A.A. Lewis absolutely, positively, without question needs to narrate this book herself, sexily and nastily exactly the way she wrote it. From all the promos circulating, I could literally hear her voice in my head while reading, and let me tell you…it only made the story hit harder.🥵
So boom: The Quiet Storm is a tale of a love lost too soon, a forbidden love rediscovered, and a whole midnight radio station filled with lonely souls calling in to spill their most intimate SEXfessions. And baby, the confessions were confessing. Steamy, erotic, enticing, and downright nasty, scenarios, these callers put every last one of their sexcapades on display like they were auditioning for after-hours cable. And Strawberry Jones, she was right there for it all, soaking it in, unfiltered and laid bare like a porn star under studio lights.
But beneath the heat and the heavy breathing is a love story quietly humming in the background. When it steps forward, you see a woman determined to say no, protecting her peace, her heart, and her future. And you see a man just as determined to make her say yes…yes to him, yes to a love that should’ve flourished years ago, and yes to a life they both secretly never stopped wanting.

Fighting for True Love
Sometimes, you have to fight for true love. The story of Strawberry and Lamar was messy, beautiful, and rough.
I love the way Strawberry always gave her listeners the opportunity to express themselves. I remember growing up listening to the Quiet Storm on the radio. The host did the same thing as Strawberry in the studio.
It wasn't until her life with Lamar played out that things got rare. Lamar, being the public, could cause a lot. His hurt ex tried to make things worse than what they were. I love how Lamar stood up for the love of his life. He even explained to the world.
Strawberry had to go through all the emotions to get true love. Lamar fought never to lose her. Both of them expressing their relationship on live was the truth. The readers and callers got to see it.
I was also glad that he asked her to marry him on live. Sometimes, you have to fight for true love.
I love A A Lewis work. Her pen game is amazing. I also love what she does outside of writing!!

DJ Strawberry Jones leaps off the page with a voice so smooth and sensual that I could hear her in my head. The music references took me out — Prince’s “Adore,” Lisa Fischer’s “How Can I Ease the Pain,” and so many Quiet Storm classics. It was like listening to a soundtrack while watching the scenes unfold.
The listener confessions? Whew. I was absolutely clutching my pearls. And the dynamic between Strawberry and Congressman Lamar — layered, complicated, and written with so much authenticity — kept me turning the pages way past midnight.
A.A. Lewis is officially on my auto-read list. Thanks to her (and BRAE), I’ve discovered so many talented authors. My Kindle is overloaded and my TBR has exploded — in the best way.

One thing about Miss AA, she gon spice you down, hunny! I'm talkin Mediterranean spice, Asian spice, Creole spice... Whatever it is, it's always gonna be hot!!

I loved everything about this book:
- The musical playlist - every time she listed a song it was so nostalgic and you had to just sing about it a little bit before you finished reading.
- The witty and sassy banter of the radio host was everything.
- The Congressional mess and drama!
- And let's not even get started on those insanely spicy confessions!
I have never wanted a book turned into an audiobook more than this one. It would be so much fun. I cannot more highly recommend this book than I am right now!

Whew Chile!
If you NOT ready for the dirt, don't read. This book had me on the edge of my seat. There were even moments I had to take a break cause I was tingling! A.A., baby, you did your big one! I could actually hear Strawberry and Congressman voices! Let me just say I'm glad I didn't listen to audible cause the clips I heard were amazing! I probably would have never finished trying to take 100 breaks! This book is hit and sexy. This is trolley an adult book. You have been warned.

This story is juicy, spicy, and full of love and second chances. Love is proven and protected. But Strawberry is a radio host and those late night confessions are something serious: hot, forbidden, sneaking, and is what late night confessions are all about. You'll get a little horny at times, so your partner or toy is needed. I laughed and hollered because Strawberry Jones 🍓 is made for the radio.

I’m starting to love an after hours radio show 😮💨 and this one did NOT disappoint. Late night conversations and confessions can get messy, and Strawberry’s radio show definitely did!
The stories were steamy, the romance was romancing—what’s a girl not to love? This was the perfect late night read right before bed. And the song selections? Tea. This was my first A.A. Lewis book and it ain’t my lastttttt.

Do you limit yourself or are you willing to explore. Have you or had you been in those situations would you handle things differently. Strawberry and Lamar did nothing wrong and were faced with everyone's criticism. Did they handle it correctly? I think so. Read and share your thoughts.
