This book is designed to guide people towards improving their happiness. It is important to remember that one's happiness is not guaranteed and that nobody should be happy all of the time. Bad things happen. When bad things happen to us negative emotions are a result. The secret to being happier is to be able to recover from those negative experiences as quickly as possible so that we can get back to our level of happiness. This book is a compilation of lessons learned from teaching a Happiness class to university students for over 15 years. The book is easy to read with each chapter containing approximately 10 pages of content, quotations on the topic, three short stories with follow-up questions, and typically three activities one can do to improve that area of their happiness. There are many links in the chapters to videos and other websites. The experts estimate 50% of our happiness is genetics, 40% is in our control (intentional activity), and the remaining 10% is due to our circumstances (Sheldon & Lyubomirsky, 2019). Take control of that 40% and use it to your benefit and not your detriment. This book can help you improve relationships, deal with stress, and maximize your happiness potential. Do the work and see the results.
