Drawn to Fight: Zac & Evie

Rate this book
New Adult romance, for 18+ only, due to sexual content and adult themes. Can be read as a stand alone.

Drawn to Fight begins a new series in the world of the Drawn Series, following Redemption and featuring, Damien and Etta's daughter, Evie, in her own coming of age drama filled with angst, love, passion, need, and a healthy dose of obsession.

Zac Rivers. A boy no one wanted to know. Always angry. Always fighting his way in and out of trouble. It was no surprise when he was expelled from school and never heard from again.Until now.I found him at the Londonderry Brawl, and I watched him fight like an animal. Strong. Controlled. But desperate. I sensed in him a purpose – a need to win – and I wanted to know what was so important to him. The way he fought was mesmerising, and I couldn't take my eyes off him. Then, it was over, he'd won and I needed to leave.

He didn't want me to.

When his lips met mine, somehow, he stole my heart, and in that moment, I knew my world was forever changed. I needed to know this boy. I needed to discover all there was to know about him or I'd never be able to breathe again. No one thinks we should be together. They say his bad news.

Well, people say I'm bad news too.

Then, as fate would have it, I was forced to introduce him to my most fierce protector. A man whose past is riddled with secrets and mistakes; a man who fought his way from the darkness and into the light; a man called Damien – my father.

My name is Yvonne Rhodes, although, you may prefer to call me Evie. I'm the eldest daughter of Damien and Henrietta Rhodes. Inside me, I have my mother’s sense, and my father’s passion.

This is Zac's and my story. It's about needing someone to the point of obsession. It's about losing control, and finding a way to pick up the pieces when everything seems broken.

And it's about love. One that's so strong, nothing can stop it.

Another page turner from Lilliana Anderson.
This is a spin-off from the Drawn Series and the first in the Drawn To Fight Series, featuring Evie Rhodes; Damien and Henrietta’s daughter.
Evie has a chance meeting with Zac Rivers when she sneaks out of the house to check out an amateur underground fight. They used to go to high school together, until he left suddenly and inexplicably.
Zac is doing the only thing he knows how - fighting - to keep his siblings together, after both their parents abandoned them. The last thing he wants to do is drag Evie into his mess, but he is drawn, irresistibly to her.
Evie is my kind of chick. She knows how to take care of herself and doesn't care about all the rubbish people sometimes sling at her. She knows who the important people are and she’s willing to fight for them and their love.
The author does a great job of getting into the head-space of a teenager. Evie is learning to grow from a teenager who can be selfish at times, to a mature responsible woman. The relationship she has with her family, particularly her parents, is one to aspire to, but not overly idealistic.
My heart broke for Zac who fights just as hard, but he has so much against him. He thinks he has to do it all on his own. He is so protective and selfless it’s impossible not to love him.
I was biting my fingernails in more than one part of this story. The author had me gasping and yelling NO, more than once.
It’s a brilliant story from an author I greatly respect. She knows how to deliver a gripping tale.
Who wants to learn Aikido?
Awesome work. 5 stars.
Cheers

5 Zac & Evie stars!

I feel like I found a real diamond in the rough of my kindle. I’ve been trying to focus on in between new reads, reading those old—og books of 2013-2017 period. This was published in 2015 and its been sitting on my kindle since then.

What an AMAZING book! Now I have to read about Evie’s parents and their love story as this is a stand-alone, but Evie is the daughter of the couple we meet in the previous trilogy pub in 2014.

“I wonder how fine that line is between attraction and obsession...”

This story I couldn’t turn away from. I loved how original the content was. This was my first real MMA romance, and I may have just found a new fave trope.

The feels these two 18 year olds gave me just filled me up! There’s so much to this story that just fed several parts of my heart.

Virgin hero that has literally the responsibility of so much on his shoulders. I don’t want to spoil, but his heart is golden, but he has had to fight to survive and get by.

A strong kick ass heroine that can more than defend herself and comes from a family of fighters.

All the young and true love, soul mate feels. GIMMIE!

“I want to be this man’s strength as much as I’m his weakness. I need to fight for him like he fights for everyone else.”

3 1/2 stars. Well I had to wait and think about this review. I had this book on my wish list forever but then I saw that it was for free and did my happy dance. I wanted to like this book so much but it just fell short for me. The first half was kinda boring in my opinion I was skimming through it. I liked the fact that he liked her for years and that he was defending her honor the whole time and she didn't even know it :) I also liked that he was a virgin :) Zac had such a crappy family life that he needed a strong woman like Evie to help get him through everything. Evie's family was awesome the complete opposite from his they were a true loving family and I loved it. The second half the book was better but it was still missing something that I just can't figure out. Overall a good book but not great. I don't think I'll read the sisters book because she irritated me so much through this book that I don't think I can stand to read a whole book about her.

I absolutely loved this book!! I missed Lilliana's writing so much! I am sad to admit that I haven't read the series that sparked this spin-off series. But, I will read them one day!!
Anyway, I loved that we get both Zac's and Evie's POV's. If anything makes me swoon is an amazing male POV. And that is exactly what I got out of this book. I am not ashamed to say that Zac was my favorite out of these two!
Zac takes up fighting in order to help his family out and his story completely broke my heart. He made me sob and wish I could do something to fix everything he was going through. His pain was raw and intense. He had to step up to the plate and grow up faster than normal. He is loyal and passionate towards those he loves and I can't stress enough how much I rspect him as a man and as a person.
Evie is a student in high school and has one of the best families I have read about to date. Their story line is so unique and the love they have for each other is palpable. I loved how she had the backbone to fight for what she wanted. She knew exactly what she wanted and wouldn't settle for anything less. I loved her so much!
It's mind-blowing that these two are only 18 years old. They are so mature for their age and I loved it!!! They are so supportive of each other and it killed me to see them struggle in their relationship. Because no matter how amazing a relationship is, there will always be life to deal with.
This is a New Adult romance so there are definitely some sexy scenes. Except, I was so invested that it wasn't enough for me. I wanted more!!! But I am incredibly happy with what I got.
I saw some things coming but all in all, my heart still melted (or broke) when they happened. This book was hilarious and emotional. I was crying a lot over the characters and I can't wait to cry more in the rest of the series!

LOVED THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was a book where I respected BOTH the hero and the heroine...I actually LOVED the heroine. Evie was a strong woman who didn't piss and moan and pout when things didn't go her way. Ya know what she did...she went out and fixed it. She also stayed loyal...when she said she wouldn't leave...she didn't. and I LOVED her relationship with her parents. She was very honest and when they disagreed with her, they would walk and listen to each other and try and work it out. I also LOVED Zac...he is the type of hero that I love to read about. Once he loved a woman...he sticks to it...no playboying around...true fucking love here people. Now I did get upset with him when he freaked out and left for a while...but I understood he kinda just broke. Everything he had been fighting for was ripped away from him...and I also understand that there has to be a "climax" of the book so he would have to do something wrong...hahaha...im really excited that there are going to be more books in this series...but honestly, after what Meg did in this book....I don't know if I can read her book. I don't want her to get a happy ending...she deserves to suffer for what she did to Zac and her family. I understand that she was tired of dealing with it...but then just walk away...don't ruin everyone else's life in the process. Now yes...I understand that it ended up working out well for the three younger kids...but still...she was a fucking immature selfish bitch.

This book was hard to rate. I have not read the previous books yet so I took it as a stand alone. Throughout the book I felt like something was missing and wasn't getting the overall feels of the relationship and the itch to keep on reading. I loved each character individually Evie being such a strong heroine and Zac... Mmm... He was just so yummy. Everything he had gone through because of his stepfather and everything he was dealing with now broke my heart. I loved that he knew how he felt all along for Evie and as much as I hate when the hero pushes the girl away to "protect" them I understood why he did it. But Evie was the perfect match because she was strong on her own.

I had to remind myself they were so young and dealing with so much. I think what shocked me most was that Zac was a virgin. :) Nice little twist for the alpha hero.

Overall I really liked the story. I think what threw me off was the timeline. How it would bring up the past but leave me hanging on the details until further in the story. I hate being left hanging. At first you think she didn't really know him but later you find she did know him in school. It mentions she's the reason he didn't finish school but you don't get the details until later. I didn't really care for Meg or Hugo. I'm not sure I'll read the next book. I read this one because I got it free.

First off thanks to Lilliana Anderson for providing me with an ARC of Drawn to Fight to read in exchange for an honest review. And a special thank you to her husband who always supports her and helps her workout her devilish little plots. He is as much a part of her writing as anything. (In my opinion anyway) Lilliana knows how much I love The Drawn Series and to have a spin off of it -even if I wasn’t team Damon... coughs- is frigging awesome! I may or may not have squealed.. loudly when I saw the first announcements of it on Facebook. I am a huge fan of Lilliana’s but keep in mind my review is from my heart, not just a good review tossed at an author. Just Saying. And it is so worth more than 5 *'s... So… onto the gooooooooood stuff….

And yes there maybe a few small spoilers…

Evie Rhodes is now 18. High school Evie is a bit of a rebel. Though that Apple doesn't fall far from the tree. I mean she is Damien and Henrietta's kid after all. Her fri nods Lucas and Sisley meet her out on the road -since she is sneaking out of the house- and they head an hour and a half out of Sydney to a 'party'. But what they're really looking for is a fight. Not the lame fights but a kick-ass fight, winner takes all. While looking around Evie is approached by a guy who bends down and checks a scratch on her leg from stepping on and stumbling over a stick. He looks familiar but she can't place him. It's not until he's walked off and Lucas and Sisley come over that she remembers him. Zac Rivers. He went to school with them but had left. As they watched him walking off they notice a few, okay more than a few people are following him.

So they join the group, pay their way into see the illegal fight and it's there that Evie sees Zac again...he's kicking ass in the ring. The threesome talk about the fights and about Zac the entire time they stand on the edge of the crowd. Evie not being able to take her eyes off of him even outside the ring. When it's all said and done Zac is announced the winner of the fights. No surprise there. But what throws them all off kilter -so to speak- is that Zac not wanting her to leave yet chases after her, grabbing her, turning her to him and kisses her before she knows what's happening. (Swoons and melts) At least the fella knows what he wants and isn't afraid to go after it. After seeing Zac again and then that kiss he's all over Evie's mind. So much so that her friends notice it. But hey can ya blame her? Urm... No. But she gets to see him again... At school. He's there to pick up his sister and after an intense few minutes she gets a glimpse at a darker side of Zac one that has him slamming a teacher into a wall and all but dragging his sister out of the school. That only makes her think of him more.

We get a glimpse into the life of Zac, Meg and their younger kids home life. Zac fights to keep his family together. His mum is off who knows where doing God only knows what. His step dad has run off. He is alone as the adult of the house. Fighting is what keeps them in lights, food and together. If someone was to find out they are alone, no mum, they would be getting a visit from children services. Zac nor Meg want them to be split up. The littles only know them, Zac’s always been there to take care of them as it is. While he is training outside one day with his older step-brother Zac is approached by a man named Nelson. He is looking for a fighter and he wants that to be Zac. Its an offer he doesn’t like but its one he can't really turn down. The money is too good. But something happens at his first fight for Nelson. Evie comes to his mind and almost costs him his ass. Though he wins the fight he can’t win over the emotions running through him.

A phone call to Evie only makes that hunger grow. Evie comes out to his van because he is parked on the road. They share a kiss that holds more of a promise for more but not now. Its the last time Evie sees him for a month. But even then it was only a little of the ache that was removed. Zac has no intention of including Evie in his life. Its too complicated. But nothing can hold a girl back when she is determined. And Evie is one determined girl. She now knows Zac fights better with her around. His words coated her like a lotion that only sinks in more and more. So its up to her and the gang -Sis and Luc- to find out where this next fight is going to be. If you know the right people, the right questions then you can find anything out that you want. And find him they do.

Lucas, Sisley and Evie find the Circuit at an old drive in. By the time Evie worked her way to the front of the crowd watching the fight Zac was losing the fight. She had to let him know she was there. And when the crowd did quiet down her voice carried to him and when their eyes met it was game on. She was watching, he could win this. And win he did. As he looked out into the crowd after his win he saw Nelson’s bodyguard tugging at Evie’s arm. Panic and rage soared through him as he fought his way through the crowd to get to her… only to find the two thugs on their stomachs, Evie with her knee in ones back and Lucas and Sis pinning the other down. (laughs) Gotta love a girl that can take down a grown ass man that is easily twice her size. Nelson wants to talk to her… and she agrees.

After their talk Sis, Lucas and Evie head to the car to leave but she is stopped from getting in when Zac comes running up to her. His lips meet hers and they all but melt into one another. This is going to be hard but they are going to try and get what they can out of this.. may not be much but its something. Instead of going back to Sis’s house Evie goes home to talk to her parents. Yes its 3am but who needs sleep, right? Evie confesses to going to the fights and ten drops the bomb. She told Nelson she would ask her dad to train Zac. She made no guarantees but he is to meet him tomorrow at 9am. Well today in 6 hours at the gym. To say Damien is not happy is putting it lightly. (HA. He is ten shades of pissed the fuck off and with a temper like hers I was waiting for him to tear the counter top off or something. Just Saying) But he and Henrietta got to meet Zac the next morning. Etta is there to keep Damien calm.. but within a few minutes Damien has Zac on the mat and telling him to stay away from his daughter. He won’t be training him either. Its too dangerous. And nothing is worth going back to jail for.

When Evie finds out what happens at the gym she takes off. She has to find Zac and talk to him. Finding his house wasn’t hard but what she found when she got there was… not what she expected. He let her in, let her see it was kids raising kids. He opened completely to her. Why hide things from the one person that helps make him grounded and all of this okay. Though that makes Zac happier it upsets Meg. She’s tired of not being able to have a life. (I get that but I really just wanted to take her and shake her hard most of this time. LOL) And she shows her ass and leaves the house, she says to get space but its permanent if she can make it that way. She wants her ex-teacher man and she thinks that will make her happy. All it does is add another crack to the hearts of her family. And after weeks of fighting and gaining in the ranks of the ring Zac has Evie, his step brother Jason and his step sister Nikki to thank for helping him along the way. Without them there would be no way he could do this all.

But as the fights dwindle down the pace gets more grouling and things play out between Zac and Sparks -the now retired teacher his sister Meg is in a relationship with- and they make a bet… whoever wins the next bet gets Meg. (laughs) If Sparks -who is ranked #2 at the moment) wins he gets to continue on in his relationship with Meg. If Zac wins Meg comes home and Sparks doesn’t see her again until she is at least 18. Of course the men are ok with that but Megs not. And again I don't blame but her but dayum… Men. On fight night Zac and Sparks face off. As they taunt each other Meg comes up and Sparks lets it slip it maybe too late to stop Meg. It only takes a minute for Zac to figure out what he means. He of course knocks Sparks out and runs out of the cage. He has to get home before its too late. But he is too late.. Social Services and the cops are there for the kids and Meg. And they do.

Broken doesn’t begin to describe how Zac is after that. And just when you think things can’t get worse that asshole that called himself a step dad shows back up. And yes it turns to a fight. The only thing that saved the ass from being killed was Evie taking Zac to his knees and relieving him of a weapon. Something in Zac snapped. More so than the night before. He had truly lost everything that he had been fighting for.. and walks out. Days passed, no Zac. Evie waited in the dark and empty house for him but he didn’t come back. Damien and Etta came and took her home. She was heart broken, the only man she had ever loved had walked out on her. Just walked away, no word. No nothing.

When he did come home he pushed Evie away. His head was so far up his ass that he didn’t care about anything. He was just lost. It took Damien and his massive anger to get a rise out of Zac. And.. yeah Damien storming in on you and ready to kick your ass would do that. (laughs hard and goes shifty...) A pissed off Damien was kinda hot too.. just saying.. (coughs) But, I digress. He gets his ass in gear and knows he has to fight. Fight for himself and fight for Evie. So when he shows up the next day at the gym he does his training with Damien and tries to push Evie away until after his fights.. but she is too much like her father. She lays him on his ass (fist pumps) and lays down the law. He left her. She wasn’t letting that happen again. But if he walked away again, there was no coming back. This and Barry -Evie’s granddad- reaffirming there will be no more chances makes him go get his girl.

Then its fight night. The last fight, Zac’s gotta win so he can move onto the legal side of the fighting. Fighting is all he knows and wants to do. Its what makes Zac the man he is. It strengthens him along with the ones around him. Unfortunately for him the mammoth of a man he was fighting tried to squash him like a bug and it lands Zac in the hospital. But with every bad moment there is a good to recoop. While in the hospital he gets to see his little brothers and sister. And he gets to be introduced to their new foster parents. Lets just say it puts a smile on all of their faces.

Things in life happen for a reason, we may not understand them but if you work at them and try you can pave a road that leads you to your salvation. For Zac his salvation was Evie. As Damien was Etta’s and just like her parents love Evie and Zac had to work to get that balance. Is it that simple, maybe, maybe not but anything worth having is worth the work it takes to have it. the story here… just wow, I loved it. Not that I was expecting anything other than that. I think I may have a battle in my head.. is it better than Drawn.. maybe.. its a tie for sure. Lilliana has a way of making her characters wrap around you and you feel what they feel. This book was a bottle of feels that was waiting to pop open. I laughed, cringed, gasped and cried (lord the tears… though I am a sappy gal..) but in the end it was all worth the story that now has a place in my heart.

This is a spin off of Ms Anderson's Drawn series, however you do not have to have read that series to enjoy Drawn To Fight.

In fact, I am calling this Drawn: The Next Generation , as it is about the children of the people of Drawn.

Evie is the daughter of Damien and Etta from Drawn, and while there are similarities between mother and daughter, there is so much different too. Evie is streetwise to her mother's naivety. But one this is for sure...

They both love a bad boy.

Zac is the bad boy fighter that Evie can't help but be drawn to. She has been drawn to him since high school but so much has happened since then.

But nothing stops him wanting her.

There is so much going on behind the scenes with Zac, and OMG my heart ached for him. This is not your typical NA book with typical high school worries. This is so, so much more.

This does not romanticise the underground fight movement either. It shows it is dark and dirty, and the people that run it as such too. I love UFC and MMA, so the more of this the better.

Ms Anderson writes scenes so that you can practically hear the noise of the crowd, smell the sweat and the blood.

Helps that it is written in the area that I grew up, so I could really picture where things were happening.

This has made me want to go back and read the Drawn series again while I am waiting for the next book.

There are some great secondary characters. Love all of Evie's family, Zac's family - well for the most part anyway - and need more.

The next book is going to be about Zac's sister Meg and her beau Hugo.

This story is story of a very young couple who brought together by the passion for fighting. Both of them or different reasons but in the end its about fighting or love, family and each other.

We meet Evie Rhoades who is daughter to Damien and Henrietta Rhoades. Who with the just last name is feared at school but she also tormented by her past. But with her friends Lucas and Sisley one night after she turns 18 goes out looking for MMA fights. After training all her life at her parents gym she loves the adrenaline of a good fight. But not the fight that fascinates her that
nights it who the fighter is.

" I want to be this man's strength as much as I'm his weakness."- Evie
" I need to fight for him like he fights for everyone else"- Evie

Zac " The Hammer" Rivers fighting for his life. He fighting for money he fighting to keep his family and his fighting to keep secrets. But one night during a fight he sees her. The girl who he pined off while he was in school. She there but what happens when she finally sees him is like adrenaline shot to his heart. Her watching him fight makes him feel invincible.

But like in every great love story timing is not on there side. Zac fighting for his family but with Evie around he loose focus and that's something that cant happen. But he cant stay away. But when Zac secrets are held against and he brings Evie into his living nightmare. She cant stay away even thou Zac tries to push her away. But he drags Evie family into it too.

But when he was on top of his game, with the love of evie, the money to take care of his family...

" With one phone call, she destroyed everything Zac was living for. Everything he was fighting for. How will he go on.?"- (Evie)Liliana Anderson

When he looses everything can he just walk away? Can the fight be over for him? Where does it leave Evie?

Yes Evie is a strong young women with what she wants is clear. Her loyalties are in the right spot after getting a good dose of reality after seeing Zac home life. Evie family you cant just but fall in love with. I haven't read her parents story but I cant wait to go back to read Damien and Henrietta Rhoades story.

Poor Zac he fights so hard for everything and then when he thinks he got it in his grasp with the one phone call everything is turned upside down. But with the fight of the women he loves he just might make it thru with a life better than he ever dreamed of. With the love of a new family he never thought he have.

I also look forward to Megs and Hugo story. Lilliana just gave us enough of a taste of this forbidden couple to keep us on our toes for there story. But who doesn't love a good forbidden teacher romance and can I say hes a fighter too!! HOT!!!

This is the story of Yvonne Rhoades, Evie. Damien and Henriettas daughter all grown up. Evie has the sense and goals as her mother but has the fire and passion as her father.

Evie is 18 and free to do what she wants. But she still lives under her fathers roof and has to do what he thinks is best for her. She has 4 siblings and the connection between them all is amazing and full of love. Damien and Henrietta both own the Akido gym that was her fathers growing up and is now called the Fighting Gym. Evie doesn't have much for friends at school since no one wants to risk hanging out with the girl whose dad went to prison for destroying a bar. And the fact that he owns a tattoo studio doesn't help her case any better.

Evie and her 2 friends, Sisley and Lucas head to Londonderry for a party. She met them at the gym where her father trains and her mother keeps the books at. As Evie is walking around checking the party out to find out about the fight club thing she has heard about. She stumbles on a stick and nicks her ankle a bit and it starts to bleed. She sorts it out and rights herself and then comes face to face with a guy she has seen before. He brushes his fingertips around the injured spot and a heat travels up her leg where he touches her. Then hes gone. Sisley questions Evie about him. People are following him so they go to check it out.

Winner is Zac 'Steel Fist' Rivers. All Zac can do is watch her in the crowd. When she is turning to leave he goes after her and does something totally out of his character...he kisses her. The both feel the connection between them.

Evie is face with a situation and its one that is going to really coz some friction. She has to ask her father to help train Zac to further his fighting. Damien wants nothing to do with it and tells Evie she isn't to have anything to do with him. But that doesn't stop her. She has asked her father many times to introduce MMA to the gym along with the Akido and the kick boxing.

Zac has a secret he cant let anyone know about. It seems he needs to win these fights! Its not just a hobby. He has to fight for the money he needs. It seems Zac has been dealt a bad hand and he is trying to take care of it all on his own.

What is the secret Zac is hiding? What is this feeling he has with hes with Evie? Where does Evie fit into this situation of his?

I loved the story. Zac reminds me of the young Damien years ago and Evie reminds me of Henrietta back when she was 18. Does Zac and Evie have the same kind of love the Damien and Henrietta have? Is it an obsession are they Drawn together as Damien and Henrietta were?

This is a strong story of love and romance. I would love to see more in the Drawn series. If you loved the Drawn series and a story of young love I recommend this book to read.

If you are looking for your typical teenage drama induced book that has the heroine having the big decision about what shoes to wear with what outfit, then stay away from this book, because this book is none of those things. This is the kind of book that will have you ready to grab a hold of one of the side characters and make you wanna rip her a new one.
The female lead in this book is so strong and level headed I found myself being jealous of how well she held her head up, even with all the horrible things people said about her and her family. She was not only strong, she had the perfect amount of love inside her to make an impossible situation possible, and I loved every single thing about her.
The male lead may have only been an 18 years old boy, but the honest loving man he truly was shines through bright and you can't help but love him. He is working to care for his step family, he does what he has to do to try and keep them together despite the acts if his childish, immature stepsister. He never puts his feelings first and even though he has loved our heroine for years, he knows he will never have the time to be what she wants with all his responsibilities. But sometimes, fate has different plans.
From the time our couple comes together things aren't exactly smooth sailing but the greatest things in life are sometimes hard won, hard to keep, and makes things more special than they originally could have been.
The love between these two is one to last a life time and so special that I found myself yelling just do it, just allow yourself to believe it, that everything was going to be ok.
There were parts of this book that made me cry in both anguish and also anger. The fact that a sister could do to her family what she did, made me physically sick and had she been real I would had hunt her down. Now, that is, what a real author can do when she is exceptional at her writing abilities.
I loved this entire story and I am anxious to read the next installment.
I give this book a 5, OMG I am mentally worn out after finishing this book, stars.

The Drawn series was one I was very quickly sucked into, when Lilliana first discussed the concept of a choose your own hero sequel I was more than intrigued, being #TeamAaron I was excited to see the underdog have the chance at walking away with the girl. And whilst this probably seems irrelevant now, being that ultimately due to the overwhelming popularity of Drawn Redemption and Damien and Etta, Zac and Evie: Drawn To Fight is based on Damien and Etta's family and primarily their eldest daughter Evie.

The similarities between mother and daughter in choosing the seemingly bad boy to get caught up with seem obvious, the similarities end there though, where Etta was once the shy, naïve, sheltered young woman, Evie is street wise, strong, and independent, she knows all about using and being used for sexual gratification, and acceptance. After realising the boys she was turning to did nothing to help her self esteem or self worth she made the change and pulled herself out of those situations, while still living with the consequences of those actions, adding more gossip and a reputation to the list of things fellow school students already say about her.

Zac is used to reputations and gossip, brawler, scary dude, school drop out, these are things he's used to being called. But the reality is so different to what people think and say.

I want to tell you so much about these two, about this story, but this is a story much like it's parent book Drawn that you need to experience blind. The connection between Zac and Evie is raw and tangible in the way it leaps from the page. This isn't your standard teenage romance, or coming of age, the topics dealt with are real, and these two must not only fight the people who wish to drag them down, but fight to find their way to each other, and fight for each other.

If you're a lover of the Drawn series, Zac & Evie will give you the opportunity to catch up with old friends, and to see what's happened in the years since Etta and Damien found their happily ever after, and for those new to this family, you can step right into this spin off series and get to know these characters I have come to love.

This is a compelling and complex love story of Zac and Evie, two 18 yr olds that endured so much at a young age. I loved how the chapters went back and fourth between Zac and Evie you got to see situations from different perspectives. This story also has a strong message of how rumors, assumptions can seriously hurt a person. Evie has strong family support and two really good best friends to help her through and Zac has the responsibilities of taking care of his younger siblings as support to get him through his struggles. Evie and Zac seen each other at school but he disappears and they are reunited accidentally at party/fight match. The feel an instant connection and neither one can stop thinking about one another. Through their relationship Evie finds a new respect for he mom and Dad and family and realizes how lucky she is to be a Rhodes. Evie finally gets through to zac he has not failed anyone because he needed help and he finally gets that fact that he is loved not just by her but her family and friends and that she will fight for him and he is worth fighting for, and made it quite clear that he needed to fight for her and their love just as hard. I want to Thank Lilliana Anderson for giving me a copy of Drawn to Fight: Zac & Evie to read before it official release and trust me with an honest Review it was an honor. Thank you for sharing your talent and this amazing storing

This is a spin off series, but you do not have to have read the Drawn series to enjoy this book!

So Zac is a fighter, but not because he is angry, he does it for his family. He is an angry guy who uses that anger to make money to raise his younger brothers and sisters. He is all they have left after their parents left them, and he is determined not to let them down.

Evie is an outcast. If it isn’t her surname keeping people away, it’s the rumors about her and her family that will have most running. She is also trained in martial arts and can take care of herself. She loves watching the fights more than participating, and this is where she meets Zac again.

Zac and Evie together is a recipe for heat, with a dash of disaster. As much as he tries to warn her off, they are drawn to each other like magnets. He tries to keep his secrets hidden from her to protect her, but she is having none of that.

There is a lot of chemistry between these two, and the writing leaves a lot to the imagination, making it a book that is HOT, yet not graphic. There were times I wish it had more sexy times, but all in all it was very well done. I can’t wait to read the next book!

YES!!! The series continues! I was so happy to see that Lilliana had decided to give us more of the Drawn series. I loved Damien and Etta. Now I am completely in love with Zac and Evie. True to the Drawn series we meet Evie, Etta and Damien's first daughter and let me tell you she is just as strong and stubborn as the both of them combined. Then we meet Zac beautiful on the inside and out. A man trying to keep his family together no matter the cost. He has been secretly admiring Evie for years, not knowing that he was on her radar. When they finally meet it is explosive!
This book is filled with pain, longing and a love that is so beautiful that it will burn through you e-readers. There is nothing worth having that you don;t have to fight for, Evie has learned that love as strong as the one she has for Zac is something worth the fight.
I hope that we get more of this beautiful series!
If you haven't a clue who Etta and Damien are then ladies you need to start from the beginning to meet them. This book can be read as a stand alone but the complete series will give more background on this amazing series.

Review of "Zac & Evie (Drawn to Fight)"
By Lilliana Anderson

This book had me hooked from the very first page! I was so into it! It has been a long time since I read The Drawn Series, so it took me a bit to remember all that happened with that story, but as this book played out I remembered more and more. Even though it's a spin off of another book it can still be read as a stand alone. I loved how Evie's character was so much like both of her parents (their story was told in Drawn and Drawn 2 Redemption). She is strong-willed, and loves with all she's got, and she hasn't had it easy. It was the perfect personality match up for Zac. He needed someone to be strong for him and help him through all of the trials he was dealing with, and she needed to be loved for who she was and not her reputation. They were a perfect fit! I really just couldn't read this book fast enough! It was full of pain, emotional and physical, and really demonstrated of the healing power of love! Thanks Lilliana Anderson! You never let me down!!!

This isn’t a story I would typically read. The characters are quite young and I usually find young adult or new adult stories to be uninteresting and I usually struggle to connect to the characters, that being said, I did really enjoy this story. This was a story about fighting for survival, for your family, for your future and most importantly fighting for love. Both main characters were enjoyable and I liked how we got to see the dual perspectives, how we got to see inside both Evie & Zac’s heads. Poor Zac, he was really put in a tough spot for a lot of this book and my heart broke over the struggle he had to endure. I loved the connection between Evie & Zac it was written in a way that really made you feel the rawness of what they were feeling for one another. Anything worth having is worth fighting for.

* I was received an ARC for an honest review- "Obsessed by Books" *

I really enjoyed reading Drawn to Fight by Liliana Anderson. This was the first book in a new spinoff series. Is about Zac who is 18 years old and is a fighter in the in the ring. He needs the money to help take care of his brothers and sisters. He is always angry and uses his anger/frustration in the ring. Evie's family owns a gym where her parents who are also fighters. She is an outcast in high school.

I loved Zac he was a tough alpha male who fought in the ring to win money to help out his family.

Evie was also a tough young cookie, she knew about the fighting that happened in the gym.

I loved the storyline it was a quick read that I enjoyed. The characters were amazing. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series from Liliana Anderson

Wow what an amazing story, this is the first I've read from this author and I must admit I usually stay clear of new adult ones as I find them a bit immature for my liking but this one absolutely blew my mind. The characters had such depth for the young age of 18 that I found them inspiring.
While I found the first few chapters a bit slow at the beginning , it later became clear that they were necessary for the whole of the story. This book was one that I couldn't put down and it's been a while since I've read one like that. A few unexpected things along the way made it anything but predictable and I loved that. This was a freebie when I got it but would be worth paying for!!!!!
Being an Australian myself it was great to get all the references and language, what a fantastic Australian author and one I'll be reading again! 5 AMAZING stars!!!

Drawn To Flight had me from the start to end. We follow a 18 year old girl who has a past and by a chance encounter she meets Zac who is a fighter but has also lusted after her for years. I loved the chemistry that Zac and Evie had. I was also refreshing after reading so many books where the female is a virgin to finally have one where the male was and the scene where he finally loses his v card was so sweet. This book also reminded me of Real just with the fighting and the romance. I highly recommend this book to everyone and look forward to reading book 2 in the series. Well done on an awesome review Lillian.

Ms. Anderson does it again. She brought back our old favorites and introduced us to some new ones.

Story picks up with Damion and Henrietta's daughter being grown up. This is the story of her falling for the bad guy just like her mom did. The bad guy in question is Zac. Zac has always loved Evie but never felt worthy. We read about them going through all the obstacles life can throw at you.

This is a stand alone story. As usual the writing style was engaging and attention keeping. I love anything she writes. The characters are well thought out and well developed.

The story of Zac and Evie is in a way a continuation of the Drawn series so I think you really need to read them prior to this one to understand the emotions & appreciate how close to home this is for Evie's parents Damien and Etta.
Poor Zac, my heart broke over the struggles & sacrifices he had to endure for his siblings.
The relationship Zac and Evie has is sweet & typical for their age. It was so nice to see that the bad boy really wasn't bad at all.
I have to admit I was always Team Aaron in the series. It was nice to get a glimpse of him again.

This book is a continuation of the series but can be read alone. This book was beautifully written and placed you right in the scenes. You felt the emotions of each character. I loved how we got to see how Damien and Etta made it out. Even though, I was Team Aaron all the way. Aaron in the story was a great addition I am happy he got his happily ever after too. Can't wait continue with Meg's story next. Thank you again Liliana

I received this as an arc and was super excited to read it as it follows the drawn series and I knew I wouldn't be disappointed. I loved the character and that others from the previous books were also present.
The story line was also great and made me not able to put the book down. l like books with action, romance and throw in a little heart ache and they all win and love at the end...this had it all.

I loved this book. At first I thought that the book was going to be a predictable, but I am so glad I was wrong. I am glad this story continues with the children. I hope to read more in this series with the other children. Zac and Evie's story is great. Lilliana Anderson never disappoints.

I loved reading the first generation Drawn series and this was no different. Lilliana is incredibly talented and totally unputdownable.
