Havoc We’re at war and I don’t even know who the enemy is… Being the president of the Children of Chaos Motorcycle Club means it’s my responsibility to find out before the drugs coming into our little town kill any more of our kids. I need to focus all my energy on winning a seemingly unbeatable battle, not on my new next-door neighbor, who doesn’t understand boundaries and has something to say about everything, like my teenage son, Creed, riding motorcycles and how often I should throw parties. It doesn’t help that Creed thinks she can do no wrong just because she keeps bringing over food and is pretty. Pretty women cause trouble…without fail. Every time I think I know who Greer is, she surprises me in the very best way.
Greer A new start in a small town close enough to Urbium that I can visit my family, but far enough away that I don’t see my ex and his new wife, sounded like a great idea. Silent Valley is the opposite of quiet, with my biker neighbor throwing loud parties all the time. How long has it been since I’ve heard anyone laugh like him? He does it all the time with his son. Creed is a carbon copy of his father, without the grumpy attitude. It’s not like I’m looking for a date. The ink is barely dry on my divorce papers, and trusting a man is impossible right now.
Havoc's Path is a no spice dark motorcycle club suspenseful romance, featuring steamy kisses with a decided lack of cursing and violence.
ARC Review: I always love reading a Darklight sisters book! And this was another fun one. As always, the story is a continuation of what’s going on in the world created by the authors. Havoc and Greer had some strong personalities. For a while there, I didn’t even want them to get together. But of course, things finally work out, after a handful of misunderstandings… not a favorite trope, by the way. Honestly my favorite character was Creed. Now, that’s the one who needs a story soon!
Rora Noir’s books are unlike anything else I read in the best way! Their style of writing is unique and I look forward to reading their books because I also know they’re going to be non-tropey and there will be super protective MMCs! And Havoc’s Path was no different! Havoc is the president of the Children of Chaos motorcycle club and while they do operate in the dark side of this world, they also fiercely protect their women and children, and those in their community. Havoc is a single dad to teenage Creed and has some major trust issues when it comes to women. And then he gets an attractive single woman for a new neighbour, which is Greer, coming out of a failed marriage.
Things I loved specifically about Havoc’s Path: - Havoc’s relationship with Creed - it was so beautiful and sweet and Creed thinks the world of his dad - how Creed befriends Greer - this was dual POV and both Havoc and Greer’s thoughts and inner monologues were so entertaining! - how Havoc leads and cares for the brotherhood - as in book 1, once these biker guys know what they want, they go “from zero to eighty in two point two seconds. So don’t be surprised if he goes from saying no to a kiss to handing you a ring.” !
Also, just to note, this is the second book in this series and it has a lot of characters. A lot of those overlap from Book 1, as well as books from the Sweet Atonement series so to best keep things straight and get the most enjoyment out of the book, I would say to start with Dark Love.
The only reason it’s not a 5 star for me is because I love to get lots of on page couple time and there wasn’t enough of that for me in this one!
This series has zero language, no spice and no violence/gore.
Well, I told myself I would just read a small sample of the book and then finish it later. Nope. I could not put it down. I loved this. The romance was amazing, and the banter between these two was fantastic. Who does not love a neighbors enemies to more romance. Add in the swoony, overprotective bikers and all the amazing side characters, and I was hooked.
Greer is starting over, with a baby on the way and a new community and her dream house all set up. The only problem is her neighbor, Havoc. Now, Creed, Havoc’s son, is wonderful, sweet, and a gentleman for a young boy, but his father is an instantly rude grump who will not give Greer the time of day. They are immediately at odds. But as Creed and Greer become friends, Havoc starts to truly get to know her and realize how wrong he was about her. As feelings begin to grow, insecurities, secrets, and misunderstandings create chaos for them. And if that is not enough, Greer may end up not just fighting to prove herself capable, but fighting to stay alive!
If you like enemies to more, you have to pick this book up. The arguing between these two is top notch, and when the feelings start breaking through, you will be hooked. The twists and turns in the story will have you clutching your heart or grabbing a tissue. It is a roller coaster of emotions that I loved being on. I am excited for the next book, but now Bram needs a story. There are far too many single men in the mix that I want happy endings for, lol!
I gave this 4.5 stars, rounded to a 5!
I received a complimentary copy. This review reflects my honest opinion.
This was an interesting installment in this no spice dark romance series. Havoc is the President of the Motorcycle Club and Greer comes from money. She ends up in his small town after her husband divorces her for a younger model. She struggled with infertility for years before finally getting a positive test the morning her husband gave her divorce papers. These two are neighbors and Havoc has a teenage son who plays a large part in the story. The Club lingo of “old lady,” etcetera is definitely strong in this book.
There were some things that took me out of the book. It took me until almost 20% in to realize we were doing the grumpy/sunshine trope because Havoc is extremely judgmental and that completely overshadowed it for me. He also does quite a bit of drinking (more in the first half than the last). There is also underage drinking. Havoc’s excuse is “a teenager drinking in their home with parental supervision is legal in most states.” However, there were also other children in that backyard drinking and bringing in more drinks for the group.
I enjoyed seeing so many characters and getting to know the Club and its members more. There were many good parts of this book and it definitely had a twist and some suspense right at the end. I’m looking forward to more from this series and these authors. The romance is just kisses, intimacy level 2.

I received an eARC of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
This Biker club suspenseful dark romance has no spice, no profanity, and no gore/graphic violence.
Rora Noir does it again. Another excited read that is impossible to put down! So many amazing characters- so many mysteries and secrets. And the tension and swoon - so good!
This book works as a standalone, but I enjoy it most in the context of the series (Sweet Chaos series about the Children of Chaos Biker club and the Sweet Atonement series with mafia men).
Note: It is considered dark because the characters face really dark situations and fight against darkness (human trafficking, drugs, etc) NOT because the relationships are toxic or dark. Darkness isn’t glorified.
Expect: 🌸 Morally-grey, single-dad, protective MMC 🌸 FMC billionaire (fish out of water) 🌸 Next door neighbors 🌸 Enemies to more 🌸 Both have sworn off love (famous last words) 🌸 Meddling teenage son 🌸 Biker club / found family 🌸 Strong sisterhood of friends 🌸 Women who save each other and themselves 🌸 Men who will do anything to save their loved ones 🌸 Secrets, mysteries & so many wrong assumptions 🌸 Small town 🌸 Happy Ending
⚠️ Content warnings/ Triggers - Kidnapping - Divorce - Infertility, IVF - Pregnancy - Single parenting - Drug addiction (side character) - Teen died due to drug overdose (past, off page) - Teenage drinking - Snow storm - hypothermia - Appropriate discussions of physical intimacy - Horrible exes
Havoc, president of the Children of Chaos MC, lives in the gray areas of the world; but his loyalty to his club, his community, and especially his son Creed makes him impossible not to root for. As a single dad with deep trust issues, the last thing he expects is Greer (his new neighbor) quietly rebuilding her life after a painful marriage.
The MC dynamic here is so well done. The brotherhood feels authentic, tight-knit, and fiercely protective, and I absolutely loved the bond between Havoc and Creed. Their father-son relationship was such a highlight—fun, heartfelt, and full of moments that made me smile. Greer’s journey, though heartbreaking at first, was beautiful to watch as she slowly stepped into her strength and reclaimed herself. And the Spinster’s group? Pure gold. The kind of supportive, ride-or-die friendships we all need.
That said, Havoc definitely tested my patience. His prejudice and constant judgment toward Greer felt frustrating, especially when he knew better. The miscommunication trope didn’t fully land for me either—he’s a grown man.
Still, despite those moments, I enjoyed it and had a great time with this one and I’m definitely sticking with the series. Thank you to the author for this eARC, this is my honest review.
I’m not a fan of the misunderstanding trope or love triangles and for a while thats the direction the story seemed to be leaning towards. Which also made me not like Havoc very much, as MMC’s go in this universe he’s not a favourite, simply because of his assumptions about Greer. Overall, a good read. Creed was great as a character and Greer’s friends were solid. There was a lot happening in the book but often the side stories took precedence. As a standalone I would rate it ⭐️⭐️⭐️, as a connected story… not sure until we get to the end to be honest. We don’t really get to see this couple deepen their friendship/ relationship. Perhaps I’ve been spoilt by experiencing the other couples by this author in this universe, but the new generation couples aren’t cutting it like Talon & Temperance, Emilia and Ethan, Matthew & Louisella, Aleksie and Lillian etc. The recent releases have been shorter books and I think that’s affected how much I’ve enjoyed the story. The writer remains a favourite and I’m interested to know where this unravelling of a backstory will lead.
Oh. My. Goodness. It's not very often that a book takes me through so many emotions so quickly! From anger to swoon in a matter of pages! I won't give away who I was angry with but it is intense! The author does a great job of immersing you into the characters lives and world. I actually read this book in one sitting because I couldn't stop reading!
This book is a no-spicy, kisses only romance that deals with dark sides of the world. It is told in dual POV of the FMC and MMC. It is part of a series and part of a few interconnected series. It is not necessary to read the other series, or even books in this series, to understand what is happening but it will be more enjoyable if you read it with the series. The author has a few large plots that cross the whole series that are not solved in one book. It is engaging and makes me want to read more to find out what happens to the characters I grew to love.
I'm so excited to be back with the Children of Chaos and see into Havoc's life. The MC club dynamic is perfectly done and I love the brotherhood that the group has. Havoc and Creed are such a fun duo. I loved seeing their father-son bond and how great they were together. The beginning of Greer's story made me so sad for her but I loved seeing her grow into her own skin and be true to herself. I have to admit that the Spinster's group is such a fantastic group to be a part of. They truly show up for each other.
Havoc annoyed me a little with how prejudice and judgmental he was with Greer. I think that's something that just irked me throughout the story. I liked learning why he was the way he was but he just kept being mean to Greer. The part with the miscommunication bothered me because he's an adult and should have handled that entire situation better. His son had more sense than him.
Either way, it was still enjoyable and I will definitely continue this series.
A great addition to the series! It is the second book in the series and I would recommend reading these books in order so you know who’s who and everything! Also you meet some people from the Dark Atonement Series as well so I would recommend reading those if you get a chance😍 Creed was my all time favorite charter🥰 he was the best😂 and I am SO curious about Rothswyler👀 also I wanna be Winnie when I grow up😂😂😂 The miscommunication trope is one of my most hated ones and it popped up a few times in this story which I wasn’t a fan of💔 Havoc freaked out over assumptions too much for my liking. I love the splash of mystery throughout this series and I can’t wait to read more to find out everything that happens😍
🌨️Single Parent ✨Morally Grey MMC 🌨️Neighbors to Lovers ✨Grumpy/Sunshine 🌨️Slow Burn ✨He Falls First
This book is really funny. It definitely has dark events and topics, but it's also really funny. The characters are so fun. Creed and Havoc are such a fun father son duo. The neighbor fights are hilarious. It's the funniest miscommunication trope ever. Something I really enjoy about these books is how the stories weave together. You can see some of the other books happening in the background and it gives the impression of a fully inhabited world of chaos and fun. I also absolutely love the way typically "bad guys" are actually men of outstanding character....with some definite bad employed for good ends.
I received an ARC copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Greer’s story is about overcoming anything that’s holding you back and letting go of the people that do the same. I love this crazy, loyal, intense, loving, do anything for the ones they love family. It’s full of beautifully strong, capable women that can and do rescue themselves and men who adore and will do anything to protect them. Havoc and Greer are perfect for each other! Rita Noir/Aurora Darklight have crafted this found family that can and will do anything for each other. Havoc definitely has some issues to work through but so does Greer. I love their story and just want MORE! Always more. 🚫🤬🚫🌶️
Another fun and entertaining read in this series! I've never been all that interested in hot biker guys, but this series makes me doubt that decision. 😂 A silver fox with a beard and tatts who's fiercely loyal and protective? Yes, please!
Admittedly, miscommunication is a big theme in here. And while that's usually not my favorite, I can handle this one. We get some background info to help explain it.
Plus, there's banter, humor, brotherly love, and a beautiful female friendship going on that kept me reading and loving all these characters.
⚠️ No cursing 🫑 Kisses only
Thanks so much to the authors for a chance to ARC read for them!
I really loved Havoc and Greer’s story - the grumpiest neighbor ever v. the beautiful, recently divorced neighbor - both not even remotely interested in falling in love. The MCs were great, but all of the side characters were so fun too! Creed, the cheeky, matchmaking son, Winnie, Greer’s bestie who seems a bit stabby, and so many more you will recognize from previous books!
Havoc - he was a whole mess of wild assumptions! He repeatedly crammed his foot in his mouth. I thoroughly enjoyed the holes he kept digging for himself!
Greer - I loved her! A sweet, stealthy billionaire boss just trying to figure out her new life in a new town.
Great characters, great story, and a lovely twisty mystery that continues even after this book is done! 💖
i really enjoyed the dynamics between Greer and Havoc and i also loved how Greer took Creed under her arms! These books from Rora Noir are easy to read and has the right amount of hinted at violence that i expect for a closed door mafia romance book. the only thing that bugs me is i feel like the story just ended. i know they continue the stories in the coming books but I'm used to reading finality at the end of books so its just a change of routine there haha
I did receive an eARC and this review is my honest opinion
I love love love these books! It would be great if there was some type of character connection reference though. I love how connected each series is but it’s hard to keep track of everyone and remember which friend belongs to which friend group. Especially now that the author group and the childhood friend group are blending.
I enjoyed it. It’s not the best thing out there but I love that it’s a clean romance and the inner dialogue of the characters is the best part. It’s written in a way that’s really quick and easy to read
Can’t begin to describe how utterly obsessed I continue to be with every character in this series . Greer and Havocs story did not disappoint and Creed is 10/10.
