Listen… I went in for the “female alpha CEO x shy nonbinary omega” premise and came out emotionally compromised, a little feral, and fully in love.
Morgan is grumpy, gorgeous, and terrifying in heels. Jamie is soft, anxious, and secretly built of titanium. The tension?? Off the charts.
“Thinking is for alphas. There’s no use for thoughts in your sweet little brain unless they’re about my cock. Got it?” — Morgan, casually ruining my life.
And then she turns around and says—
“Baby, don’t worry. It’s all going to be just fine. I’ve got you. I’ve got you forever.” — and I melted into the floor like a popsicle on a yacht. *sobs*
It’s spicy, swoony, and gloriously queer. I devoured this like it owed me money.

Vigorous and thorough romance
Omegaverse has never been more pseudo scientifically accurate! Glands and suppressants making pharma-sense isna brilliant twist, and Morgan is a brilliantly realised billionaire character.
Jamie is such a cutie pie, and the tension between "poor" and rich is richly elaborated upon as he is wined and dined across the world.
The author's lovingly described and choreographed scenes are superlative.

I've been looking forward to reading Morgan and Jamie's stiry ever since I saw the author's promo reels on fb. This was actually supposed to be my introduction to her books, but I ended up reading Thou Shall Not Spill first, followed by Hers on Silver Screen. Both were ARC reads, and I had an amazing time with them. Double five stars, mwah 😘🤌
That's why it didn't take long for me to get invested. By now, I'm already familiar with Baker's writing style, and it definitely helped that both MCs were so likable. Who doesn't love a woman who's on top, in both her career and her private life? Yes plz 😋

Jamie was such a cute little idiot. This is my second time reading a NB character, and Jamie's internal monologue about gender and his feelings was so interesting!!

Hers by Moonlight surprised me because, compared to Baker's other two books, the spice arrived pretty late, around the 60% mark I think??? But it reminded me why I enjoy the author's books so much. There's no instalust. Maybe a little instalovey, sure, but Baker always makes sure her protagonists truly get to know each other before they jump into bed. This is the reason I'm being picky when it comes to OV, especially for authors who use scent match dynamic 😬

I knew it would pay off if I just stayed patient ... And I was right. Once the smut started, it practically bulldozed the plot and not stopped.

That said, this book felt ughh a little awkward at times 🤔 With Hers on Silver Screen, I was laughing my ass off at 3 a.m. Morgan and Jamie's banter didn't hit nearly as hard. It was cute and fun, but nowhere near Christine and Mylo's level. I think their chemistry was meant to be sweet rather than witty, and I went in with the wrong expectations.

The beginning also felt a little info dumpy and could've been woven into the story more naturally. And the ending felt ehhh rushed??? 😬 I think we could've used a proper grovel. Morgan made Jamie feel awful, and for a moment it really looked like she chose money over him, which was okie, understandable, but still ... What the hell, Morgan? 🙂🙂🙂

None of that ruined my experience, though. I still had a fantastic time with this book. Baker remains one of my favorite authors when it comes to writing spice, and this book actually pulled me out of the reading slump I'd been stuck in after three disappointing reads in a row that I was starting to think my brain was broken???
I really hope this series continues because it's so hard to find a well written fulllength novel with this trope.
2/6 down. Four more to go.

None of that ruined my experience, though. I still had a fantastic time with this book. Baker remains one of my favorite authors when it comes to writing spice, and this book actually pulled me out of the reading slump I'd been stuck in after three disappointing reads in a row that I was starting to think my brain was broken???
I really hope this series continues because it's so hard to find a well written fulllength novel with this trope.

This was my first time reading this particular romance subgenre, and I very much enjoyed it.
I appreciated the way this book subverted gender norms, while keeping the psychology very believable. I also found it interesting how it took aspects of both gender identity and sexual preference and implemented them as biological factors in a way that is not particularly far fetched.
For the book, plot, and characters themselves:
The writing was excellent, and the plot built upon itself well. While I'm glad it didn't fall for some of the normal tropes when it came to aignst, I thought the transition from second to third act was a little abrupt, but not enough to pull me out of the story. Just enough to make me wonder for a second if I'd missed something.
The character growth is excellent. Both develop from where they THINK they should be to where they need to be. Bonus points for the back and forth dialogue (something I'm always a sucker for).
At the end, I wound up needing to download the bonus chapter, because I wasn't done with the characters. That, in and of itself, is the mark of a 'will re-read' book for me.
I'll also be exploring this corner of the romance genre a little more to see what else is out there.

4.5 stars. This story is dual POV, adroitly written, and a slow burn, dominant female alpha billionaire (Morgan)/submissive male omega scientist (Jamie), forced proximity, erotic omegaverse shifter romance. I enjoyed the way the author flipped gender assigned at birth with presentation for both lead characters. I enjoyed the exploration of what male and female could look like, and how preferences and enjoyment intertwined. I empathised with Jamie’s caution and feelings of not fitting in anywhere. I enjoyed seeing him relax into a space and become more confident. I enjoyed Morgan’s confidence that any space was her space because she claimed it. I enjoyed her work ethic and determination. I enjoyed the philosophical discussions Morgan and Jamie had, and that they had a relationship separate from their biological urges and rhythms. I enjoyed the increasing physical intimacy and the erotic intimate scenes as the relationship developed. I enjoyed the increasing mutual vulnerability, especially from Morgan. I adored the ending, and seeing Morgan’s female alpha friends, and I’m looking forward to more in this world!

Just read the fucking book, I can’t recommend it enough! Plus, the author is a part of the LGBTQ+ community.

This was a recommendation from Reddit for someone asking for female alpha and male omega Omegaverse. Which is something I have never seen before to be honest and picked it up as a palate cleanser in between other reads. And I liked it more than I expected! I don’t really like books with millionaires in them but it was okay in this book, at least Morgan is trying to do good to the world. The book is told on 2 PoV (it depends on the chapter) from either the female alpha fmc Morgan or the omega mmc Jamie so we get to know how they think (and yearn) about each other.
The slow burn is burning , the banter is bantering and it’s overall a fun read. I didn’t realize they were shifters (half shifters?) until halfway into the book but that may be just me. It had a primal chase scene in half animal form that was super cool. The only reason I dropped it to 4.5 stars was because once the sex scenes happened they felt a bit repetitive but overall I liked the world and like how the author writes so I will pick more of her books.

I really enjoyed this different take on a shifter omegaverse romance.
A female alpha, a demiboy omega, humanoid shifted forms with different anatomy for female alphas... there were lots of twists on the classic omegaverse romance.
It's hot and kinky AF!
My least favourite aspect was the main character being a billionaire, and as careless about that as I think many uber rich people are IRL.

This was my second book by Bethany Baker and my first Omega Verse. I’m not unfamiliar with d/s or bdsm (I’m a Kink Educator & author myself) nor am I unfamiliar with monster or fantasy in romance.
I loved this story. I’m a certified heart on my sleeve, hopeless romantic. This story was great! The tropes were perfect, just the right amount of bratting from one character balanced by the dominance of the other. It’s truly a heartwarming tale & very spicy! I rate it 🌶️🌶️🌶️ peppers!.

This was absolutely adorable. I loved the take on the omegaverse. Also love it being about a female alpha and her own struggles being a female alpha and also being a ceo since both are normally male dominated fields. Loved the peek in Jaime being a male omega and going to a support group or being grouped but still feeling like he can’t complain because he’s male and doesn’t technically experience what women go through in society so he just silently suffers.
I hope there’s more to this series.

Hers by Moonlight is a nice new take on OV. There aren’t nearly enough female alpha stories out there and even fewer where she has a 🍆
I loved Jaime’s adorable self-sabotage and Morgan’s tough walls. Both characters had so much growth through the book.
The spice was great, something new and exciting with the extra appendage. And I loved the addition of the science behind blockers.
A very enjoyable OV and definitely worth a read for those craving the femme alpha vibe.

A rare Alpha female x omega male couple that I definitely enjoyed! Morgan and Jamie's chemistry runs like a roller coaster: with some highs and lows that can be frustrating for us readers but we can't help but read more to see how it'll play out. The Omegaverse dynamics of this world is very unique: I definitely recommend if you want a reverse omegaverse romance with a billionaire trope!.

What a fun one! I love the omegaverse genre and this one was such a good time. I really loved how Bethany inverted the billionaire alpha, it's so rare to find female alphas in general and then to have her be the billionaire? *chefs kiss* Also, even though it's a M/F pairing it just *felt* queer, and that's 100% a compliment since M/F OV tends to be very heteronormative.

And honestly, bonus points as well for there being no accidental pregnancy. Not that I'm against pregnancy per se, just that I hadn't realised how refreshing it would be to read a book in this genre without one.

I loved this so much! badass fmc, clueless mmc and a sweet and spicy secret romance! I love the unique shifter aspect and how they addressed so many stereotypes with gender expectations. I loved reading about the characters and the pacing was well done. the build up to their relationship didnt feel boring. I highly recommend!!

It’s not my first time reading about alphas and omegas, but this was my first timing reading about a female alpha and nonbinary omega and I’m here for it. I love the slow burn and to see how Morgan and Jamie’s relationship evolved.

First book I've read since high school, read it in an 8 hour sitting on a night off work. It is a good book, made me laugh a number of times the dialouge is great.

This book is the exact thing I’ve been desperately craving in omegaverse. I loved the fact that we got to see a tall muscular fmc that didn’t take bs from anyone. And a shorter mmc that was the softer one in the romance I feel like that’s something we barely see in books. Overall I can’t wait to read more from this author in the future.
