I have yet to be disappointed in any of Brian's books and Clusterf*ck is no exception! I felt this was a bit different than anything I have read by him. Super short chapters that make you say "just one more" about 60 times in a row. Chapter 107 had me clenching my jaw badly with the thought "WTF is about to happen"! Well done Brian. First book in many months that made me stop almost everything to finish in 24 hours. Looking forward to the next one!
Brian D. O'Sullivan - Author's Clusterf*ck grabs you by the collar, smirks in your face, and takes you on a wild ride that you never want to end.
The super short chapters are like small doses of adrenaline that keep you coming back for more. Each one has a punchline, a twist, or a moment of pure character gold. It's "just one more chapter" and before you know it, you've read half the book.
The first-person point of view that flips in each chapter is what makes the experience incredible. It gives the story a raw, intimate, and sometimes hilarious edge. You’re not just reading about the chaos—you’re inside it, feeling every awkward mishap, every sharp observation. O'Sullivan's character dialogue is so good that you'll forget you're reading but feel like you're part of the conversations (there's none of that overdone "he said, she said, he said, she said" crap).
The pace is perfect and the characters seem like actual individuals you've met (and maybe tried to avoid). From beginning to end, it's smart, snappy, and very exhilarating.
Clusterf*ck is the only choice if you want something clever, fast-paced, and hard to put down!
Brian O'Sullivan has done it again!! A book that truly lives up to its name. Twists, turns and WTF moments galore. And that ending!!! Go grab your copy now.
One of my absolute favorite authors and a truly nice guy who engages with his readers. Thank you 😊
I’m giving this a five before I read it due to the author quoting the infamous posts in the Psychological Thrillers Facebook group regarding the unbelievable phenomenon of characters releasing “breaths thy didn’t know they were holding”. I feel seen because my god this has never happened to me. Will be back to update after I read it!
O'Sullivan does it again!!! His stories and his writing style is just so unique and I have thoroughly enjoyed every book of his that I have read and I have read many of them. The multi-narrative in this novel fit so well and I just loved how you got to see each character's perspective. The antagonist, was pure gold. It was just so evil how this person thought. The ending, although it seemed abrupt, fit the story like a glove. I highly, highly recommend basically anything this author writes!
What made me pick up this book was the cover.... and the title! 😆 And I really liked Clusterf*ck!! 😍 Brian O'Sullivan was a new-2-me-author... and now I'm curious to know what else he has written!
Totally enjoyed the short chapters and how it helped move the story forward making you say, “I have time for one more 5 minute chapter.” Before I knew it, all 109 chapters were done!
This is an incredibly fast paced thriller with short chapters that make it hard to put down! This is my first read by this author and certainly will not be my last. Well done, Mr O'Sullivan
Brian O’Sullivan is a great author and this book was fantastic!! Four main characters, all with an agenda. Two think they have the same agenda, but one is dead wrong!
Reading Clusterf*ck by Brian O’Sullivan felt like being strapped to the hood of a speeding car while someone kept yelling “WAIT, THERE’S MORE?!?” Every time I thought the chaos had peaked… nope. Another scheme. Another murder. Another double-cross. At some point I just gave up trying to “figure it out” and accepted that I was along for the ride like a confused but enthusiastic hostage. And the twists? Absolutely relentless. With 40 pages left, there was STILL so much going on that I genuinely stopped and thought, How the hell is he going to land this plane without it exploding? Well let me tell you, he landed it! Somehow all the madness, the plotting, the backstabbing, the bodies piling up, the “wait… WHAT?!” moments actually comes together. Not neatly. Not politely. But perfectly for a book literally called Clusterf*ck. It’s messy. It’s wild. It’s jam-packed with murder and mayhem. And it’s ridiculously entertaining. If you like your crime thrillers: ✔ fast ✔ chaotic ✔ twisty ✔ and slightly unhinged …this one’s for you. One hell of a clusterf*ck. Five stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Would spiral again.
I have a special place in my heart for Bobby McGowan…but this has replaced my new favorite Brian O’Sullivan book!! WOW, what a clusterf*ck INDEED! The story is told from four different perspectives, but is super easy to follow along. The story unravels into a train wreck you can’t look away from. Clusterf*ck is packed with suspense and I absolutely loved it - from start to finish! If you’ve never read any of this author’s books and you love a chaotic (in the best way), fast-paced thriller - give this a try!!
Clusterfck by Brian D. O'Sullivan - Author is exactly what the title promises: chaotic, unfiltered, and a total Clusterfck. It feels like sitting at a bar while someone brutally honest and slightly unhinged tells you their life story… and you can’t look away.
It’s messy, dark without being heavy, and funny without trying too hard. If you like your books raw, sarcastic, and unapologetically human with a side of WTFFFF, this one delivers. 🤣
I listened to the audio version of this book, and while the story was definitely engaging and kept me on the edge of my seat- I have to rate 4.5 stars because I was not a fan of the AI narration, typically I don't have an opinion on AI usage, but the mispronunciation of words such as 'nice guy' threw me off here and there. This was my first read from Brian O'Sullivan and I will definitely be picking up another soon!
Wow—this was definitely a clusterf*ck in the best way possible. Brian D. O’Sullivan delivers a wild, chaotic ride packed with insane ideas, lies, secrets, and plenty of death. Every time I thought I had a handle on where the story was going, it veered off into something even more unhinged. The story is fast-paced, the twists keep coming, and the madness never lets up. This is hands-down my favorite Brian D. O’Sullivan novel yet. Buckle up.
I love Brian O’Sullivan’s work. Clusterf*ck was a great story that I never wanted to put down & kept me looking forward to every page. O’Sullivan has a sharp wit & a wicked sense of humor that he shares through his characters. I’ll continue to read everything he writes!
Great book. Easy read and love the twist. Another masterpiece Brian. But how in the clusterf*ck did you think of this one?!? And the title is absolutely perfect for the book!
Two married couples, murder, greed, humor .. absolute clusterf*ck! I loved how hooked I was from the very first chapter! Multiple point of views and awesome character development. I could hardly keep in the breath I was holding 😜
If you haven’t picked up any books by this highly talented author, run and order them all! All solid 5 ⭐️ reads.
This story had it all. A bad boy, a manipulative lunatic, a do gooder and a woman who was just caught up in it all! Clusterf*ck of epic proportions is the best way to describe it. Another terrific read from Brian!!
I rarely read a book where I get mad at ALL the characters at some point, but this was the book. The plot lives up to its name 100%. Brian has brought his story telling, humor and relatable characters to life. I could NOT put the book down. Another home run for Mr. O'Sullivan from my POV.
I quickly became a fan of Brian's books a few years ago and flew thru everything he's ever written! My mom and I bonded over our love of his books. He keeps you captivated and on the edge of your seat wondering what's next. Can't wait for his next book!
This was a fun and quick read. The author excels at character development and keeps the story moving. You’ll quickly form opinions - good and bad - on each character and will root for the good ones until the last page.
Brian O’Sullivan does not disappoint! Another five star read from him and his amazing characters. What a fun read with lots of twists and turns. Keep them coming Brian!! We love them all.
