I received this book for an honest review. This is my first book by this author. The story is fast paced and well developed. As I thought I had it figured out, I was suprised to learn I really didn't have enough pieces to complete the puzzle.
I am usually about the romance and the Happily Ever After. Mysteries were once my thing and it was nice to have a taste of that again. Don't worry, there is still a lot of hot and sexy.
The characters personalities are realistic in their flaws and strengths. It is easy to connect and become emotionally involved as their story unfolds.
I enjoyed this book and think you will too.

I haven't read a vampire book in years but thought would give this one a chance and I wasn't disappointed . This book was the first I have read by this author but it definitely won't be the last . The storyline is fun thrilling and just abit naughty and I look forward to finding out what happens next for my new book boyfriend Damon . Well written story by a obviously talented wordsmith who has left me wanting more .....perfection :)

Highly Recommended Read!!!

Add Vampires, A Lesbian Detective and one hell of a plot with lots of twists and turns and what do you get? A little bit of old world ideas meets new world ideas that will have you unable to put it down. Intrigue, mystery and mayhem. Throw in some Hot moments to complete the recipe for a page turner. Oh and don't forget the loveable Captain Pearce. Absolutely loved the way Jordin constructed this guys dialogue. LOL!

An addicting story!!!

I was pretty much hooked from the beginning. It only got better as I continued to read and figure out what was going on. I look forward to the "Bloodlines" saga part two. I loved the characters and how the story just flowed which kept me in anticipation to what happens next.

wow what an introduction to a fab series, loved the characters with very strong capable ladies with a very sensitive vampire, total different spin on any vampire series I have read. there is some blood and gore and sex scenes which are well written but may not be everyone's cup of tea but I loved it, and would recommend them to any one especially those looking for something different.

What a great book! looking forward to starting the next. It has new spin on vampires to other books, really enjoyed solving the crime and tracking the killer down. I loved the team of detectives, it had a great scooby doo team thing going for it. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a new vampire series, crime and some steamy scenes! wink wink!!

Great paranormal suspense

I thought it would be your typical murder suspense, but was pleasantly surprised. A dynamic team is pulled together and forges a mission unlike anything they have done before.

I was gifted this ARC book through my email for an honest review.

First, I must say is that for this being the author's first try at erotica, I thought it was ok. There was only 3 scenes that I would consider close to erotica. Others may consider it more erotic than some.

That being said..The story itself was great!!

A new twist on vampires, good vs evil, a lesbian detective, a heart attack waiting to happen with Captain Perce, and a bunch of detectives, and a paramedic will have you guessing the whole way through.

A complex array of people are brought together to find a killer that is ravaging people, draining their blood and tearing them to pieces. Detective Casey Marks is the lead on the case and working undercover when she is shot herself in the stomach but somehow saved from being killed. The stranger she sees in the shadows pulls the shooter back into the warehouse just as she passes out.

Will Casey and her team be able to catch the killer? or will they find out there is much more worse out there in the darkness?
This book will have you guessing throughout, it will have you thinking you know what will happen next...but doesn't. There is comedy also in it and some erotic scenes between both F/F and M/F characters, so I recommend this for a mature audience and open mindedness.

I give it 4.5 stars, just for the story itself. It was like being a part of a NCIS scene..

J Thiele is a new author to me and I love her writing style and will be reading more books from her.

Blood Runs deep is a gripping read that takes you on a rollercoaster of twists & turns. Detective Casey Marks is a strong feisty character that will draw you in and works off her gut instincts that have not drove her wrong yet, I have a strong feeling she has a stronger connection to the vampires than she realizes and hope to get more answers in book 2. Damon seems to be a good guy, a vamp with a 'heart' who eventually works with the police team.

The police team is full of a mixed bunch, Ray is the man whore, Rick is happily married but straight and my favourite who speaks his mind at all times and had me laughing throughout this book ~ Captain Pearce.

Bloods Runs Deep is so much more than a 'typical' vampire story and will leave you on the edge of your seat... onto book 2 for me.
Contains: f/f and some graphic violence

Rating: 4.5 Stars

This was a book that was out of my norm for reading and it was an intriguing story. Casey is a strong main character as a detective who hold her own in a man's world. She has. Las sic boss who is very vocal but fatherly and male co-workers who push her buttons. This is a whole different approach to the vampire story with a good one, a long history that involves Casey and a fight of good against evil. I found it to be exciting and extremely captivating to the point I could not put it down. Then when it comes to the end, it leaves you wanting to read the next book in the series. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a fast-paced and intriguing vampire story.

I received a copy of this book from the author in return for an honest review.

Casey is a detective who is working undercover in a drug ring when she's shot in the stomach. But all but one of the drug ring are murdered while she's unconscious. Once she recovers she sets out to uncover what happened in that short amount. What she finds during her investigation is vampires.

This book is a good start to this series. The world and characters are well developed. Casey is a tough cop with a never give up attitude. While I loved this book I gave it 4 stars because when the story was being told from one of the other characters point of view their scenes felt rushed. The intimate scenes were hot but could have been longer. Overall the world created by the author is solid and enjoyable.

I'm writing this review against my better judgement. Normally i do not write a review for 3 or lower star rating. What i did not like about the book is the simple things that should have been caught in the proof reading. Such as misspelled words and hyphenated words that did not need it. Granted those things can be overlooked as you read through the book. Now on to the things that i did like about the book. It did have a good storyline that was well structured. It also kept your attention and guessing to what could happen next. Though this is the firs book that i have read by Jordin, I still look forward to reading more of her books.

Wow!! An absolutely stunning book!! It is different from the many vampire books I have read!!!

Casey Marks is a Detective. She is working underground to uncover a drug ring when her cover is blown. The events that took place that night are indescribable and Casey is dead set on uncovering what truly happened that night. Is she ready for the truth or will she go insane.

There are things that go bump in the night. Few know about them or understand them. Only way to find out what happens is to read this astounding book. I am excited to read the rest of this series!

I don't normally read vampire books but won this in a competition, I really liked how this started out as a detective investigating normal stuff, lots of twists, great characters, a bit of naughtiness, it was interesting enough to keep your attention until last page and left you wanting to know more of what happens next

Absolutely loved this book, the core characters are all great personalitys and the story has twists and turns that keep you gripped. The erotic scenes are HOT but don't overpower the story and its a new twist on vampires from other books I've read. It gave me some laugh out loud moments, tears and overall a very intriguing story. Can't wait to start the next book, fantastic book.

I received this book from Voracious Readers for an honest review. Vampires with a heart of gold! This book starts off as a regular old crime story with our heroine working undercover to bust a gang of drug dealers and murderers. But our lovely heroine gets shot but before she blacks out she sees something she can't quite figure out. Something weird that doesn't make sense. From there things get weird. Really weird. People are dying in a really strange way. They are being torn limb from limb - starting with the gang she had been investigating. No one can figure out what is going on. She gathers a team of investigators to assist her in discovering the cause of the strange deaths. The little band discover the world they knew isn't the world they thought they knew. Vampires live amongst humans and humans don't realize it. This is a pretty straight forward crime/mystery intertwined with the paranormal. But in saying that it was a good fast read that I did enjoy. There was a bit of a cliffhanger at the end but it just assists in the anticipation for the next book. It was well written and well paced. I found I read it into the night far later then I would have preferred, but I needed to know what happened next! If you like vampires this is a fun adventure to look at.
