About the author

Eric Stender began writing as a way of escape from his everyday life the summer after his Freshmen year. He put his thoughts and feelings into a tired and tattered green notebook to express his ideas toward love and misery, many times in the same sentence. Through short stories, songs, and random thoughts he fought against and prevailed over his own inner demons.

In 2005 Eric became a Sunday School teacher. The experience changed his life. Through teaching, he learned the art of story by becoming various biblical characters in his class and by telling the story from the character's viewpoint.

Now a Father, Children's Pastor, and author living in Indiana, writing has become a part of his everyday life.

Truth’s Echo pulled me in faster than I expected. The idea of a future where books are forbidden and history is rewritten is unsettling on its own, but what really made this story work was how personal it felt. Shawn Seeker isn’t some perfect hero he’s a young man grieving his grandfather and slowly realizing that everything he believed about his world is built on lies.
The mystery surrounding the box and letter at the funeral immediately hooked me, and the tension kept building from there. I liked how the truth is revealed little by little, making each discovery feel dangerous and meaningful. The Christian themes are handled with care and depth, showing faith as something costly rather than easy.
This book is fast paced, emotional, and thoughtful without being preachy. If you enjoy clean dystopian thrillers with suspense, faith-based themes, and a strong sense of legacy and truth, Truth’s Echo by Eric Stender is well worth the read.

Seek ye First

A great beginning to a good story, but there's more to be told. If this tale is to stand alone, it seems too short, but if it is the first of a series can't wait for the next book. Great premise for a tale, with believable and enduring characters. Give us more!
