Alien Attachment: A Steamy Scifi Romance

Rate this book
Fated mates don't always meet cute. Sometimes they meet in shipping containers. One simple never open the cargo. Too bad I've never been good at following rules.
Now I'm psychically bonded to Jhorn—a devastatingly gorgeous alien who was supposed to be delivered to some corporate client, not accidentally freed by a broke courier with terrible impulse control. He's touch-starved, protective, and way too good at making me forget why getting attached is dangerous.

The problem? ApexCorp wants their "property" back, and they're not picky about collateral damage. We're running out of fuel, credits, and places to hide. But every time those tentacles wrap around me, every electric pulse that sends pleasure racing through our bond, I care a little less about the bounty on our heads and a lot more about keeping him.

They made me to bond. They did not make me to choose. But I choose Kaylee—fierce, stubborn, perfect Kaylee who sees me as more than a weapon. Her touch ignites circuits that shouldn't exist. Her laugh makes my tentacles flare like a beacon. Through our bond, I feel her loneliness, her buried need for connection, her growing desire that matches my own.

ApexCorp will destroy her to reclaim me. I will not allow this. She thinks I'm the one who needs protecting, but she is precious beyond measure—my light, my anchor, my choice. I was designed for devotion, but what I feel for her transcends programming. And I will burn the galaxy before I let them take her from me.

Alien Attachment is a high-heat alien romance featuring a touch-starved hero with tentacles and the broke courier who accidentally becomes his entire world.

Alien Attachment is the second book in The You’ve Got Mail series by Lara Roth, Jorn was made to obey and was never thought to be able to bond but one look at Kayla and all bets are off, they’re not only bonded his tentacle is permanently hooked around her wrist. Stubborn, surley Kayla is really starting not to mind at all… Although she would never admit it. Kayla acts unaccepting of their match but it doesn’t stop her from fleeing the space quadrant to try and keep Jorn away from Apex and the bandits they sent to find them. If only their bond wouldn’t shine so bright. Jorn has never been allowed to choose and when it comes to his tentacles around Kayla he still has no say so to Kayla‘s amusement but will they be able to live in harmony or will they be running and stealing ships from bandits for the rest of their life. I know this review is horrible and there is so much more to this book but I don’t have time to do a lengthy review which I’m sure most people won’t notice but just know this is a great book another grand slam by the awesome sci-fi romantic author who has never written a book I didn’t love. I cannot wait for the next book in the series and yes a definite must read! #Book sprout, #TheBlindReviewer, #MyHonestReview, #LauraRoth, #AlienAttachment, #You’veGotMail,

Alien Attachment by Lara Roth is the kind of story that sneaks up on you—equal parts pulse-pounding danger, sizzling intimacy, and raw emotion that had me absolutely glued to the page. From the moment Kaylee cracked open that shipping container (breaking the number one rule of her courier job), I knew I was in for a ride. What I didn’t expect was how deeply this book would feel.

Kaylee is messy, stubborn, and so achingly human in her loneliness. She’s trying to survive in a galaxy that doesn’t care about people like her, and suddenly she’s psychically bonded to Jhorn—an alien designed to obey, but desperate to choose. Their bond is electric (literally), but what really made me melt was the way it went beyond attraction. It’s intimacy, it’s vulnerability, it’s two people finding exactly what they’ve been missing in each other, even when everything around them is screaming that they’re doomed.

And Jhorn. Oh, Jhorn. If you love your alien heroes protective, touch-starved, and growling mine like it’s the only word in the galaxy—this book delivers. His devotion to Kaylee is fierce and tender all at once. He doesn’t just want her, he chooses her. That difference? It made every single scene between them sizzle.

The stakes are high with ApexCorp hunting them, and the action is relentless—there are no safe harbors, just close calls, stolen moments, and a growing love that feels unstoppable even in the face of danger.

By the end, I wasn’t just rooting for Kaylee and Jhorn to survive—I was rooting for them to burn the galaxy down together if that’s what it took to stay bonded.

This book is wild, steamy, and unexpectedly emotional, and I loved every second of it. If you’re into fated mates with a sci-fi twist, accidental bonds that turn into forever, and aliens who worship their heroines like they hung the stars—this is absolutely your next read.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 glowing tentacle-wrapped stars.

Gleeful Goblin Review: The writing in this book is the kind that gives you tingles in the best way. I've seen a lot of descriptions of the psychic bond forming between partners in sci-fi romances but I especially love ones like this where the experience is described so vividly: “And I’m definitely not yours. Let go of me.” A flicker of hurt crosses his features, and I feel an echo of it through whatever connection has formed between us. “Cannot,” he says, his voice softer now, almost vulnerable. “Bond formed. You opened. I emerged. We are connected now.” “What do you mean, ‘connected’?” Even as I ask, I can feel him—not just the warm weight of his tent@cle around my wrist, but something deeper. A presence in my mind that wasn’t there before, alien but not entirely unwelcome. Instead of answering with words, he closes his eyes and suddenly I’m flooded with sensation—not pain this time, but something like standing in sunlight after being in darkness for too long. Warmth, relief, and underneath it all, a bone-deep sense of rightness that makes my toes curl in my boots. “Like this,” he says, opening his eyes again. His gaze is intense, intim@te, like he can see straight through to my soul. “I feel you. You feel me.” As much as Keylee does have an immediate draw to Jhorn, she does a pretty good job of resisting the bond and trying to push him away for a while. But love, the bond, and Jhorn aren't going anywhere.

Jhorn is basically a high octane golden retriever love interest and I can't get enough. He's biologically engineered to be bonded but what he feels with Kaylee is genuine from the very start. It kinda hurts to see him trying so hard to be unobtrusive and helpful but still being pushed away by Kaylee. Though in fairness, as someone who also struggles with accepting love and care from others....I kinda get it.

This is a story that will consistently yank on your heartstrings but also make you like it. 5/5 Stars

'His eyes snap open, revealing irises so dark they’re almost black, with pupils that seem to swirl with depths I could fall into.
And somehow, impossibly, I know instantly that he sees me. More than that— he recognizes me, which should be impossible because I’ve never seen anything like him before. There’s an intensity in his gaze that makes my skin tingle and my breath catch.'
“Found you,” he whispers, his voice a low rasp that vibrates through my bones and settles somewhere low in my belly. “At last.”

I loved this book. It was a fun, fast-paced romance. The story was an adventure with suspense, danger, and action, and I was hooked to the page. Great world building and wonderful characters. I loved both Kaylee and Jhorn. The chemistry between them was scorching. I loved how strong their connection was- each fulfilled something the other needed. I loved the dynamic between them and the way their relationship developed. But there was a lot of danger after them from ApexCorp hunting them down to get Jhorn back. I was all in! 5 stars

Pure Sci-Fi Romance Entertainment!!

Kaylee works for OOPS, the Orion Outpost Postal Service. In a delivery gone wrong, damaged cargo reveals a “Bio-Asset”. In other words, a genetically modified humanoid; Jhorn. Created to “connect”, he immediately connects with Kaylee. A bond. A tendril. A sharing of feelings and emotions. Conveniently he can also connect with machinery, and Kaylee’s ship which needs an assist to outrun ApexCorp who wants their property back.

Kaylee is used to being on her own. A tendril connection is quite disturbing and uncomfortable for her, initially. As the bond goes both ways, she can feel he only wants to protect and take care of her. It hurts him to no longer connect.

Entertaining and humorous, in addition to the danger and need for survival. This hits all levels of storyline and character development, resulting in a delightful read!

Enjoying this series!

I love how this series is different! Postal Service in Space…. has been fun and contains the elements of danger, attraction and spicy. This book had more of a slow burn but the alien was interesting as he realized what he was created for and what he could do after being locked away in a stasis chamber. The way the first book ended made me think it would tie into this book but it never did. They were going to go in search of the missing postal worker? Idk 🤔 I thought maybe they would of offered sanctuary on their asteroid or something. The bonus read for this book…..definitely should of been the ending! I highly recommend the bonus read!! It ties up that loose end of them being constantly in limbo. Great conclusion!! 😊

That’s a lot of tentacles!

Being a courier for Orion Outpost Postal Service (OOPS) is a challenging job with one main rule - never open the cargo. Easier said than done when it’s cracked and seeping something. Kaylee was never good at following rules, which is why she is now bonded to an alien. He’s big, gorgeous, and has roaming tentacles that cannot leave her alone. Even worse, the shipper wants their “property” back and will stop at nothing to get it.

This is a steamy, alien romance with danger, humor, and likable characters. This is shaping up to be a good series. I received a free copy, but my review is honest and voluntary.

Psychic bonds, unmatched heights of pleasure
Rich, vibrantly visual writing carried along with on-point dry humour that I found hilarious and engaging. Toss in a sexy genetically manufactured tentacled alien MMC and a stress driven, sassy, reluctantly resourceful FMC and you have matches made in heaven. Part of a series but easily read as a standalone story. Full of escape plots. There’s an underlying theme of programmed behaviour vs free choice that I found intriguing and applicable to us all really. I am enjoying this series and this author’s writing style.

This was another fun adventure romance and again, I loved the fated mates aspect to this one. Kaylee isn't supposed to open any containers on her cargo ship but one was leaking... When she finds a sentient male that's being trafficked by a corporation, well, she steps in. Jhorn is a protective alien, with tentacles, and he is desperate to have choice in his life. Bonding to Kaylee was definitely a fab choice and these two sure bring the heat. Expect to get swept up in this well written and engaging romance that has action, danger, suspense, twists and high stakes romance...and tentacles ;P

“Alien Attachment” by Lara Roth

-A pulse-pounding mix of danger, steam, and heart, this story hooks the reader from the first page. I received a free copy and am voluntarily sharing my honest thoughts.

Kaylee’s rule-breaking curiosity bonds her to Jhorn, a protective alien who craves choice as much as her love. Their connection is sizzling yet tender, growing stronger with every chase and close call.

A thrilling, emotional alien romance perfect for fans of fated mates and high-stakes adventure. It’s amazing what you can find in a shipping container!

Alien Attachment by Lara Roth is the 2nd in this series featuring human women who haul cargo throughout space, often cargo that's not quite legal. Kaylee opens a package whose casing has broken and discovers a sentient male being trafficked by a corporation. They try over and over to escape from discovery, coming to realize that there is definite attraction between a human woman and a male created for pleasure and protection.

This was another cute endearing story that is about Kaylee our courier from OOPS who opened a biological package designated for ApexCorp when the container was compromised. Out comes Jhorn who wraps a tentacle around her wrist bonding to her. What happens next as they evade ApexCorp who wants him back was an engaging story I'd enjoyed reading. Jhorn was protective sweetheart and Kaylee whose been lonely finds someone to love in this story. There's lots of drama, action, and romance in this copy I'd received and volunteer to read and review.

Alien Attachment

I gave this one a 4 even though I love the book and the premise and the characters. There were just several places in the book that really need to be cleaned up. There are a few plot holes and several repeated phrases and instances that need to be taken care of to make it flow. I'm an editor so that probably gets to me more than other people, but the story would flow a lot better if those things were taken care of. I do love Jhorn and how they come together. Great story.

Kaylee transports cargo around this particular route for 6 months. She is transporting cargo for Orion Outpost Postal Service, usually iffy stuff. She has no one other than Lila her AI for company and her ship named Nomad her home, she takes care of both.
Alien Attachment is part of the You’ve got Alien Mail series. A great read with a great storyline and amazing characters. Make sure you grab this read and the rest of the series and enjoy this five-star read.

Tentacles and Tendrils
The OOPS Courier service is not for the faint hearted. Great quick read about Kaylee and JHorn, so full of energy and drama. What's a girl to do when she discovers that her 'bio samples' package is actually a living breathing individual.
Enjoyed every minute of it and looking forward to the next OOPS.

From Package to Partner
Kaylee knows she should open the shipping container from ApexCorp, but when it partially opens and starts cycling through stasis cycles, she knows she needs to open it. What she finds is Jhorn, who immediately bonds with her. This story is adventure- filled and fun, and I particularly liked Jhorn’s tentacle capabilities. An entertaining read.

Good read🌟

Kaylee knows better than to open a container but in this case its a must. Jhorn is captivated from the beginning. After a steep learning curve these two learn to be a partnership. Then add an interesting entity? Enjoy

pretty good!

I liked this story in the series up until one of the characters had a pronoun problem. I was so confused. It took me a bit to understand there was only 1 person there. Took me right out of the story. Kind of ruined it for me.
