Une histoire qui part sur les chapeaux des roues et qui ralentit après 100 pages. L’histoire se passe évidemment en Islande et implique le trafic de drogues, les abus sexuels, les services aux jeunes défavorisés et bien entendu des meurtres. L’enquête se déroule bien et devient compliquée mais tout se règle dans une conversation entre deux personnes durant 20 pages. J’aurais aimé que l’histoire se déploie en impliquant plus le lecteur. ATTENTION: Divulgation. À la fin, il appert que la personne détenant la clé des énigmes est un personnage auquel peu d’attention est donnée dans livre. C‘est un peu facile comme conclusion.

I read the book in English, but could not find it in the system.

The novel has a couple of what appears, unrelated incidents. It starts with Detective Huldur on a boat in the Atlantic discovering bones in the ocean, and then there is a murder of a homeless man, to a runaway girl, who could be a witness to a sexual abuse case and this said girl claims her mother was murdered by a demonic doll, five years before.

I liked the book but I found it went on for too long. Also, there were many twists and turns with a surprising twist at the end.

I had read The Prey by this author, which I found absolutely chilling. This book was less so but still a decent read.
