Dulce Vee: Special Edition Y'all

Nearly two years ago, I was nearly dead when Kaysee Belluomo drained me completely of my blood. However, a peculiar angel with a tarnished halo and fangs, by the name of Jarod Fox, came to my rescue and saved my life, albeit by turning me into a vampire.
LET ME START BY SAYING, I DIDN’T ASK TO BE A VAMPIRE, BUT IT’S BEEN, LIKE, THE COOLEST THING EVER.
I was finally acclimated to being a blood-sucking vamp and now I was being considered to be queen of a failing vampire kingdom, after the Reina and Rey were slain. Wow! Is this real life? Lil’ old me? A vampire queen? It was an unrealistic fantasy, which may never come to fruition if Princesa Santana Alamilla, who wanted the crown more, had her way and, kill me.
Who woulda thought this little Rodeo Queen had the potential to be a Vampire Queen? Hell, I didn’t, but I was up for the challenge.
Would I finally meet a Prince Charming to replace the void in my heart every man left? Not sure about that either, but dreams are a wish your heart makes, right?

After being attacked by a crazy vampire on a bus Valainah was hanging on by a thread. When an angel that brought her back to life. That angel was a vampire name Jarod. Who with is mentor Rainer have been helping her for the last two years . Once she finally gets a hang of being a vampire things happen and she is thrust into the place she didn't want to go back to Seattle where she is in training for what we are not sure of yet . Some people want her dead and the others want her to become the queen. She really doesn't know who to trust but with Jarod and Rainer's help she might might make it to take over for the queen Alimilla who's family name has been tainted . Valainah is the twin for this queen and they hope they can get her in power. Now she must lead an army to fight queen Alimilla . Will they be able to come out of this alive.
These characters are wild and so much fun to read . Valainah is a tough as nails young woman . She had the world at her feet she had her life mapped out until the day she met her boyfriend and they moved to Seattle. She was a typical young woman with dreams and ambitions. Wise cracking and always pushing the boundaries with the people in power. Jarod is her friend and maker , a fun loving vampire who likes to crack a joke at the wrong time , almost like a father figure in her life. When someone hurts Vee he is the first one to get to her, He is her confidant and honestly her best friend. Rainer well he is kind of a geek lack of a better word . He is always there tsking and shaking his head at Vee . They may feel like they are being driven crazy by Vee , they are her fiercest protectors and family . We also get to know some of the other characters that round out the cast . There are a lot of characters that we meet through out the book . Like Emarosa who trains Vee and well kind of it seems a grudge against her . Each character is well written and you really start to like them and cheer for them.
This is one of those books that can really surprise you . You think it is going to be a brooding dark vampire story. Turns out to be a laugh out loud story that you can get lost in. The main characters fight like they are family but they really do care for each other . You can't help but care for them and laugh at them. This is the first book I have read from this author and I really want to dive into book two in the series to see what happens to everyone. Yes this book leaves you on a cliff hanger but the good thing the second book is out all ready . This could be a fun read for you Halloween week reading list check it out.

Wow! All I can say is dive into this action-packed FANGTASTIC new world of LD Wosar! This book is full of snark! Valainah is made into a new vampire when Kaysee is in ripper status, and Jarod Fox comes to her rescue! Her beauty is ethereal! Jarod is definitely one of my new favorite characters! He is a brass tactics character that endears himself to the reader through his movie quotes, his air of nonchalance, and how his unapologetic actions create pure chaos for those around him.
Rainer, a polished gentleman from an era of times past, is Jarod’s counterpart. Jarod has a new progeny without the council’s approval. Rainer is entranced by her and will protect her at all costs. Jarod is a proud papa! She will take the vampire world by storm and will make all in it bow down to her whims. She is a force no one ever saw coming…especially, Santana. Those of you familiar with Wosar’s vamp world, will LOVE this new character!
V (Valainah) will abide by her own rules. Everyone falls in love with her. She will make alliances with powerful counterparts that will have Santana fuming and foaming at the mouth. Especially, when the council offers V the one thing Santana truly covets…a crown! Santana will start a campaign that will destroy V and all those in it! The lengths she will go to will leave the reader cringing.
Powerful enemies will fall under either V or Santana’s side. It is a constant influx of battles of wit and brawn. Jarod will become someone the readers do not recognize when he sires V. The snark and antics of Jarod and V will have the reader LOL! Then, there is Thiago, Santana’s one and only true love. Is she losing him to V? Or does he have his own agenda?
Do yourself a favor…grab this first book in the series…the ones following it will definitely be filled with betrayals, secrets, and action that ups the ante at every turn. A story filled with plots, subplots, and many twists and turns will leave your head spinning and mouth flying open wide until the last page. You will not be able to walk away from the entrancing world that immerses you into the pages!

First of all sorry for taking my time reviewing this master piece.
This reminds me of a Brighton Vampires story if it was ever written.
And now it is and it has characters that makes you laugh and cuss and hate.
Just like real life you love some can stand some and hate some so its just like real life.
I just to had a love for Kaysee another one of this authors characters she is in this book as well
but know I got a new favorite vampire and her name is Baroness Valainah Uxue Arellano and I cant wait for what is next in this amazing story about my favorited characters from a author that is so amazing so if you want to be following the future give it a chance and come with me and reach the Skye and that is a little hint of what's in the future from one of the best authors right now.
The furfure will be more different from what I heard but that means so much more bright and so much more interesting and make sure you are one of the ones following and dont miss out of the most thrilling rides of your life

I love love love Vee. She is funny, sarcastic, and stubborn. There is a lot to love about this book including the world building and character development. However, towards the end of the book the storyline seems to jump between Vee knowing what is going on and not knowing what is going on. Almost like some things were copied and pasted not exactly in the correct place during an edit. There are also a couple of places where things jumped in the storyline almost like there was an edit but nothing was put in it's place so for example at one point Vee is in a hotel room and then all of a sudden she is talking to a car driver. It's a little jarring and confusing. Overall, I really enjoyed this book though and the I really liked the characters. I'm looking forward to book 2.

Her savior, Jarod, takes her back home to San Antonio to live with him and his partner, Rainer, at the Wulff-Fox estate. As her training for her new unlife begins, she catches the eye of General Dominic Belluomo. She not only excels at her military training, but apparently, she's the possible reincarnation of the lost vampire queen of the Glaciar Roja coven in Spain. Say what now?! And to top it off, a princess named Santana wants the crown and to 'off' her. Well, bring it on!!

This is an amazing story about Vee after Kaysee. Vee is being considered for the position of queen but she's still a young girl. Even by vampire standards. Her guardians, while supportive, are worried about her future. There's blood, gore, and a bad ass female in here. Loved this story and loved seeing Jarod and Rainer as parents to sweet Vee.

This is a book that you NEED to read!!! Laugh out loud funny, with such amazing characters and it will leave you wanting more!! Thank goodness book 2 is out!! Valainah is someone who you will fall in love with! This is a MUST READ!!!

This book surprised me. I was so ready to not like it, don't even know why, and I enjoyed it immensely!! Didn't expect a funny vampires book. Can't wait to read the whole series!!!
