one of the best volumes and finally getting to the heart of what part 2 is trying to say. making denji think about his past actions and dig deep as to who he is and what he has done - both as denji and as chainsaw man. the death devil (my queen Lil D) is so cool and trying to understand her ideas vs the war devils ideas. like literally what does denji even do. both of them are using his hypersexuality to their advantage... please let me take denji out for ice cream or something he does NOT deserve this shit going down.
I really enjoyed this volume and am just overall happy that the last couple of volumes have picked back up. I really loved seeing the one devil lady again, and some of the plot holes are getting filled in and actually starting to make sense. This volume was very action-packed, and I definitely think that is what Fujimoto does best.
Many say part 2 is weaker than the first one but this is genuinely peak plot writing. it is a bit over the place but it's damn good and I love the way it evolves. I just hope Fujimoto will give us a good ending. we've had enough death and suffering already.
Volume 22 (starts here at Chapter 199 up to Chapter 210)
read Chainsaw Man Chapter 199 (1st out of 12 chapters=1/12=8.30% on Shōnen Jump and MangaPlus Volume 22 on Friday, April 18th, 2025 - Death Devil ate the fake Chainsaw Man and Fami and enslaved them!!! Death Devil is gruesome: eating human flesh while they are still fresh to eliminate mankind... I know where this is going: Death Devil now controls both Fami and the fake Chainsaw Man. 🤮😞😩😖 The ravens eating the flesh is terrifying!
read Chainsaw Man Chapter 200 (2nd out of 12 chapters=3/12=25% on Shōnen Jump and MangaPlus Volume 22 on Friday, April 18th, 2025 - Asa is letting the negative thoughts get into her mind: "she can eat food with toxic additives because she is a toxic woman now". She should not think about it or else she will become like them. Denji and Asa riding that bicycle must be a wild ride banging their way through people 🤣.
read Chainsaw Man Chapter 201 (3rd out of 12 chapters=3/12=25% on Shōnen Jump and MangaPlus Volume 22 on Monday, May 26, 2025 - Yoru smacked it, "I am the only woman you need, aren't I?" That poor woman lost her arm. Famine is not doing good and needs to be taught by Chef Devil. Does this manga seems as if it is still going anywhere? It seems as if it is bouncing around, lacks depth, lacks character development, and more.
read Chainsaw Man Chapter 202 (4th out of 12 chapters=4/12=33.30% on Shōnen Jump and MangaPlus Volume 22 on Monday, June 9, 2025 - Mutilation. Screams. Victims. Two Chainsaw Men. One is fake. The other is real. There is a lot of slicing and splicing on this chapter. The citizens that turned into Chainsaw Men are mere sacrifices. Denji was right to say that Yoru is crazy altogether. She just points her fingers like a bullet.
read Chainsaw Man Chapter 203 (5th out of 12 chapters=5/12=41.70% on Shōnen Jump and MangaPlus Volume 22 on Monday, June 9, 2025 - The immaculate art of Tatsuki Fujimoto never fails to mesmerize me. The building, the décor, the artline, the storyline: the Fall Devil just continues to torture Famine. It's really unsettling that these events continue to occur. And Chainsaw Man is plummeted yet again. Yoru just lavishes torture. 🙁
read Chainsaw Man Chapter 204 (6th out of 12 chapters=6/12=50% on Shōnen Jump and MangaPlus Volume 22 on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 - Yoru turning building into swords and now there is Fire Devil inside a man? She said that she can kill "her"? Who's "her"? Death Devil? Who is that guy whose face got chopped off anyway? And Denji just saved a bunch of people from Fakesaw Man!! Yehey for Denji 😄, but now, they are still afraid of him. The Falling Devil is as cool as ever. 😄
read Chainsaw Man Chapter 205 (7th out of 12 chapters=7/12=58.30% on Shōnen Jump and MangaPlus Volume 22 on Sunday, June 29, 2025 - So, the Fire Devil wants Chainsaw Man to choose the younger twin brother instead of a cat? And now, Denji is being tested again. Is he going to save Yoru or is he going to dismiss her? And the Falling Devil is here. Who is she siding with again? Reading these chapters bit by bit is hard to connect.
read Chainsaw Man Chapter 206 (8th out of 12 chapters=8/12=66.70% on Shōnen Jump and MangaPlus Volume 22 on Monday, July 14, 2025 - How interesting! Asa is saving Denji this time. How the tables have turned. 😳 I am glad that the story is progressing despite the exciting titles in the chapter. Falling Devil is scary. 😖 That man that appeared in Falling Devil's mouth is guilt-tripping Denji. Asa is taking the risk.
read Chainsaw Man Chapter 207 (9th out of 12 chapters=9/12=75% on Shōnen Jump and MangaPlus Volume 22 on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 - The sharpness of those swords and the bulkiness of that tank. It's so cool to see how those weapons are drawn against Yoru's arm. Denji deserves to be happy and it's good that Asa is cheering Denji up. We're in Volume 22. Is it time for Fujimoto to step on the breaks? Each chapter is so profound!
read Chainsaw Man Chapter 208 (10th out of 12 chapters=10/12=83.3% on Shōnen Jump and MangaPlus Volume 22 on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 - Yoru changed her mind not to turn Denji into a weapon? That's so sick. She is listening to Asa, but moreover she is blushing. Denji making sacrificial demands, "Please turn me into a weapon to lighten my sins." Readers would have loved to see a motorcycle. But, the author does not have energy.
read Chainsaw Man Chapter 209 (11th out of 12 chapters=11/12=91.70% on Shōnen Jump and MangaPlus Volume 22 on Monday, August 11, 2025 - How very interesting that they mentioned "nuclear weapons" in this chapter! 😧😮😵 And Asa remembered it all while she was terminating the Falling Devil. Falling Devil is crying tears of blood and Asa almost cried tears of blood as well after remembering nuclear weapons. Denji is smushed to pieces.
read Chainsaw Man Chapter 210 (12th out of 12 chapters=12/12=100% on Shōnen Jump and MangaPlus Volume 22 on Monday, Sep 1, 2025 - Yoru putting up her hand against her chest to honour the American national anthem (which is revised by Tatsuki Fujimoto to reflect the doom and gloom of the situation). Yoru remembering nuclear weapons and that she loves America and not Denji is a great twist! Denji waking up in front of Li'l D. 😂

I’m liking how everything is feeling right now. It’s not to the extent of part one but I think it’s definitely cool. Yoru remembering nuclear weapons as one of her children and her favorite ability and then loving America because of it (she does have Lockheed Martin on her face). Denji is getting flash banged with guilt and truth almost every chapter now so that’s sad.

Vivan los Estados Unidos de America y la libertad de hacer cualquier mierda… Si este manga fuera solo Asa y Denji, creo que podría fácilmente volverse en uno de mis favoritos, pero tanta mierda innecesaria que me agota.
its like 5 am and i woke up half an hour hour i am not ready for this damn. i agree with the reviews saying with getting to the nitty gritty of part 2 kind of, it has been 11 volumes already so we've been here, maybe its more like the culmination of everything we've seen. damn you america damn you nuclear weapons i am afraid of whats to come. damn you internet as well cuz i think i spoiled myself with something regardibg pochite and the very last chapters but for now im just in denial. and as i say every fuckin time MET DENJI BE HAPPY he doesnt deserve this, yeah maybe he has taken decisions that have hurt others, maybe even killed a lot of people, but why is he the only one being reminded and guilted over everything always. oh my sweet denji, you deserve to be happy, please be happy. he has gone through so much shit and people never let him forget that. he is not a weapon and he is not a devil, hes denji and i want him to be happy. maybe with asa too, that part where she told him she wanted to make him happy oh tears. i am scared for whats to come
okay, i have to be honest, from 20 to 23 i have no idea what are we doing. there are some good ideas here and there, specially ironic and critical to political situations and stuff, but the thing between deathdevil wardevil and chainsawman is a little messy. the fight scenes are messy, the dialogue of war devil is messy and the moment where chainsaw man and denji are more intertwined is given less than a thought. in part 1 chainsaw man was an fearsome entity but it has those dumb moments where you knew it still denji, now, is an upgrade of the denji from the volumes 1 to 5 that i dont think we should go back to.
i also cannot believe yoshida die, because why did he die, what exactly was he doing like he shows and bam fire.
i read this and i dont feel like i am getting anything from it. i think a lot of characters are being shown and they use a lot of time just to say their intentions but i dont see their importance. i hope we can get back on track

CHAINSAW MAN PART 2 — I’ll hold off all opinions until it’s finished, but as of now, while possessing a beauty and charm of its own, Part 2 is much more inconsistent than its predecessor. The quality of it really, really fluctuates. Started off amazing, introducing one of the greatest characters in the entire manga and having the bold choice to make her the new main character, and it absolutely works. Then, said new main character’s screen time is promptly scrapped over time for the sake of badly paced mini arcs and uninteresting, vague plotlines literally no one cares about. Part 2 can feel more like a culmination of interesting ideas than an actual story at times. Things happen, but the pacing has definitely worsened, and it REALLY drags. There’s some great emotional moments, awesome new devils, incredible reveals and unique concepts, and one of the greatest antagonists we get to see thus far. Some chapters from Part 2 are some of my favorite new gen manga chapters, period. But some are truly, really, and unfortunately just… bad. There’s also some of the most abominable fanservice Fujimoto has ever constructed by putting pen to paper in Part 2, and it grinds my fucking gears because it puts a damper on these otherwise really solid characters. Sexuality used to drive the story forward at many points, but now there’s no mistaking it’s just gratuitous on his part, at least at times.
My hands are clasped in prayer after reading the last trainwreck of a chapter… my hope is waning. Hopefully I’m proven wrong and the story moves in a better direction than I’m thinking it will.
Could be anywhere from a 2.5-4.5/5. I’d put it at around 3.5/5 for now due to how much I liked a great deal of it.
UPDATE: Yeah, the ending was horrible. Not only was it horrible, but it was bad for so many reasons. The mischaracterization and thematic contradictions in the last two chapters are disappointing, almost astoundingly so. It leads me to believe, if anything, that the genius of Part 1 was a lucky fluke rather than a purposefully strong story; it’s either that, or the author just stopped caring.
2.5-3/5 is the highest I can give Part 2 for such a weak, wack, fanfiction ass ending.
That being said — it was still nice seeing Power again, I guess.

This is the book I caught up on so this will be my review for p2, until it ends.
5/5 This author fucking gets it. This part doesn’t have power or aki, but the other characters that are present are still very entertaining.
I love nayuta, yoshida, asa mitaka and yoru. Solid standouts of this part, the vibes are really different from part 1 (not in a bad way) but these characters fit this story much better than the part 1 characters would have. This second part is clearly going for a much different overall theme than part 1 was.
A bit better than the previous volume but what the fuck is going on in general? The story is all over the place. Characters who were supposed to be dead come back, many of them are not who they say they are etc. The last 2 chapters were kind of good but overall it's still meh in my opinion. The Part 2 in general is terrible whereas the first part was amazing. I don't know what happened but this shit needs to wrap up soon.
Insane shit saved for the very end of the volume yet again. I can't even blame them at this point. This is genuinely just constant insanity, but in a good way! Like, it does make sense. I really do think it does. I just need to sit with it. The images are impactful, though. It feels like the message about war is really coming into focus now. I do love it. It isn't as powerful as Part 1 still, but I think it might just get there.
The Falling Devil is one of the best antagonists this series has to offer, and throwing it into the fray with Asa/Yoru for a rematch is downright fun stuff. On top of that, Denji's past is catching up with him, and it seems like Part 2 is finally starting to unveil itself to us, which is cool. In the plot and thematic sense, this part has been quite the slow burn, but things are starting to come together.
Also, the War Devil's revelation towards the end is legendary.
The plot right now is a hot mess, but in a good way. I love that Fujimoto didn't hold back on the story, everything is just a mess that was so fun to follow. Yoru and Denji have the best chemistry and I love their relationship.
3.5 yoooo War loving America is so literally 😭 Broooo chapter 213 and 214 YOSHIDA lowkey doomed one sided BL :( Yoshida was really important to Denji omg, Pochita only comes out when a serious death affects Denji. The story still is loosing me, oh how I miss part 1 😔
