The dude I loathe is about to come down my throat.
Levi Hayes is the last person I want to be stuck with during the storm of the century. He’s a spoiled rich guy who gets everything handed to him on a golden platter.
But when I’m stranded with nowhere to go, he offers me shelter.
Once we’re locked inside his underground bunker, I find out there’s more to Levi than the stupidly handsome, entitled jerk I thought he was.
Before long, there’s another storm raging. A category 5 eruption in my pants.
I loved this book. It was such a fun, fast-paced story. I was quickly hooked. I loved both Daniel and Levi. I liked the dynamic between them- both students, but one very wealthy and one very poor and struggling. Daniel is very bitter at the seeming ease of Levi's life while he struggles to afford either food or gas, and can't get a full night's sleep. But when the danger of a hurricane forces Daniel to go to Levi for help, he was surprised the man helped him right away. Neither were friends despite sharing a class, so I liked them seeing who the other really was instead of just relying on their own perceptions- and misconceptions. A fun story that soon gets heated. 5 stars
Riding Out The Storm is about Daniel, who is working at the gas station and tries to get home before hurricane hits and Levi, who is rich, and Daniel hates him.
Daniel drives by Levis's house in hurricane when tree falls down Daniel's driving path, so he needs to ask Levis's help. Levi is not that arrogant Daniel thinks he is.
I liked the story, I think this is my favorite book by Lucas.
————————————————————————— I received a copy of this book and this is my honest review
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I liked how a really bad storm has two guys who had noticed each other before acting on their desires. I'm glad Levi and Daniel can clear up misconceptions about each other and find someone to be with.
I really enjoyed this book. I expected a quick, steamy read and it definitely delivered on that —but it also surprised me with its unexpected sweetness. For something that’s about 90% m/m erotica, it had a lot more heart than I anticipated. Thank you Lucas, it was definitely well worth the read.
"I only know that this pain-pleasure I feel, this sweet torture, is beyond anything I could’ve imagined. It’s death and rebirth at once. A purification. A purging. A cleansing of the soul. People who’ve never experienced true euphoria clearly haven’t had a cock up their ass, because holy fucking shit, this is a spiritual experience."
A fun read. We do not have to have great expectations, but this is a light, fun read, and quite enjoyable. A relatively quick but enjoyable read. Worthwhile, enjoy.
