Logan Richards, rock star and tabloid disaster, needs a much better publicist. Unfortunately, he has me. Before both our reputations are trashed forever, we need to get serious about cleaning up his image, starting with a sophisticated new girlfriend for him. A fake one. I find him the perfect Hollywood starlet, and get to work turning him into boyfriend material. Instead of trashing hotel rooms, he’s writing lyrics that sound suspiciously like love letters. I should be over-the-moon happy, but instead I've turned into a pining mess. How could I fall for my total opposite? My headache in the making? Rule #1: never fall for a client. Rule #2: definitely don’t fall for a client who plays the guitar for you. Rule #3: don't dangle the perfect woman in front of him if you want him for yourself. It's a good thing Logan doesn't feel the same way about me. Or does he? Looking for a clean rock-star romance with a smart, sassy heroine? Scandalously Yours is for you.
Katie Talbot writes sweet, witty romantic comedies featuring smart, sassy heroines and the larger-than-life men who fall for them. Her debut five-book series, Celebrity Love in New Orleans, is set in the quirky, romantic city she now calls home.
Her books are sweet and clean, never spicy, because New Orleans is hot enough.
Originally from the Midwest, Katie fell in love with the Big Easy’s music, food, and charm. She lives there with her husband and their three children, where she balances family life with dreaming up banter-filled love stories.
I loved this book! I really enjoyed both main characters and their stories. The setting in New Orleans was so fun and I loved all the detail that made me feel like I could really picture where they were. I am really looking forward to reading more from Katie Talbot!
This was such a well written book and perfectly encapsulated the feeling of New Orleans, although I haven’t been there since I was a baby. I read it in a day and loved the banter between the characters. I can’t wait for more to come from Katie Talbot!
This novel announced as a Sweet Rockstar Romance Novel is according to my feeling not really sweet but a nice read with the addition of a few funny sprinkles, but also entertaining, even if there is nothing really new about the plot. Elisabeth, the FMC has to work extra hard on a new project because of a rather small mistake she made before, which led to an uproar in certain circles of public society. Now she has to prove, that she is still able to do a good and infinite better job than her last. And if not, her future career in PR will turn into nothing.
Her last chance to do better is to improve the bad image of famous rock musician Logan. But said musician still can’t accept, that his bad image is a big obstacle for his own professional future. During their first meeting things turn out difficult rather fast. Logan is not cooperative, but Elisabeth will not give up and is more than determined to find a way to improve his image. The solution Mick, the musician’s manager, and Elisabeth both agree upon is that the best in this situation and therefore the only solution for Logan would be a fake relationship with a wholesome and nice girl. He is not amused about that proposal but finally gives his consent. Soon a nice and suitable candidate is found and Elisabeth starts her campaign well organized and structured. At first everything seems to go on very well. The fake relationship does work out nicely for both participants. But then suddenly (but not really unexpectedly) the public’s gaze is directed onto something that shouldn’t have come to light. So Elisabeth has to up her game: the fake relationship must develop into something more. How that works out is something that the reader will have to find out on their own while reading the whole romance novel.
One of the the main messages of the novel as I came to understood is that PR appears to be a miserable place to be stuck and work in. I received a free ARC of „Scandalously Yours“ and am leaving my honest review here. A lot of well known and rather predictable patterns can be found in this book. PR indeed seems to be a very dark horse, especially when the idea of a fake marriage is included. After all a lot of romance novels contain tropes like fake relationships, how realistic or unrealistic those might be. The fairytale aspect is also an important part of the plot, a trope that is also often used in many romance novels. Therefore I never would criticize the use of that, but sometimes it’s simply too unrealistic for my personal taste. In my opinion „Scandalously Yours“ has earned a solid 4 star rating and guarantees a few hours of nice, but not too meaningful entertainment.
A rebel rock star meets an uptight control freak PR agent. Katie’s writing is really enjoyable and easy to read. Her writing sucked me in and I got lost in this world.
Elizabeth is a PR expert whose career needs saving from a big mistake she made. She is now in charge of Logan Richard’s a self destructive rock star whose career also needs saving. Together they have to save each other’s career, but sparks start flying instead.
The plan is for Logan to fake date America’s sweetheart to build his image and start over. Except Logan doesn’t like playing by the rules. He likes pushing back and challenging everything. Elizabeth likes control and being in charge. They have met each other’s match.
There is banter, enemies, mishaps, swoony songs, and a sweet love story. I loved Jake and his character. It added so much depth to the story. I only wish he would have appeared more in the story.
I received a complimentary arc. All opinions expressed are my own. Thank you Katie for the honor of reading your debut novel and being on your arc team!
“Elizabeth is like a New Orleans summer—warm when she wants to be, but don’t expect a break from the heat.”
“That wasn’t part of the plan.” I stepped closer, holding her gaze. “Neither are you.”
“It’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard, and I’ve heard a lot of dumb things.”
“I’ve written love songs for a living. I’ve made a career out of pretending I knew what it felt like. But you…” I turned my head slightly, just enough to catch the blur of her in my peripheral vision. “I mean, I’ve written love songs my whole life. But you’re the one who made them true.”
It was about showing up. It was about choosing someone, every single day, even when things got messy.
Thank you, Katie Talbot and Booksprout, for providing this ARC of Scandalously Yours in exchange for an honest review.
Summary: When sparks fly between Elizabeth, a PR professional with everything to prove, and Logan, the last man she wants to work with, things quickly spiral into witty banter, scandalous schemes, and more than a little romantic tension. What begins as enemies on the page soon teeters into something warmer, wrapped up in a cosy rom-com vibe.
Review: This was such a sweet rom-com vibe, and anyone who loves enemies-to-lovers with a side of cosy chaos is going to enjoy this one (and hopefully the series when more books come along). I devoured it in almost one sitting because, honestly, I just didn’t want to put it down.
The PR strategy meetings, staged dates, and glitzy events gave me the kind of fun chaos I always want in a romance book. I also really appreciated the solid communication between Logan and Elizabeth... no tedious miscommunication tropes here, just two people actually talking through things like grown adults (even with heavy doses of sarcasm involved). And then that twist with Sophie… absolute chef’s kiss, the icing on the cake.
Although it’s a closed-door romance, the chemistry between them never dimmed. The relationship felt both sweet and swoony, and the balance between rom-com humour and heartfelt connection worked beautifully. All in all, Scandalously Yours is a charming read and a strong start. I’ll definitely be picking up more from Katie Talbot in future.
Elizabeth was beautiful, controlling, and very smart—but her career in PR was hanging by a thread. After a major mistake on a press release, she was given one last chance to redeem herself. Easy, she thought…until she saw who her next client was: Logan, the rockstar. Logan wasn’t just any rockstar. Gorgeous, talented, rich, and completely self-destructive, he seemed determined to ruin not only his career but also his life. His label was ready to cut ties, and even his loyal manager—his closest friend—was at his wit’s end. Still, Logan agreed to meet Elizabeth. From the moment they cross paths, sparks fly. Their chemistry and sexual tension are undeniable, even as they constantly push each other’s buttons. Slowly, Logan chips away at Elizabeth’s walls just as she begins to unravel the anger and pain driving his reckless choices. But just as they start to truly connect, everything falls apart, and Elizabeth must decide if she can stay—or if walking away is the only way to save herself. This story is a slow burn and surprisingly clean for the rockstar romance genre. Sweet, heartfelt, and romantic, it delivers an ending that left me smiling. I’m a sucker for a good happy-ever-after, and this one didn’t disappoint. I’m giving it four stars and recommend it.
Living in the spotlight isn’t always as glamorous as it seems — one mistake can cost you everything, even your career. Scandalously Yours captures this truth beautifully, blending fame, vulnerability, and unexpected love.
At first, I wasn’t completely captivated, but the witty banter between the main characters was charming and fun to read. As the story unfolded, I found myself drawn deeper and deeper into their world, unable to put the book down. The author does a wonderful job of showing real emotional growth — he transforms from a bad boy with a tough exterior into a genuine sweetheart, while she, the perfectionist, slowly lets her guard down as he breaks through her barriers.
It’s a heartfelt, romantic read that reminds us that behind every public image, there’s a person longing to be truly seen and loved.

Closed Door but with Banter and Chemistry, Heartfelt, Well Written, Rom-Com Set in New Orleans
This was a fun, well written, fast paced story and I almost loved it except I had difficulty actually liking both of the main characters. I understood where both Elizabeth and Logan were coming from based on their family histories and pasts, and loved that they could be open and read each other but when things didn't go perfectly they didn't realize their own bad behaviors and get out of their own way - and that almost made me stop reading. Fortunately I stuck with it, and they did have friends and family talk some sense into them. The book was well written, all of the characters were well developed (despite my not liking them) and I will definitely read the next book by this author - Enjoy!

Logan Richards is a rock star but his PR image needs an overhaul! Elizabeth Bailey is a publicist trying to fix his reputation before he totally destroys his career! She decides the best approach is to show him how to behave by using a fake relationship to make him appear to be "the perfect boyfriend". Elizabeth will instruct starlet Sophie Hartwell on how to behave as his fake girlfriend. But unfortunately, or at least unexpectedly, she ends up falling for Logan herself! Grab your copy of the book and head for New Orleans to enjoy the result of her attempt to make Logan the perfect boyfriend. Has he fallen for her as well? Will she be able to give him up once she gets him "perfected"? Or do they have a good chance of making this something real?
I read a lot, but believe it or not, this was actually the first romantic comedy I’ve picked up, and it won’t be my last. This is the first book in a new series by Katie Talbot, and I was immediately drawn to it because it’s set in New Orleans. The setting adds so much charm and personality to the story.
The female lead was especially relatable, particularly her desire to stay in control. The storyline felt believable, and I enjoyed getting to know both main characters through the way they expressed their thoughts and emotions.
If you enjoy lighthearted romantic comedies with charming, likable characters and a fun New Orleans backdrop, Scandalously Yours is definitely worth a read. I’m looking forward to seeing where the rest of the series goes next.
Where do I start. This is the first time I have read this author and I am very impressed.
I love the story, the characters, the overall flow and enjoyed reading this book.
Some parts of the book seem to speed through but yet it works. There are conversations later that you wish you would have seen first hand but it didn’t take away.
The book seemed well edited. Usually, when I have read other first time authors there are the little things. I think with more time and writing her holes will fill.
I suggest anyone who wants just a feel good story, you should read it. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This is a clean and sweet rom com with a twang. Elizabeth works in PR, her life just as work depends in control, and with her career on the line. Logan is the rockstar, gorgeous, talented , and perfect at self destruction. The idea to fake a relationship to clean his image, not expecting to see the troubled childhood, to feel the pain, to see each other. The close door and slow burn in this story helps to drive the story through its courses. There are moments of banter, tenderness, self awareness, understanting, and there is the realization that faking a relationship can drive you to a HEA.

In Scandalously Yours, a bold heroine has to fix the mess of our brooding hero as his publicist in a setting ripe for gossip and longing. The stakes feel personal, with social reputation and hidden desires clashing.
Talbot writes with wit and lightness, and the dialogue is a highlight: fun, flirty, and real. The romance builds with satisfying incremental steps.
If you enjoy charm, banter, and a heroine with spark, this is a vivacious and enjoyable read.

Logan is a rockstar on the bubble, he's a mess and he could very well lose his music contract... This book caught my attention and I enjoyed reading it. The story is fast paced and easy to read with characters that are lovable! I do wish we got more to the story and the main couple, as at times it felt a bit rushed when it didn’t have to be. The 3rd act breakup just made me mad, it shouldn’t have happened in the first place and was one big miscommunication that could have been fixed by a conversation.
A rock star romance with proper heart. Two people who fall in the love but make all the wrong choices along the way. You'll cry with them, cheer for them but there will be time where you want to scream at them for the choices they make. Let Elizabeth and Logan into your life and enter the New Orleans world of Scandalously Yours ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶🌶 Fake Dating Forced Proximity Frienmies to Lovers Rock Star & PR Rep
This was so interesting. Logan is paired up with someone for a fake relationship but he and Elisabeth are falling for each other. I loved this story being in NOLA and the music scene part of the story as well. Loved this story and I didn't want to put it down because I needed to know how Elisabeth and Logan were going to follow their real feelings.

This book was fantastic! It was everything you want from a sweet romance. There was grumpy, Elizabeth, and sorta sunshiny mess, Logan! They made for a rollercoaster ride through a PR nightmare that left me laughing, rolling my eyes, frustrated, awwwing, and believing in hope. This book captivated me from the beginning. Fabulous!
I enjoyed this book & it was hard to put down to go to sleep. Elizabeth & Logan had an interesting dynamic. I love that it wasn't a quick & easy romance & that both characters needed to grow & change before they got their happily ever after.

I absolutely loved this book. Didn’t want to put it down. I really enjoyed the way the story was written. I was quickly invested in Logan and Elizabeth’s connection. You could feel it through the writing. They both had walls up from their pasts but were slowly able to get past those.
I love reading clean romance. Throw in a rockstar with it and I’m done for. Logan and Elizabeth had amazing chemistry and the secret relationship was adorable. The scene at his show at the end was perfection!
I can’t wait to read the other books in the series!.

New Orleans is one of my favorite cities in the U. S. so I was thrilled to visit it through this book. It had all the fun city vibes with a hometown feel.
PR manager Elisabeth is tasked with improving the image of bad boy rock star Logan. She particularly does not appreciate his obstinate attitude because her career is on the line with this assignment. His self-destructive behavior is going to destroy both their careers.
As Elisabeth coordinates a fake relationship between an up-and-coming starlet and Logan, she falls prey to the chemistry that sparked at her first frustrating meeting with Logan. Being the rogue he is, Logan just fuels those sparks. But they must prioritize the fake relationship over their own interests.
The charming, angsty slow-burn romance is full of witty banter and heartfelt growth for both main characters. This great debut novel was a pleasure to read. I recommend it and look forward to more books in this series that will be following soon.
4.5 ⭐ A Rockstar Romance... with fire, heart, & unforgettable chemistry.
From fake-dating gambits to stolen glances and backstage confessions, Scandalously Yours had me hooked from the first beat.
Katie Talbot’s debut novel is everything I want in a rom-com: witty, swoony, and packed with heart. Set against the vibrant backdrop of New Orleans, it brings a fresh energy to the rockstar romance trope. Logan’s raw, messy pride collides with the heroine’s fierce control, and their banter crackles with both humor and heat. From fake-dating gambits to stolen glances and late-night confessions, I laughed, swooned, and held my breath as their chemistry took center stage. A sweet romantic comedy that proves Talbot is an author to watch—I couldn’t put it down.
I received this book as an ARC. It was a very sweet chaotic kind of rom-com. Where the MMC is a rock star and FMC is his PR manager. This book is perfectly aligned with emotions and. I really enjoyed reading this, the banter between them was fun to read and then the connection between them felt real. I am recommending this to every reader who loves reading sweet chaotic celebrity romance. 🤗
This book has wonderful characters and a great storyline. When it first opened I could not figure out what was going on, then later on it became clear. It has such a true to life goings on and being in my favorite genre what could be bad, rockstars, love it. this definitely a worthwhile read. Thank you Book Sirens for the advanced copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
