Kaya Azuma sensei’s latest series with 4 planned volumes, I’ve bought the first book in paper copy (special edition) so it’s not cheap and then read the second book online.
The feeling is a bit complicated because the sensei is trying a new genre of BL, leaning towards historical fantasy, maybe a bit suspense. So far it’s been a light-hearted read, I hope it won’t turn into Yuno Ichika ユノイチカ sensei’s Lullaby of the Dawn 夜明けの唄 type of complicated world.
The seme Rene ルネ is the seagull’s child with wings, got picked up as a baby and then growing up rapidly. The uke Evan エヴァン is a lonely lighthouse keeper grandpa with grey hair then keeps getting younger until they reach the same age… Not sure how many readers would like the fact that the seme is literally being raised by the uke 育成系, but the seme was super cute during the infant -> toddler stages. Bringing happiness and excitement to the uke’s repetitive daily routine without companion…
It’s very unusual that everyone on the island just simply accept the strange transformation of the main characters without question… The seme is mixing right in, becoming friends with young orphans from the church and the young man who brings supply to the lighthouse. Whereas the uke’s being teased by other grandpas at the island festival climbing challenge that he’s the only one becoming young and strong again…

💜 Questo manga è davvero carinissimo! Questo primo volume è divertente e bello movimentato!
▪︎ Il vecchio Evan è il guardiano del faro. Il suo, è un lavoro importante, grazie a lui le navi tornano sicure al porto. La sua vita è lenta e monotona, e il tempo è scandito dal susseguirsi del giorno e della notte, e dal diario.
Finché il mare, una notte, gli porta una barca senza equipaggio. Dentro di essa, solo un pulcino di gabbiano.
Evan si prende cura del cucciolo infreddolito finché...sorpresa, sorpresa!, il mattino seguente, al posto dell'uccellino, si ritrova con un bimbetto fornito di ali!
Comincia così una straordinaria convivenza, mentre una misteriosa magia riporta Evan alla giovinezza e il paese accetta René, il ragazzo gabbiano, come un dono del dio del mare...
Il loro rapporto è meraviglioso, René è buffo e pieno di vita, tutto ciò che serve a Evan, il quale porta nel cuore un peso che viene appena accennato, ma sembra un po' triste.
