it down. The tension, the darkness, the interconnected storyline… everything kept pulling me further in.
And honestly? This felt like the cherry on top of the series. 🍒🖤
What a way to bring this story together. Absolutely twisted, addictive, and gloriously pitch black.
Honestly, Decimation is hands down the best book in the Brethren Lords series for me. Ellie Sanders really saved the most twisted, disturbing, and utterly addictive experience for last. 😮💨🖤
The darkness, the obsession, the psychological torment, the sheer depravity of it all… I was completely consumed. There was something so deeply unsettling about this story, yet I couldn't look away. The atmosphere was pitch-black, the characters were absolutely unhinged, and the twists kept me questioning everything. 🩸🖤
And those twins?! The whole dynamic was beyond messed up in the best possible way. The manipulation, identity loss, obsession, and the feeling of being trapped made this one of the most intense books I've read in the series. 😵💫
After Deviant, Depravity, Degradation, and Deprivation, I genuinely didn't think Ellie could take things any further but she proved me wrong. This was darker, more disturbing, and somehow even more addictive.
Everything I wanted from the final book. Everything. 🖤
Ellie Sanders, you absolutely understood the assignment. Decimation was perfection in darkness. 🖤🔥
What a WILD ride The Brethren Lords series has been, and Decimation absolutely LEFT NO CRUMBS. 💥🖤
When I closed this book, all I could think was, WHAT A WAY TO END A SERIES. Job well done, Ellie. 👏🏻
It was dark, twisted, and packed with jaw-dropping moments that had me sitting there like… I cannot believe that just happened. 😳🤣 I especially loved how scenes and moments from the previous books tied into this one. Give me those full-circle moments EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. 🤌🏻
And after finishing? The MMC officially earned himself a spot alongside Devin on my “okay, I actually like you” list. 😂 Meanwhile, Magnus, Antonio, and Conrad can STILL kick rocks. The hate remains strong. 🤣🖕🏻
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ FIVE STARS
Ellie brings the darkness every damn time, and I will ALWAYS welcome it. 🖤
If you like your books PITCH BLACK, your MMCs unredeemable, your plots completely twisted, and the fuckery turned up to a 10 from page one… welcome to The Brethren Lords.
Enter at your own risk. 😈 You will NOT be disappointed. 💥🖤
Oh my god how am I ever going to get over this book hangover?! This was by far one of my favorite series and I did not want it to end. I thought we saw through a historical lens how men have treated women for ages. After the news broke on the trafficking rings I think it’s very possible some of the dangerous organizations like the Brethren can exist.
While all of Ellie’s books are dark and twisted (eye removal is one of her favorite methods) this didn’t seem overall too bad. I don’t know if I’m desensitized now but it was probably the only f*cked up HEA we had in all of the couples.
Leandra is one tough cookie. The things that were done to her at an early age would permanently scar someone forever. She uses the hatred to those who have hurt her to fuel the fire for vengeance.
Please Ellie give us some novella spin offs like “where are they now” how are they surviving Oblivion or their other punishments and new marriage alliances. Did the girl from the last book stay obese so she couldn’t run?

Wow the last book in the Brethren Lords series really delivered and I ate this book up!
Of all the books in the Brethren Lords series this one is the least pitch black. Don't get me wrong this one is extremely dark and has some serious and heavy TWs but in my opinion the other ones are darker.
I know you probably shouldn't like Lazarus but there was moments when I really liked that character 😅 I liked both characters actually throughout the entire book. The plot was fantastic and we got to know more of the Brethren world in this book. The writing is addicting and flawless just like the other books in this series.
This book was the PERFECT ending to this series but leaves us with small glimpses of what's to come!! Can't wait!!
I devoured every single pitch black page in this book and I wanna give a huge shout out to Ellie for writing these books! They are emotional, heartbreaking, depraved, pitch black and everything in-between!!
~Decimation~The Brethren Lords Series Book 5~Ellie Sanders~
“We’re the same, you and I. Two monsters, pieced together from the ruins of what was done to us.”
♡Ellie said not to fall in love with him & I tried really hard not to but he's 100/10 loveable on the fucked up scale that is my brain okay? And no I'm not sorry! If loving him is a crime can you at least lock us up together?
I'm so sad this series is over because my traumatized brain fell in love with every mmc except for Antonio he can jump off a cliff....I blame Ellie for telling me not to fall in love because I don't like to listen...Maybe I should seek some sort of therapy for my love of this world/characters while we wait for the next series?
I know my review seems so sweet but please for the love of all things unholy check your triggers before you decide to start this series!♡
The FMC and the MMC both go through it, poor things, I mean yeh I get it it’s a pitch black but damn does it hit you in the feels, Konsantine and Ines are c u next Tuesdays !!!!!!
Leandra (FMC) has so much trauma to go through but at the end you can tell she is loved, not like poor grace and Laz oh the poor thing has so much of his own trauma but when they come together there is a force to be reckoned with.
What an amazing book to end the brethren series, I can’t believe it’s over. I have spent a long time going through these books reading their trauma, reminding myself that these aren’t real people but if they were I would give them a hug because they go through it.
Once again Ellie you have made me question my type in fictional men
all month y’all have seen me post about this series and i’m still not done. i’ve got another one in me😂
the 5th and final book of the brethren lords series and honestly what a way to end it.
i was in a ch0kehold from the very beginning. i couldn’t put it down until i was finished.
the fmc is so strong and dealt with so much she didn’t deserve.
a pitch black romance and when i say pitch black i mean it. the mmc is completely irredeemable. don’t let him fool you.
please heed the warnings and even the chapter warnings. the book isn’t dark. it’s pitch black. your mental health is more important than a book. even if it’s an amazing book.
check out decimation and the rest of the brethren lords!
Decimation is the fifth and final book in the Brethren Lords series and like the previous books this one is pitch black.
If you are considering reading this series please do check out the trigger warnings - there are three pages of them at the beginning of this book.
This book follows Leandra and Lazarus. Both of them went through a lot! My heart broke for Leandra, she was just 18 and the things she had to go through. 😭
I think this book jumped to being my favourite of the series, it was so good seeing how moments from previous books all tied up into this one. Loved it!!!
It was such a fantastic ending to the series.
I’m so excited to see what comes next from the author.
The Brethren Lords has been a wild ride!! Iv loved every minute of it.
Ellie sanders 👏👏
This book has been my favourite, the way they both go through stuff before meeting moulds them into who they are. Now don't get me wrong lazarus isn't cute and fluffy that man is a walking red flag like the rest of them however the way he feels about leandra makes it hard to hate him in the end.
Obviously you have to check your triggers because its not for the faint hearted but absolutely would recommend the whole series.
Wow, just wow. Leandra I absolutely adore, 18 years old and to go through is absolutely heartbreaking but her strength and determination was amazing. Konstantine and Ines 🤬🤬🤬 I have no nice words and everything tjat happened was justified. Laz OMG Laz has my heart, he has his own trauma and darkness but his fiercest when it comes to Leandra just warms my heart. What a way to end a series. Absolutely phenomenal. This is pitch black so please check your triggers before you start
Right so I didn’t think I could love anyone more than I loved Devin then laz came along! I absolutely adore how he’s still dark and dealing with his own trauma but he directs it at everyone but lezandra! I feel everyone in this book got exactly what the deserved and I also feel that Ellie needs a telling off for scaring me in some parts 🤣
As per absolutely smashed it out the park with this book and I’m so sad this series has come to an end!
Omg Miss Ellie who hurt you?!? I need to thank them.... the masterpiece of horror that is a brethren lords book....I really wasn't ready for Lazarus. After the Blake's I thought I knew what was coming.... I had no idea. This was dark, gory, disgusting, beautiful and unexpected.
There are enough trigger warnings for this series and this book. Please just stay in your lane.... if this is too much stay over where you belong and let the rest of us thrive here.
It's Dark, its pitch black and devastatingly beautiful. When you get two souls who have been put through the ringer. You have a world at war, revenge and betrayal all in a fast pace conclusion of the Brethren lord series. I highly recommend if you enjoy pitch black, secret society with captive/captor vibes you don't want to miss out on this amazing conclusion to a 5 star series.

Holy frigging hell, what an absolute ride Decimation took me on! 😭🔥
After book 4, I was RAGING and ready for the complete downfall of the Brethren. Antonio ripped my heart out and then proceeded to trample all over it, so I was fully prepared to watch the Lords fall one by one. I wanted REVENGE. I wanted destruction. I wanted them to suffer. 😂
I genuinely never thought I’d have sympathy for ANY of the males in this series, but somehow Lazarus got me.
And don’t get me wrong… the man has RED FLAGS. 🚩 Like, let’s not pretend I suddenly forgot who he is or that he hasn’t done some seriously questionable shit. 😂 But somehow, underneath all of that, I found myself understanding him, feeling sorry for him and actually wanting better for him.
I found myself focusing on his journey more than Leandra’s, though she goes through a lot of trauma, of all the FMC’s she came out on top!!
This book had me feeling every possible emotion - rage, heartbreak, shock, obsession, and then somehow sympathy for the very people I swore I wanted to see destroyed.
I think it’s a great ending the Brethren Lords and I’ll be sad to see them go!

I had the pleasure of ARC reading this one, and what a finale! 🖤 Pitch black, intense, and completely addictive, with so many twists and turns I never knew what was coming next. A wild and unforgettable ending to the series.
Honestly, this was the perfect ending to this series. I loved this series so much and I’m sad to see it ended. Lazarus was the most perfect MMC and I didn’t think anyone would beat my love for Magnus and Antonio. Ellie is a queen and I will read anything she writes!!
I’m so sad this is the end. Deviant was the book that got me started on my pitch black journey. It to this day is one of my top 3 favorites. This series was dark but I loved every minute of it. Do yourself a favor and read them, but as always check the trigger warnings.
I cannot believe this series has come to an end. 😭😫This is by far one of my favourite series. I need to know more about this universe and cannot wait to see what the future holds for the next generation.🫣💕
