I woke up in Vegas with hazy memories of the night before and the hottest hockey player alive wrapped around me. Some people come to the city of sin for gambling and partying—I did one better and left as Mrs. Travis Bennett. My annoyingly handsome and charming neighbor has been asking me out for weeks. After nearly costing me my gymnastics career, I’ve tried to stay far away from the hot, cocky hockey player. And now I’m legally bound to him.
When the media gets wind of our whirlwind romance, we agree to stay married until my season starts to avoid a PR nightmare. I think it’s a mistake. He thinks it’s fate. And he’s doing everything he can to prove me wrong.
In public, I’m wearing his ring and his jersey. At home, he’s walking around shirtless, packing my lunches, and trying his best to make my heart race. Unfortunately, he’s succeeding. This game of pretend is starting to feel a lot more real.
My new husband is keeping score, and he won’t stop until he wins my heart.
𐙚⋆°。⋆♡ pre-read ♡⋆°。⋆𐙚 ⤷ the first book was so disappointing, but i have hope for this one 😭 i’m currently 20% in and actually really enjoying it so far 🤭💗
it’s literally love at first sight for him, and he never wavers, waiting for Hannah to catch up 🥹 I LOVED Travis’ openness and honesty with his emotions & his ACTS OF SERVICE love language 🥰
Hannah is so used to taking care of everyone, especially her younger sister Wren since their parents died far too young. Travis coming in and just being 100% THERE for HER was exactly what she needed, she just had to let him in 🥹
Travis - the most adorable, golden retriever hero, keeping that energy even though he was abandoned by those who were supposed to love him… I wanted to give him a hug so badly 😭 I loved the moment Hannah turns around to give him back the love he’s shown her the whole time!
Loved the whole “not a fake marriage” thing too 😅
AND HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH HER SISTER WREN 😭 “She’s my sister too, at least for the time being, and I never had one of those before.” GAHHHH THIS MAN!
I just loved everything about this, this is quickly shaping up to be another favorite series from Rebecca! 😍

𐙚⋆°。⋆♡ ── pre-read i've enjoyed all the books i've read by rebecca before so here we go!! vegas weddings are always fun 🤭 and they're both athletes!!!!
There just wasn't any tension or chemistry between Hannah (23) and Travis (27). They were bland together, sorry. And tbh, I just can't wrap my head around how they ended up falling in love. I feel like they didn't really know each other that well, and that's probably saying something, especially since their romance is a slow burn. In my mind, if nothing physical was going on between them, they’d take that time to really get to know each other better. Well, on the surface level, they certainly did. But I don't think they really explored their feelings or opened up about their vulnerabilities. It felt as though the story relied too heavily on tropes instead of developing a genuine connection, which made it hard to really connect with the romance or the MCs.
But if readers are looking for something easygoing with not too much happening in the story. They might want to give this one a shot. Idk, it just didn't work for me. I think it's the storytelling; it just didn't evoke any emotions from me, and I found myself skimming through the pages instead of fully engaging with the story. Maybe other people might like how simple it is, but for those looking for something deeper and more connected, this book might not hit the mark, imo.
Anyway, take my review with a grain of salt. While it didn't work for me, it might be a different case for someone else. Everyone has unique preferences and experiences, so what doesn't resonate with one person might be exactly what another is looking for. 🤷♀️
Book info: — Forced proximity — Vegas wedding turned MOC — He falls first (tho I didn’t get why) — Hockey player x Gymnast — Slowburn — No cheating, OM/OW, separation — No V — HEA (they’re married… 🤷♀️) — Epilogue (1 yr later, celebrated their anniversary)
Notes: — No V. I think Hannah mentioned that it has been a year or more since she last dated. While it has only been months for Travis (not sure how long). He didn't give off a "hoe" vibe but still someone who has gotten around and only does casual stuff. So take that however you want. — He and his teammates went to Vegas to celebrate his birthday. And it just so happens that Hannah and her friends went there as well. They had already been at this bar for maybe a few hours, partying, entertaining, and talking to other women. I didn't see the point of this, tbh, because before this celebration he was all about having "love at first sight" with the FMC and kept yapping about how he wanted to get her attention despite her ignoring or rejecting his attempts. Then he and his friends interacted with other girls, and it even crossed his mind that he would not ask the woman to come back with him later. Umm, why would you even have that idea in the first place when you're supposed to be attracted to Hannah? Like, make it make sense. 😑
“I can tell by the way Shep is avoiding the petite brunette that she’s the one he’s interested in, so I take the blond. Her name is Lola and within thirty seconds I already know I won’t be asking her to come back with me later.
But I assume it’s whatever weird mood I’m in and try to get to know her anyway. It’s too loud for a big group conversation so we’re paired off. Shep and his girl are mostly glancing around instead of at each other, but it’s hard to be a good wingman in this environment.
Lola is nice and fun. She has a great smile and lights up when she tells me about her work as an equine therapist. When she finds out we’re in town to celebrate my birthday, she insists on buying me a drink. We toast and toss back a couple shots before D-Low and Shep and Lola’s friends join us.
I’m not disappointed in the least when, not long after, the girls announce that they have tickets for a different nightclub and we part ways.
Five seconds later, D-Low has found another group of women and wants to approach. “Eh…I’m not feeling it.” I hold back a sigh. Old age is hitting me harder than I expected.
“Okay but you’ve barely looked at anyone all night. Even the ones without rings,” he says. “I’m just not feeling it.” […]
“I can’t just pick up some other random girl when I know she exists. It’s like…using dull skates when I know what it’s like to glide across the ice in freshly sharpened ones.”
4.5 stars! Keeping Score is a married in Vegas, sports romance (hockey player x upcoming gymnast), with a golden retriever hero, neighbors to lovers romance where he falls first (and hard)! I always have such a fun time with Rebecca Jenshak’s sports romances.
Hannah moves in next door to Travis and the first time they meet in person they hit it off, until she realizes he is the one who accidentally got her arrested the night before (for breaking into her own house)! After that, Travis is on a roll of ruining things for Hannah…after the arrest she loses her sponsorship, another night he accidentally gets delivered her dinner (they’re neighbors) and eats it before realizing it was her order. 🤭 But all the little mishaps don’t stop Travis from falling for Hannah and wanting to be in her orbit. When they run into one another in Vegas, he sees it as a sign and they hang out all night…and then wake up married!
I love an accidental marriage in Vegas plot so this one was so fun! Hannah and Travis together are equal parts bantery and sweet and I just loved them as a couple, it felt easy and natural between them. They first decide to annul the marriage but then the marriage news hits the public and she’s advised by her agent to stay married to avoid a PR scandal. Travis is perfectly happy keeping Hannah around him for longer and sees it as a chance to woo and date his wife. So many sweet moments in the one: supporting one another with their families (with her sister, his rocky relationship with his father), he packs her lunch everyday, he buys the good white chocolate chips she loves, he moves her in with him when repairs are needed at her house. I loved seeing his teammates in this one and of course the couple of book 1 in the series (Nick & Ruby from Lucky Shot). This book has less hockey time than the first book did, but I loved the couple together outside of the ice time.
I received an ARC, all thoughts in this review are my own.
This was exactly what I needed rn 😍 loved the cuteness and just pure romance this book contained.
Most importantly to say is that Travis is the best MMC I’ve met in a long time when it comes to sports romance. I loved him from his first word 🤭 he stayed so in love with Hannah through the whole book and would do anything for her ❤️❤️ I was giddy every single time he was on the page
I absolutely loved this book!! The perfect hockey romance, accidental Vegas marriage, forced proximityx and the most swoony down bad MMC.
Travis was the definition of perfect book boyfriend! Attentive, sweet, and oh so selfless! I absolutely adored him!! Hannah was just everything. The eldest sister vibes had me all in my feels & how she always took care of everyone. She’s never had anyone take care of her, so of course she pushed back with Travis, but that made this even more perfect.
I loved their connection, the banter, and boy the slow burn in this was a tease! Just overall absolutely amazing!! & let’s take a second for the Travis & Wren friendship. LOVE!!
The found family in this book was just so wholesome and everything my heart needed. I enjoyed this one so much!
I am such a sucker for an obsessed MMC, and this book absolutely fed my soul.
Keeping Score was fun, flirty, and effortlessly swoony, with a neighbors to lovers romance and an accidental Vegas wedding that instantly pulled me in. Travis falling first and hard made every interaction feel sweeter, and his devotion to Hannah was impossible not to love.
Travis is pure golden retriever perfection. Attentive, patient, and completely down bad, he balanced Hannah's independent, guarded nature so well. Hannah's hesitation to rely on anyone felt real, and their slow burn was a delicious tease that made the emotional moments and small breakthroughs feel earned.
The found family and hockey world added so much warmth, making this an easy, cozy read I flew through. While it followed some familiar romance beats, it delivered exactly what it promised and did it well.
A cozy, swoon-filled hockey romance that hits all the right notes and is perfect for when you want something comforting and romantic.

Special thanks to Rebecca Jenshak and Valentine PR for providing this Advanced Reader Copy. All opinions expressed are entirely my own. ✨
This time instead of grumpy Nick (who we love despite his grumpiness) we get golden retriever Travis. Who's never been in a serious relationship, but with one look is now in love.
Problem is? He's the reason she gets detained by the police and the reason why she loses her sponsors. Sponsors? Yes, sponsors. Hannah is a gymnast, trying to earn her spot at a gym that will hopefully help her get to the Olympics.
Travis is mesmerized. Its so adorable. He's trying to get an in with Hannah but its just not working. But a few weeks later they run into each other in Vegas and what do you know? Sparks really flew with the drinks and these two wake up married.
And it would have been all simple if Hannah wasnt going to lose more of her image. And Travis got a huge windfall because of this marriage. Best bet? Keep the marriage intact. For now at least.
I love how hard and fast Travis fell. I love a love sick guy. Hannah was a little hard to track. She would first talking about temporary but then Travis would do something amazing... I would have fallen so hard too.
We get to see the group of guys we met in book 1. They're struggles, and the laughter. I can't wait to see who's the MC for book 3!!!
Okay so Rebeca Jenshak simply cannot miss. I love everything she writes and this was no exception. Travis and Hannah were adorable together, and let’s face it this book had me sold at the words “Vegas Wedding.”
Also this boy is down bad. Like hit his head on every step while falling Down Bad. And let’s face it that just turns me into a puddle on the floor.
✨ Hockey Romance ✨ She’s a Gymnast ✨ Vegas Wedding ✨ Dislike to Love ✨ Forced Proximity ✨ He Falls First
Okay so Rebeca just writes these love stories that hook you from the very first chapter and keep you I. A chokehold the entire time. Travis and Hannah just kept me turning that page so fast. This man was so head over heels… like takes one look at Hannah and is like “sign me up for everything” and it was adorable to see.
Hannah is a feisty gymnastics and so eldest daughter coded that you knew she was just going to fight him every single step of the way. Jut our boy was not deterred!
I had such a good time reading this one, the slowish burn was totally worth the payoff when we got there and Travis’s grand gesture at the end had me absolutely swooning.
I’m so ready for more of that this series has to offer!
Hhhhhh so so so good! Not only is the fmc named Hannah but she’s also the eldest daughter? Hit me right in the feels. Hannah and Travis were PERFECT for each other, with Hannah’s need to be cared for and Travis’s need to take care of someone. Their relationship was so fun to watch unfold and so many times I was groaning at how stubborn Hannah was being but me and her, we are the same 😂 Rebecca really hit the head on the nail about eldest daughters which made my chest hurt but it was so refreshing to read a character that experiences the emotions and trauma that being the eldest daughter brings. Rebecca stuns as always with this one!
. . . .
Thank you to Valentine PR for the arc opportunity!
**ARC Review** Keeping Score (Moonshot Hockey #2) by Rebecca Jenshak Available now in all formats and Free on Kindle Unlimited!
After reading Lucky Shot (book 1), I was already in love with Travis, the goofy, sweet Golden Retriever hockey player. I have been so excited to read his story! The moment he lays eyes on his new neighbor, Hannah, the spunky, gorgeous, Olympic hopeful gymnast, he is smitten! He's Down BAD and ready to do anything to get her to give him the time of day! Unfortunately, they start off on the wrong foot and she despises him, so he's got a lot of convincing to do!
From neighbors and one-sided love at first sight, to an accidental Vegas marriage, to roomies and a marriage of convenience, Travis now has the opportunity of a lifetime to prove his worth and get Hannah to give him a real chance! Between his sweetness, hotness, and all-around good guy-ness, Hannah may find it hard to resist her Husband for long!
I am such a sucker for a marriage of convenience story, but make it an accidental Vegas marriage, and I'm a complete goner! (For all you fellow Windy City lovers-- Trav gives me total Isaiah Rhodes vibes!) There's more to both Travis and Hannah than meets the eye, both having (very different) complicated family situations, but they may just find a family of their own in this unexpected arrangement!
I am feral for these Moonshot Hockey boys, and I cannot wait to see what's next!!
4.75⭐ 2.5🌶️
I read an advanced copy of this eBook, and this is my honest review. Thank you to Rebeca Jenshak and Valentine PR for the ARC!

No cóż, chcesz go unikać, a jednak nie idzie to tak łatwo.
🩷 Tutaj raczej czuło się od początku wątek miłości od pierwszego wejrzenia. Był to piękny widok, zwłaszcza że Travis zapytał swojej ekspertki do spraw miłosnych następujące pytanie:
📖 “Is love at first sight a thing?” There’s a beat before my best friend’s girlfriend asks, “Excuse me?” “You’re an expert on love and romance, so I trust your judgment.” And I’m desperate for an answer. If I called anyone else, they’d laugh at me. But not Ruby, she deals in happily ever afters for a living. “I don’t know about love love, but yes, I think you can have chemistry with someone from the moment you lock eyes.” I knew it.
🩵 To chyba samo mówi, że mamy też do czynienia z motywem he falls first!
Thank you so much to Valentine PR for the complimentary copy of the book!
This book will be out tomorrow!
The first book in this series, Lucky Shot, was one of my favorite romances of the year and I have been foaming at the mouth waiting for this book to be released! And it was MARVELOUS! I was a little anxious to see if Travis was going to take Nick's spot as top tier book boyfriend and well they are pretty much tied.
"When you're around, I feel like I've swallowed an entire flock of butterflies."
Travis is such a GOLDEN RETRIEVER and he just made me smile so much throughout the book. He was so wrapped up in Hannah from the moment he first laid eyes on her. It had been her and no one else. I forgot how much I loved his relationship with Ruby and how he called to ask about "Is love at first sight a thing?" I cannot express how down bad he was over her. And Hannah could not have been bothered. Yes she thought he was attracted but was so focused on her career and real things happening than to care if a man was into her. And yet he kept on orbiting around her - without even trying!
Listen I am not a huge fan of "we're drunk, let's get married" trope but there is something just so rewarding while reading seeing the couple fall in real time in love with one another. Hannah was so gung-ho on getting the marriage annulled and because Travis is a king, he would have gladly done whatever it was to make her happy. Everyone around Hannah could tell how in love Travis was with her but she had blinders up towards it. And when she did finally realize her feelings, that is when she thought he was pulling away (which he really wasn't). Travis longed for a loving family and found that within his teammates and Hannah is just very independent and like a parent to her sister. She was just so stubborn and not willing to take any help. There was a conflict towards the end that I do not blame Hannah for being upset but at the same time, take the help.
"I like you bad. I like you good. I like you every which way I can have you."
These two just worked so well together. He was so supportive of her gymnastic career and she just was so appreciative of all that he does for her. I love watching her at the hockey game and the moment he sees her for the first time at the game - swoon! I don't read a lot of two athletes in a relationship so that was a fun dynamic to see. And just like how I loved seeing her at his games, it was also nice to see him cheering on her as she competed.
As much as I love the Travis and Hannah moments, I also love seeing them interact with their friends. Travis with his teammates are so funny and I absolutely love their bond! I also love Hannah's relationship with her gymnast friend Kinsley and her sister Wren. Travis and Wren were such a fun combo as well. He really took her in as his own sister.
I just adored this book and being back in Moonshot with this group of friends. I did see that there is going to be a third and I'm so excited to see who that will be the focused on!
I couldn’t get enough of this sweet book !! As always Rebecca Jenshak delivers another amazing hockey romance with characters that are so easily relatable & automatically lovable !! I was hooked on page one chapter 1!
Hannah is an independent , stubborn , kind hearted gymnast who is struggling & has had a rough beginning to her new start. Travis is a handsome , golden retriever hockey player, & a great friend who is tired of being lonely watching his teammates have loved ones waiting for them after the game and not him .
The vibes this book gives are lovable and cozy an kept me wanting more !! I could hardly put the book down , I needed to keep reading to see how things would unfold for these two amazing characters !!
Reading about Hannah’s struggles financially & the little mishaps that kept happening were so relatable. I also felt her stubbornness & wariness when it came to any and all help that didn’t come from her own hard work.
Poor Travis the harder he tried to impress Hannah the more mistakes ended up happening lol !! Those mistakes were harmless and absolutely humorous !!
One coincidental night & moment in time, same place , some lowered walls & mixed drinks .. a decision was made that altered both of their lives forever . For one of them it was the perfect thing to ever happen and for the other .. it took some time to get used to. But dang did it all come together in the end. I loved this book so much and will read again !!
Do you believe in love at first sight? Well, hockey player Travis Bennett sure did! When he first met gymnast Hannah Walsh, he thought he saw the most beautiful and amazing girl ever. But was that their first encounter? Unfortunately no and that would make Bennett's job to won Hannah's heart a little bit harder. Things would definitely get more complicated than that because of a one drunken night, after which they woke up being married🤭. How will things eventually end up for them?
OMG!! I had the bestest time reading this book!!! I can say from the start that Travis was suuuuch a cinnamon roll and for sure a man obsessed🤭. He instantly fell in love with Hannah and was super determined to win her over, despite that little issue that was still hanging between them. Travis was the sweetest guy and I adored how much he took care of Hannah, something she didn't have in her life. It was cuteness overload and I loved each second of it!
Gosh, Rebecca has really done it again, making me adore another book of hers! It was pretty impossible for me to not fall for these characters and their little sweet love story. From my point of view, it had the right ingredients to be that kind of relaxing and fun book, which could make you forget about the things around you and get lost into the story.
Thank youuu so much Rebecca and team for accepting me for this beautiful and sweet e-ARC.🫶🏼
4.5⭐️ I love a man who’s down bad. And my boy Travis is down so bad. 🥰
“I’m so f@ing gone for this girl. If what I felt for her on day one was love at first sight, then whatever I’m feeling now hasn’t ever been documented by humanity.”
Rebecca’s sport romance are like comfort food to me they just make me feel happy and I devour them! Travis and Hannah are no exception.
I adore how open Travis was with his feelings. How he wanted to be there for Hannah and her sister Wren. His act of service. And Hannah, practically raising her younger sister while pursuing her own gymnastics goals. I love them so much for one another. And it would be a real tragedy if we don’t eventually get a Wren book.
Thank you to Valentine PR and the author Rebecca Jenshak for the advanced reading copy, all my opinions are my own.
Wow. I knew I was going to love Travis Bennett, but now it’s confirmed. He’s made it into my top books of the year. The witty banter, the easy going, flirty comments? Ate them right up. Talk about a man down bad. Hannah girl you can only fight so long, and that was proven. After a few mishaps ACCIDENTALLY on Travis’ end and then a surprise Vegas wedding what’s a girl to do? Oh yes, fall in love with her “fake” husband who makes it a point to let her know he’s actually her real husband repeatedly. LOL. Without any spoilers(ish) if you love a jersey scene with a possessive man who’s also obsessed with making his wife want to date him….read this one.
My fave scenes:
When she found out he called the cops on her When he realized he ate her dinner Hannah trying to help shep get a girl 🥹 Their first kiss- where she initiated Getting married on his birthday An oval engagement ring? YES Him slowly taking care of her so she doesn’t have to do it herself anymore 😭 When Hannah came to his game I could’ve cried for him His tally mark tattoo 🥹 Her making him his fave muffins to tell him she’s falling in love with him The bathroom scene at ruby and nicks 😮💨 (In the MIRROR) Her wearing only his jersey 🤭 The Ferris wheel 😏 Him paying for her gym fees (and every other girl that attends fees too) ( and starting a charity for other women in sports!!!!) Fuck his dad fr Him HYPHENATING HIS LAST NAME TO HERS?! So it’s her name on his jersey too?! BYE Travis Bennett-Walsh I’m in love Her winning her comp Her getting him a matching wedding band
Ps. Who’s getting with Wren tell me rn
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I loved that Travis was so gone for Hannah so quickly. The more I read the more I felt like Travis was the star of the book for me. He was just SO good to Hannah that it was impossible not to love him.
Hannah’s internal back and forth wasn’t always as understood by me but it could’ve been the aforementioned #TeamTravis bias. 😂 Her struggle with letting others take care of her was very relatable, however, and I think those realizations made her a much more human character.
Recommending this one if you like
🏒 sports romance 🤸🏼 both MCs are athletes 🏒 marriage of convenience 🤸🏼 forced proximity 🏒 he falls first 🤸🏼 golden retriever MMC
I usually love Rebecca's books, but this one was my least favourite. It was a cute bingeable read with some great banter and snark, but it wasnt anything you havent read before and unfortunately, I just couldn't get over the fact that the MMC not only married the FMC when she was blind drunk he also engaged in sexual activity that she didn't know had happened. He repeatedly acknowledged that this was wrong but that he couldn't be sorry for it because he wanted her the first time he saw her. It felt wrong for me and hindered my enjoyment. I think it's just a me thing because everyone else is loving, so take my opinion with a pinch of salt.
...this was so.... beautiful 😭🥲🥰❣️!!!! I just wanna enter to this book, meet Travis and be his friend, he's too awesome. I loved him so much. Hannah my princess, she's stunning, strong woman, she knows what SHE wants and that's HOT, I know this is the main reason why Travis fall in love with her .
This just did not do it for me at all. I did not believe their relationship at all either I was like uhhh??? She goes from telling him no, ignoring him and then is like “I’m falling for you” like did I miss something??
It makes me so sad to say that I DNF this. I just could not connect at all with these characters, and I thought that the insta love was a bit cringe. I also think she got mad over the arrest for for too long, like what else is he supposed to do? I just found myself skimming this over and over again and then finally just decided to put it down
Loved both Travis and Hannah together. The story moved along nicely with no unnecessary 3rd act break up (a plus for me). It was a cute quick story and just what I needed to read.
