Five Baptisms

Rate this book
Five Baptisms is a book of poetry set in chronological order from: birth in a conservative, small-town Methodist church; to "falling away"; to joining an ultra-conservative evangelical megachurch; to becoming Catholic; back to Methodist; then Episcopal, then to becoming a None, along the way being baptized four times; with his deconstruction being the fifth. Five Baptisms contains many specific pop culture references of his life in the 80s and 90s, so that many Gen-Xers and older Millennials will be able to make connections to those different aspects.
