Rate this book
When a woman running from the mob meets a ranger haunted by his past, the Grand Canyon's dangers might be the least of their troubles.

Tech-savvy hacker Nimue Hart has mastered the art of staying invisible, living off-grid in her Airstream and hiding from the Russian mob who want her silenced. But when a rescue mission forces her into the spotlight, her carefully constructed world begins to crumble.

Grand Canyon Backcountry Ranger Liam Kingsley buried his heart in the Swiss Alps a year ago after a tragic climbing accident. Now he keeps tourists safe and his emotions locked away—until a mysterious woman with secrets of her own makes him question everything he thought he knew about safety.

As their worlds collide, Nimue and Liam must navigate more than just the treacherous canyon trails. With mobsters closing in, a dangerous treasure unearthed, and lives hanging in the balance during a catastrophic flash flood, their growing trust in each other might be their only lifeline. But when Nimue's past catches up with them at the canyon's edge, Liam faces his worst nightmare all over again—this time with a woman he can't bear to lose.

Perfect for readers who love their romance with a shot of adrenaline, OVER THE EDGE delivers heart-pounding action, breathtaking rescues, and the sizzling chemistry between a protective ranger and a brilliant woman on the run.

I can't help be amazed at the gifts God has delighted me with - a wonderful husband, four amazing children, and the opportunity to write for Him.

I've been writing as long as I can remember - I won my first book writing contest in first grade! Over the years, writing has become, for me, a way to praise God and see Him at work in my life.

Although I have a degree in Mass Communications from the University of MN, my real writing experience started when I penned the The Warren Report - a bi-monthly newsletter that detailed our ministry highlights.

Living in Russia meant I never lacked for great material - and those experiences naturally spilled out first into devotionals and magazine articles and finally into my first published story, "Measure of a Man," in the Tyndale/HeartQuest, Chance Encounters of the Heart anthology.

Susan and husbandI grew up in Wayzata, a suburb of Minneapolis, and became an avid camper from an early age. My favorite fir-lined spot is the north shore of Minnesota - it's where I met my husband, honeymooned and dreamed of living. The north woods easily became the foundation for my first series, The Deep Haven series.based on a little tourist town along the shores of Lake Superior. I have to admit - I'm terribly jealous of Mona, the heroine of my first full-length book, Happily Ever After, a Christy Award Finalist published in 2004 with Tyndale/Heartquest.

Our family moved home from the mission field in June 2004 -- and now we live in the beautiful town I'd always dreamed of! God has amazed me anew with His provision, and blessings -- and allowed me a season when I can write full time for Him.

I 'm delighted you've stopped in to visit. My hope is that you'll be blessed and encouraged by soul-stirring stories of regular people interacting with a God who loves them.

I'd love to hear from you! I love getting mail, especially from readers and I welcome your questions and comments. Write to me at susan@susanmaywarren.com. If you’re in the mood for a fast-paced, edge-of-your-seat read, Over the Edge definitely delivers. Set against the rugged beauty of the Grand Canyon, this book dropped me straight into danger as Liam, a park ranger, finds himself protecting Nimue, a young woman on the run from the Russian mob. From there, it’s a nonstop race to survive, filled with running, hiding and high-stakes tension.

I loved the unique setting, because it's not one I've read before and I thought it added a fun layer to the suspense. The chemistry between Liam and Nimue kept things engaging and their backstories added depth to the choices they made along the way.

There was plenty of action, daring moments and twists and turns that kept me turning the pages, plus a few teasers that made me curious for what’s coming next (Noah and Meg’s story). The only thing that didn’t fully land for me was the ending because one key moment I expected to see play out happened off page, which didn't feel on par with the tension building up to it. Even so, I enjoyed the resolution and felt the ending was satisfying overall.

With strong pacing, solid characters and Susie May Warren's signature, adventurous feel, this is a fun, suspenseful read I recommend if you’re looking for something exciting and easy to devour!

Romantic suspense set in a National Park...yes, please!

Backcountry Ranger Liam Kingsley is trying to run away from guilt. Guilt in his fabricated part of a friend's death.

Nimue Hart is hiding out at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. She's tech savvy, but so is the Russian Mob trying to find her.

Neither Liam nor Nimue are looking for romance, but they can't deny the attraction between them.

Lots of action in the pages and I can't wait for Noah and Meg's story in book two.

My gratitude to publisher Sunrise for a complimentary copy of the novel. I was not required to post a review and all opinions expressed are my own.

Wow! Susan May Warren and Tari Faris really know how to write a book. The first book in the new A Summer Rangers series starts with explosive and powerful with beauty and danger. Suspense and calm. Liam, Luke and Logan’s brother from another series. Liam and Logan are twins. Liam is a Grand Canyon Backcountry Ranger. Tech-savvy hacker Nimue (pronounced Nim-Way) Hart is on the run from the Bratva, Russian mob who has been hunting her for two years. They want to silence her. She stumbles a mission rescue that has forced out of her hiding and now has only highlighted her location to the enemy. As their worlds collide, Nimue and Liam must navigate more than just the treacherous canyon trails, and their growing trust in each other might be their only lifeline. Liam is forced to now face the past. He doesn’t want to lose another woman he could possibly love. These two become connected quickly as danger keeps them in its crosshairs. Loved all these new characters that will be explored within the series. Another 5 plus stars for me.

Have you read The Minnesota Kingston’s series? If so, you’ll remember Nimue, Emberly’s sister. As she is hiding out in the Arizona desert from the Russian Syndicate, she meets Liam, who you might remember from Under the Mistletoe - the MC Logan’s twin brother. He is currently working as a backcountry ranger and is hiding from the pain in his past of losing a friend.

Whew. This no spice Christian Romantic Suspense started out cozy but then kept upping the stakes. I enjoyed watching Liam and Nim grow closer together, learn to open up and trust, and seeing the other rangers he works with. It was, of course, great to have connections to Warren’s other series as well.

When the suspense and danger from having the Bratva after her hit, we were caught up in a whirlwind that didn’t let up. Twist after turn spun us around and left us breathless. This is an invigorating start to a new series and
I cannot wait for the next book. Noah and Meg are calling for me! The romance is just kisses, intimacy level 2.

Hooked

This no-spice Christian romantic suspense had me hooked from the start. It began cozy but kept raising the stakes with twist after twist. The suspense kept me turning pages, and I loved the romance woven throughout the story. The strong sense of community, adventure, secrets, forgiveness, and reminders to trust God made this such an engaging read.

Fantastic start to a new series. Liam, a ranger, is haunted by ghosts from his past. Nimue, a hacker, has been hiding but soon danger finds her, and she and Liam have to escape. I enjoyed seeing familiar faces from previous series. Over the Edge is a fast-paced read with a perfect blend of romance, suspense, danger, close calls, and heart-pounding adventure in the Grand Canyon.

“The true abundant living is that the God of the universe has given us access to Himself. His presence.”

Tari Faris and Susan May Warren. What a fabulous duo. I loved how Tari Faris' characters from Home to Heritage series and Susan May Warren's characters from Minnesota Kingston series fit perfectly together while finding love and acceptance, embracing grace and forgiveness, dodging bad guys, and generally showing the readers a great time in the Grand Canyon of Arizona. I loved Liam - the grown up, wounded Liam seeking purpose in his naturally protective and loyal state. The glimpses of Liam we saw in Logan’s story did not do him justice. And Nimue. We’ve waited a bit for her story and it does not disappoint. Her fierce independence, tender heart under a tough exterior, and longing for a real home made Nimue a memorable heroine. I've adventured through Alaksa, Montana, Minnesota, and Russia with Susan May Warren but this is my first time in Arizona. I've never visited the Grand Canyon and now I absolutely must. I loved catching up with Emberly and Stein as well as the entire Kingsley clan from Heritage, MI. I'm looking forward to the next story about Noah and Meg. The hunt for Alan Martin is still on; what stunt will he pull off next to evade capture?

Words .... Action .... Suspense .... Love. Susan May Warren co-wrote Over the Edge with Tari Faris and had me gripping the pages from the very first chapter. Liam Kingsley and Nimue Hart each had "ghosts" from their pasts that haunted them and trauma held on like the darkness of Count Dracula's cape. However, throughout the days and weeks that they held onto the chance to know each other, fear held a tightly woven band around their hearts. There were different issues at play, however, traumatic experiences reacted the same. This story held me captive as I realized that all that could realign their hearts was God's blessings and love. Through each incident, they chose to open their hearts and minds to the open invitation God shared with them. I loved this story as it travelled a familiar path of loss towards one of joy and hope. As Liam and Nimue reached a closer point towards each other, God seemed to "open the eyes of their heart". I give this book 5 out of 5 stars and truth set me free as I read about forgiveness and forever within these pages!

Some characters showing up from Susie's books spill over with this series.
Summer Rangers: Noah, Teague and Liam (his story with Nimue)
Grand Canyon the setting. (I've never been to the national park)
Tourists: love hate relationship wherever you live, holidays and money is what communities hope to draw the tourist dollar. (fuel crisis not helping).
Gold, leavers, Russian mob, technology all make up the ingredients to this story with romance. Running one of the ways to cope with stuff, but you can't outrun God. He will find you because he hasn't left or forsaken you.
Noah and Meg story next without the Russian mob??

It’s settled.

Broken people make the best characters. Faris and Warren just proved it again.

However—do they HAVE to put them through so much every time???

Nimue is on the run, hiding from real danger in her refurbished bus, loaded with security systems and technology.

When she spies Ranger Liam Kingsley rescuing a little girl who’d fallen off the edge of the rim of the Grand Canyon, everything changes.

He invades her cocoon of isolation and, in turn, she offers him an opportunity to protect someone—her—and maybe heal the brokenness that lives inside of him.

This story is one huge adrenaline dump! Right when I thought it was safe to catch my breath, I’d turn the page and feel the urgency of the action. I loved every word!

I’ve been looking forward to this series with so much anticipation, and I must say, I really enjoyed this adventure at the Grand Canyon! I was so invested in Nimue and Liam’s sweet getting-to-know-you relationship fraught with secrets and danger. When Liam starts to fall for the mysterious Nimue, he never could have imagined she’s a white hat hacker hiding from the Russian mob. And Nimue knows how dangerous opening up to the handsome park ranger is… but can’t seem to help herself. Once the action starts, you’re not going to be able to stop reading until you come out the other side!

I loved how Liam and Nimue were able to speak truth to one another. Both of them Christians feeling distance from their faith due to wounds they carry. Liam haunted by an accident, Nimue longing for family she’s never had and terrified from being on the run. There’s some great truth amidst the romance and the action.

There was a bit more of the Susan May Warren story lore in this book than I anticipated. I’m a couple series behind, so there were some events referenced in this story that are a part of that. However, I was so impressed that I didn’t feel lost. If I didn’t know better, except in a few instances, it read just like mysterious character backstory slowly being revealed like any other stand-alone. If you are someone who really wants to read all of Warren’s books in order, this one takes place after Steinbeck. However, you’d be ok going ahead reading this series if that doesn’t bother you, as I’m proof. Liam is also the twin brother in a family from Tari Faris’ books, which I also haven’t read. Again, I’m happy to report that I was not lost, and this book explained what I needed to know. One last mention, it seems like all the tie-ins to these other series only impacts this first book. It does not seem like the next two will have any mention of them at all, because those threads are neatly tied up. However something new is introduced in this one that will be a big part of the others. I can’t wait to keep going to find out how the rangers are going to deal with all the chaos!!

Content- Kisses only, some peril.

Thank you to Revell for the finished copy of Over the Edge by Susan May Warren and Tari Faris. All opinions are my own.

Over the Edge was so good! I loved the characters, the found family aspect, the romance, and the dangerous circumstances. It had an exciting and beautiful setting, and I even learned a few new things. It also had beautiful threads of faith woven throughout that felt natural.

This book mainly follows Nimue and Liam, who unexpectedly meet when they need each other the most. Both have trauma that they’ve endured, and Nimue is in an especially dangerous situation unbeknownst to Liam. I liked that they had each other to lean on because they both needed someone who understood them.

Besides Nimue and Liam, this book also has the beginnings of Meg and Noah’s love story. They’re two people who work together at the Grand Canyon but have a confusing relationship due to past traumas. I liked getting the start of their love story, and I am excited to read more about them in book two.

I loved the romances in this story because they were very raw and emotional. Nimue and Liam had to literally trust each other for survival against nature and the people after Nimue. Because of the intense situations they found themselves in, I understood how they could come to quickly fall in love. It was sweet to see these characters find joy and comfort despite their circumstances.

The Grand Canyon setting was really beautiful. The authors did a great job painting a picture of the setting in a way that I could imagine despite never having visited The Grand Canyon myself.

I also enjoyed how the danger kept me completely invested into the plot. I didn’t know if everyone would survive and what obstacles they would face because so many unexpected things happened.

The faith content was also a bonus to me. I loved how the characters had to rely on God despite their struggles to trust Him. I loved seeing how the characters encouraged each other to not give up, and it was beautiful to see how each person grew in their faith.

Overall, I would recommend this book! It was a beautiful and exciting story. I can’t wait to read book two!

When Ranger Liam Kingsley makes a daring rescue of a young girl, he is hailed as a hero on social media. Liam feels nothing like a hero. As a matter of fact, he is fighting an inner battle with himself that has stalled his life and ability to move forward.

Nimue Hart is a tech savvy beast. She is hiding from the Russian mob and prefers to blend into the background. This is why she is at the Grand Canyon in her friendly looking RV, which is a high tech wonder world hideout on the inside.

Liam and Nimue are brought together by accident, but now they are on the run for their lives. Liam knows that Nimue is holding back, but he continues to trust that she needs him and he protects her without question. This said something about his character. He had no problem protecting someone who needed it without knowing everything because this is just who he was.

This book started out tame, with the exception of the daring rescue. But once the action started up, it was hair raising and, at times, quite frightening. The beauty of the Grand Canyon is magnificent, but hanging out in this terrain in not for the weak-hearted or amateurs.

Both Liam and Nimue have had their faith tested. Liam is questioning everything about God. One particular scene stuck out to me when Luke and Logan are trying to reason with Liam and make him understand that some things are out of our control. My favorite quote - "No one is guaranteed an easy road. In fact, it's pretty clear that life isn't easy. But God... see that's the big qualifier, the great equalizer, the victory. He is our guarantee of an abundant life." This was such a bold and true statement in just a few words, and one to take to heart.

This is book 1 in the Summer Rangers series. After reading this one, I am excited for the other books in this series.

Thank you to Sunrise Publishing for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Intense, action-packed, and just wow. Definitely a 5-star read.

It’s been a while since I’ve read anything by Susan May Warren, and this might be my first from Tari Faris, although she’s been on my radar for a while. What a book to start with.

Over the Edge is a brilliantly written story that grips you from the very beginning and doesn’t let go. I genuinely didn’t want to put it down. The characters are engaging, the imagery is breathtaking, and more than once, I felt like I was standing on the edge right alongside them.

The premise alone pulls you in: when a woman running from the mob meets a ranger haunted by his past, the Grand Canyon’s dangers might be the least of their troubles. Nimue Hart, a tech-savvy hacker living off-grid and hiding from the Russian mob, is forced into the spotlight during a rescue mission, threatening everything she’s built to stay invisible. Meanwhile, Grand Canyon backcountry ranger Liam Kingsley carries the weight of a tragic past, keeping both tourists and his own emotions carefully guarded until Nimue enters his world.

As their paths collide, the stakes rise fast. Between mobsters closing in, a dangerous discovery, and a catastrophic flash flood, the tension never lets up. The growing trust and undeniable chemistry between Nimue and Liam become their only lifeline, making every moment feel urgent and real.

I now want to go back and read the books I can sense were referenced, and I’ll definitely be adding more from both authors to my TBR. I’m also eagerly anticipating book two in the Summer Rangers series.

Highly recommend, especially if you love romance with a serious shot of adrenaline.

I absolutely loved the armchair travel to the Grand Canyon with Ranger Liam Kingsley!

I needed to hear messages about abundant living, carrying baggage that isn’t mine, and about the place I call home.

Nimue (Nim-way) Hart, Noah Wild and Liam Kinglsey are all broken souls who struggle with attachment - just as dangerous a territory for them as the canyon itself. Authors Susan May Warren and Tari Faris bring them all to the place where they realized that they are loved IN the darkness, that they are human, not superheroes, and that grace is supplied during the pain. I loved the journey to find out where ‘home’ is for each of them and see the growth that resulted from struggle.

I’ll remember this book for the spotlight on grace. Nimue certainly least deserved it, but Liam kept extending it. She kept withholding and he kept showering her with grace. He chose to forgive her and wait for her feelings for him to grow enough to want to share rather than withhold. I loved how Warren and Faris presented the tension and emotion that forgiveness and grace brought to her characters. What a wonderful place to showcase faith … in the glory of the Grand Canyon!

Be prepared for a risky adventure, lots of rescues, the love of family and the start of some sweet romances.

This new series is one I can’t wait to continue.

"Whether you trust me or not -I'm here." The words scraped his throat raw. "You can count on me."

Over the Edge is the brand new series Summer Rangers. It’s a great start to a summer series. Written by Susan May Warren and Tari Faris, their writing was flawless. Their writing styles worked very well together and I’m excited to see what they do with the rest of the series.

You got Nimue Hart who is a tracker on the run. She’s living off the grid while trying to figure out how to get the Russian’s off her back. Enter Grand Canyon Backcountry Ranger, Liam Kingsley. Liam is running from his past and just like Nimue, hiding in the Grand Canyon is perfect until it isn’t. The more they get to know each other, the more Liam and Nimue are wanting to share their secrets. But when the Russian catch up to Nimue, she has to put her trust in Liam as they make a run for it.

I’d love all the suspense in this book. There are a few twist a turns that you might not see coming as Nimue and Liam work together. We go a new cast of characters that we are meeting for the first time. But also a few old characters that we have met in two other series. This was a book that I couldn’t put down, I had to know how it all ends. I did enjoy that it was about a National Park Ranger and a Hacker. I haven’t read a lot of books with those careers in it. So it was a little different read for me.

These thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you Sunrise publishing for the ARC.

Only one group would care about her digital lifeline. Maybe it was time to go on the hunt!

I loved all the details about the Grand Canyon, a place I have yet to visit. Liam is a Backcountry ranger, someone who is familiar with climbing, rappelling and survival all of which he is ready to use when someone finds themselves in danger. Unfortunately, these abilities did not help him in the death of a friend in the Swiss Alps. Blaming himself, this affects every rescue he makes. Will he ever learn to leave everything with the Lord, trusting that He has the master plan?

Nimue is a white hat hacker who unfortunately uncovered something that has put her in the crosshairs of the Russian mob, Bratva. Living in a small bus, with all the technology she needs, she found what she thinks is a safe spot on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Fearing that she has been found when her bus is vandalized, she and Liam go over the edge, hoping to find safety. The adventure is only beginning. Is she prepared to trust that the Lord is going before them?

This incredible story with plenty of danger, suspense and more has me anxiously waiting for the next installment in the Summer Rangers series. Received through Sunrise Publishing and BookFunnel, these thoughts are my own and were in no way solicited.

She’s running from the mob.
He’s running from his past.
And the canyon isn’t the most dangerous thing out there…

Over the Edge by Susan May Warren (with Tari Faris) drops you straight into a high-stakes adventure set in the breathtaking—and brutal—Grand Canyon.

Nimue Hart has spent years staying invisible, hiding from the Russian mob who want her silenced. But when a rescue mission exposes her, she’s suddenly on the run again… and straight into the path of backcountry ranger Liam Kingsley.

Liam is already carrying the weight of a past he can’t escape—and protecting Nimue might just force him to face it.

What unfolds is a fast-paced, edge-of-your-seat story filled with:
🏜️ rugged wilderness + unique national park setting
💻 a tech-savvy heroine on the run
🚨 nonstop danger, rescues, and survival moments
❤️ slow-building trust wrapped in tension and chemistry

I loved how immersive the setting felt—it honestly felt like armchair travel into the Grand Canyon. The action keeps things moving, but what really stood out was the emotional layer: both Liam and Nimue are carrying baggage they don’t know how to put down.

And the faith thread? So beautifully woven in. Themes of grace, forgiveness, and learning you don’t have to carry everything alone really grounded the story.

If you love romantic suspense with adventure, danger, and just enough heart to balance it all—this one’s for you.

Over the Edge by Susan May Warren and Tari Faris hikes up the tension, romance, and the characters with moments of clarity and danger. The heroine, Nimue, is a sister of another character from another series that readers who are familiar with Warren’s world know of. Also, Liam, the hero, is also related to another family that readers will know. It was nice to see the supporting characters from previous stories come back; Warren updates us on their current happenings. Nimue and Liam are both battered and bruised from their past and just want to move on. However, in typical Warren’s adventures fashion, she puts her characters through so much trouble that readers will have a hard time putting the novel down. On the other hand, the unpredictability of the canyon rim makes a wonderful setting for all the action to develop. The uncertainty of the weather and topical landscape matches the uncertainty of the character’s paths. Overall, Over the Edge by Susan May Warren and Tari Faris will delight readers who enjoy plenty of action with a hint of romance thrown in to send sparks flying. I am glad that I have pre-ordered a paper copy of this story already.

Totally a 5 star read. I would give it more if I could! From the moment I started, I knew I’d have to see this series through because I’m completely invested!

Nimue is hiding. The Russian mob is after her, and the canyon, along with her surveillance and hacking skills, is all she has to stay safe. But when she crosses paths with ranger Liam, she unintentionally puts him at risk. Not only that, she begins to fall for him. It’s dangerous and complicated, and she doesn’t want him hurt because of her past. But Liam isn’t going anywhere. They may have just met, but he’s determined to protect her.

As the danger closes in, Liam and Nimue must work through their pasts, her secrets, and his heartache if they want to learn to trust each other and God and make it out alive with a chance at a future together.

This was such an amazing read. The suspense kept me turning pages, the romance was woven in beautifully, and even the secondary romance was just as engaging. I loved the strong sense of community among the characters. I am so ready for Noah and Meg’s story next, and even Teague’s after that.

I received a complimentary copy. This review reflects my honest opinion.

Susan May Warren's latest novel Over the Edge is the best survival story I've read in a long time! The Grand Canyon plays its role as villain only too well, keeping the romantic tension and murderous mob moments at the forefront of the plot.

Which is fantastic, because Liam is the best kind of hero! He's kind and courageous, obviously, but he's also hurting and trying to stare down the pain in his past - or maybe avoid it - which makes the way he repeatedly saves people's lives even better.

Nimue has never had the stability she desires, but she's firmly on the side of law, order, and right, anyway, which makes her pretty amazing. Her ties to other characters in the Susan May Warren-iverse make this even more exciting.

The twists and turns were both fun and unexpected, and in typical Warren fashion, are going to bleed out into the rest of the series, I suspect, so be ready for a cliffhanger - and a few more amazing stories.

So if you're a fan of quoteable wisdom, sizzling romantic tension, and amazing scenery, Over the Edge should be your next read.

This is the first book in the Summer Rangers series by Warren and Faris. If you want back story on the main male character, Liam, you’ll want to read Tari Faris’ You Belong With Me and also, Under the Mistletoe. And for the main female character Nimuei, you’ll want to read Susan May Warren’s Steinbeck. If you don’t want to spend that much time with extra reading, don’t worry - there’s enough in this book to keep up the suspense.

The characters who are the good guys are great. I don’t really go that much for heart-stopping suspense with the bad guys, but finding out how the good characters survive is worth it.

I also enjoyed the location. I’ve never gotten to go to the north rim of the Grand Canyon, but have been to the south rim enough times to appreciate the basics of this awesome part of God’s world.

One word of caution- there are parts of this book you don’t want to read just before you go to bed, or you’ll be having nightmares about falling off ledges, flash floods, and the like.

I enjoyed reading every page of this thrilling suspense that was set in the Grand Canyon National Park. The non-stop action and looming threats matched well with the adventurous setting and the main characters’ talents. It was easy for me to sympathize with Nimue and Liam because they went through so many difficult and dangerous situations. The supporting characters were so helpful, and the main villain was surprising. I was a bit frustrated with Liam and Nimue’s lack of trust in each other at certain times in the book, but I felt like their relationship was also realistic. The hidden treasure in the canyon added another layer of tension and interest to the story.
Now I have to go back and read Emberly and Steinbeck’s story that took place in a previous series. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series!

Over the Edge will grab readers from the first edgy scene till the very last word.

Nimue was in the background in a previous series, but now her vulnerability, fear and worries were front and center. Liam is also a well loved secondary character from a previous series which had his time to shine.

This story included adventure, danger, life threatening situations, connections between characters which jumps from the page and some raw internal faith struggles.

The scene between Liam and his brothers at the airport was one of my favourites and dripped with emotions and rawness.

This was a promising start to a new series fans of Susan May Warren and Tari Faris will love.

Over the Edge is a page-turning romantic suspense adventure that grabbed me instantly and kept me engaged for the entirety of the story. It features Nimue, a skilled hacker on the run from the Russian mob, and Liam, a backcountry ranger determined to protect her. I loved these characters for both their strength and vulnerability. I enjoyed how their tender romantic relationship unfolds complicated by secrets, past scars, and the constant threat of danger. The vividly sketched Grand Canyon setting amps up the danger and suspense. I appreciate the gentle faith thread affirming God's constant presence and care despite the circumstances. I totally enjoyed this story and recommend it as a solid pick for romantic suspense fans.

I love this new series!

I was so excited when I saw that Susan and Tari were setting this new series at the Grand Canyon. Being in my home state for this book was really special and I couldn't wait to meet Liam and Nimue.

I've known Nimue since the Minnesota Kingston series and I was so excited for her to get her own book! I haven't read all of Tari's Heritage books but now I really want to read the rest of Liam's family's books too!

I really like Liam and Nimue's relationship. Even though they were quick to fall in love with each other, it felt gradual and safe at the same time. I love how they both were able to overcome past grief and hurt for the chance of loving each other.

I also really enjoyed Meg and Noah! I cannot wait to see what Tari and Susan have in store for them next!

Susan May Warren and Tari Faris have knocked it out of the canyon with Over the Edge. I love starting a new series and this story has me pining for the next book(s).
Nimue is on the run. Liam is haunted by his past. Now they need to protect each other and face down dangers both human and natural. You'll be flipping pages as fast as you can, eager to soak up each word. This is a fast paced, action packed story. It has it all...suspense, romance, danger, overcoming fear and guilt, and more. Plus it has my favorite, an epilogue! Seriously, I love epilogues so much, and this one is a winner.
My thanks for the complimentary copy of this book. My opinion is entirely my own.

Tari Faris and Susan May Warren have been long-time favorites of mine. In this spin-off series from Faris's Heritage series, we continue with both the Kingsley family and Nimue from Warren's Minnesota Kingston's series. With suspense, romance, wonderful characters, a fantastic setting, and a discovered treasure, this story ensured my complete attention. And while I enjoyed the book's adventure, I also appreciated the message of healing. These characters resonated, and I am greatly anticipating the next installment.

I absolutely loved this book! You won't want to miss it!

"But God was there, and the rivers didn't consume her." There is always a spiritual truth in this author's books that speaks to me. I think that's the best part of them; there is always action, adventure, romance, suspense but the spiritual nuggets are the best. Liam and Nimue both have trust issues and some of them center around their faith in God. They have to learn to work together and trust that God will bring them through "the rivers." Liam is running from his past and Nimue is running from the Russian mob but together with God they can get through it, they just need to trust Him.

This book is set in a very picturesque place - one that I’d like to visit in person - the Grand Canyon. However, I am quite content to leave the adrenaline pumping action and heart pounding suspense to the characters in the book. It is thrilling enough for me to experience all that vicariously as a reader of the exciting tale. The character Nimue intrigued me from the first time I read about her in another series by Susan May Warren. I had hoped to discover her story some day and this book more than met my expectations.
