Simon Inglis self-deprecatingly refers to himself as a 'stadium expert'. You might have to be a stadium enthusiast yourself to fully appreciate this book, something of an existential discourse as the author analyses his field of expertise, and obsession from ancient Rome to the grounds of the future, and ponders what sports stadiums mean to us.
