The society has something to do with his daughter dying I know it. Like they wanted to put these people in despair in order for them to join the group.

"Happiness truly does come in… by a smiling gate."
This series continues to get creepier and creepier. This one we get quite a backstory and it ends in a smashing way. I cannot wait for more!

Me he bebido literalmente este tomo en un suspiro. Lo he empezado en la cola para pagarlo y no he podido parar hasta acabar. En este caso muestra el pasado del protagonista, pero sumado a lo que pasa en el presente, la trama atrapa por completo. Nadie está a salvo si no sonríe, pero yo necesito el siguiente tomo para ello.

Obra muy del estilo de Gannibal, pero en esta ocasión ha conseguido ponerme los pelos de punta en tan solo 2 tomos. Espero que siga la obra con este nivel porque te mantiene en vilo con pocas páginas.

Ce tome était tout aussi bon que le premier, et est plus focus sur le passé de Kamome. On y apprends notamment quel est son lien avec Megumi.
La secte paraît beaucoup plus puissante que ce qu’il avait prévu, et il semble être tombé sur une énorme fourmilière!

In this second volume of Smile ! we discover more about the backgrounds of the main characters and the reasons why Yûshi Kamome wife, Megumi, joined the cult of happiness.
After the ceremony of joy, he decides to throw himself directly in the heart of the cult to discover the secrets they so desperately try to hide from the public and to safe his wife with the help of one of the recrut, Mme.Suzumura.
This volume was a bit less gore than the first one but the psychological and the feeling of constant tension is a lot more present.
Like the first volume of Smile ! this second one was definitely a coup de coeur, I loved every single pages and I’m so excited for the third volume to come out !!

El terror religioso siempre tiene un plus de mal rollo. El avance es lento, gran parte del tomo es ponerte en contexto con el pasado del protagonista aunque ya quedaba bastante claro con las insinuaciones en el primer tomo, también tiene algunas escenas a modo de flashback que rompen el ritmo del thriller, no por ser flashbacks breves sino por el orden en el que aparecen.
Es una lástima porque en general es buena historia pero es como si no hubiesen sabido estructurar qué datos dar al lector y cómo ofrecérselos.

Just finished Volume 2 this awesome cult thriller and man, the tension is real...
Yuushi is Breaking.......You really feel for the guy. He’s a shell of himself after losing his daughter and wife, and the cult knows exactly how to poke those wounds. Watching him think he’s being sneaky while the higher-ups are clearly five steps ahead makes for some high-level anxiety...
Just when you think you’ve got a lead on his wife, the story throws three more questions at you. It’s one of those "binge-read in minutes" books because you’re desperate to see if he’s crossed the point of no return yet.

Pues este tomo se aleja más (para mí) del terror y se centra más aún si cabe en la investigación de una secta. Veremos cómo van los siguientes, es cierto que tiene algunas escenas terroríficas, pero el misterio es lo más interesante. Esperemos a ver cómo evoluciona porque no sé cuántos tomos se puede estirar la trama.

Este segundo tomo de Smiley mejora en mucho al antecesor y le da contexto a todo lo anterior. Sin embargo sigue teniendo sus inconsistencias o elementos del relato que parecen mandados a hacer para que la historia se mueva. Pero en lo particular si mejoró.

Lo de la secta de la hermandad sonriente da muy mal rollo. Con dos tomos ya estoy dentro de la historia y deseando saber cómo continúa. Muy recomendable. Al menos de momento ;)

這集好好看。一面揭開主角的過去（產生明確動機），也把角色和邪教間的拉扯與反轉可能給做出，再運用主角的記者職業開始挖掘真相和故事議題，同時仍不失「神秘力量」的介入。雖說這集帶來的多是伏筆，但完全拉高期待，看得好過癮！

Mitei sabe mantener la intriga de los lectores, o, al menos, a mí me ha tenido pegadita hasta terminarlo.
Vamos a profundizar en el pasado de Kamome en su trabajo como periodista (que llevaba al extremo y en el que usaba métodos poco ortodoxos para conseguir información antes que nadie) y en su vida familiar. Es más, veremos cuándo y cómo sucede la gran tragedia de su vida.
La atmosfera de 'Smiley' es magnífica; misteriosa, terrorífica y que lleva a un punto de tensión palpable en el ambiente. A mí me ha vuelto una fiel consumidora de esta serie, pues tengo intención de llegar hasta el final, como Kamo.
El hilo religioso se vuelve más oscuro y vamos a contar con algo o alguien que va a ayudar al personaje. Y admito que yo no me lo esperaba.
Con información fresca y algunos puntos bastante más claros, es momento de dar el siguiente paso. ¡Me tiene intrigadísima!

Reading this volume actually reminded me a bit of Adabana at first! Both series spend the first volume showing our protagonist’s current situations, and both spend a good majority of the second volume showing what happened in the past to cause the events of volume one. Both are fantastic series, so if you like one, I recommend checking out the other!
It quickly becomes clear that Yuushi has always been a rather obsessive character—something obviously necessary for an investigative journalist. While reading volume one I had a slightly different opinion of him. I originally thought that he was more of a lazy character who snapped when his wife left him, causing him to go all out to find her. This was a very mistaken take, as we’re shown that even before the incident, he would do just about anything to get a story.
He wasn’t above creating fake articles to cite, bribery, and doing overall morally corrupt things to further his career. Unfortunately, it’s this drive that partially causes the big accident to happen, leading to the events of volume one.
As this volume spends a good amount of time exploring the past, we don’t learn all that much about the cult. I was actually okay with this, as the more backstory we’re given, the easier it is to enjoy the story!
While we didn’t spend all that much time exploring the cult in this volume, we did learn a lot about a certain cult member. To be honest, I was rather shocked when it was all revealed! After we learned about what happened to her husband and what she did for Yuushi’s wife, I decided that this is the type of story where you absolutely cannot trust anyones introduction. I mean, she was depicted in such a creepy, off putting manner in the previous volume… I found myself really doubting her right until they started exchanging those secret notes.
Come the end of this volume I was left with two big questions: is there really a mole at the journalism agency? With the way this story is told, I won’t believe there actually is one until we see their face—everyone is just so paranoid!
My second question is exactly what is going to happen in that tunnel..? It definitely can’t be something good, but it would be too obvious for a member of the cult to pop up and attack.
